    Lamb & beef combo plate
    Anisha D.

I've been a loyal customer and have always left 5-star reviews because I've consistently enjoyed the food, especially the lamb shank. Unfortunately, today's experience was very disappointing. I came specifically for the lamb shank, but I was served the smallest shank I've ever received while paying the same price as always. The portion of rice was also noticeably smaller. On top of that, the service was poor and did not make the experience any better. I'm not writing this to be unfair--I'm sharing it because I've always supported this restaurant and expected the same quality and service I've received in the past. I hope this was just an off day and that the restaurant returns to the standards that made me a loyal customer.

The restaurant is fairly new and makes a great first impression. It's clean, bright, and airy, with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is modern and inviting, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. I ordered the steak rice bowl, and it was outstanding. The portion of rice alone could have fed four people! It was cooked perfectly, fluffy and flavorful. The steak was tender and cooked exactly how I like it, medium. The chickpea side, yogurt sauce, and hot sauce were the perfect additions and brought everything together beautifully. My friend ordered the chicken bowl, and the chicken was just as impressive, juicy, tender, and full of flavor. For around $20, the bowl was incredibly filling, satisfying, and well worth the price. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and delicious food. I highly recommend giving Sultan Kebabs a try. I'll definitely be back!

    chicken shish salad, lentil soup

This is my first time trying Turkish food! I was pretty excited to give this place a try. Presentation was colorful, I thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Shish Salad. It was pretty decently sized so I split it with my mom, though this experience may vary. My mom enjoyed the lentil soup as well. I wish the bread was served warm. I appreciate the free bread (who doesn't) but honest I wasn't sure how to eat it since it came at the same time as the salad. Note: Water and tea is self serve in a corner near the register. You also order at the counter and then food is served to you. Service was okay. Our server and cashier were very nice. It seems like Sultan's Kebab opened recently, so perhaps they are still sorting out the kinks. Although we came for brunch on a weekday, there was a pretty long wait, and I observed several parties waiting to get their food.

The printed menus have beautiful pictures but hide the prices entirely (why hide the prices??), forcing customers to stare at a bright digital board just to see costs. For anyone dealing with eye strain, glare sensitivity, or vision issues, this is incredibly frustrating and completely inaccessible. When I brought it up to staff, it didn't seem to matter. Hiding prices behind a screen is a terrible customer experience--it actually cost you a sale today, as I ultimately walked away without ordering. Please fix this for your customers who cannot use digital boards. I couldn't rely on my iPhone because AT&T service is spotty in downtown Campbell, so it's not like I could go online to their website either. One of the workers pointed to a tablet, and initially I thought I could use that for the menu, but apparently not.

Tabbouleh & yogurt dip & Combo Bowl with/ rice (lamb/chicken)
    Meera S.

If I am being completely honest, the food was okay. As an Arab, I felt like there were lots of things missing from the flavor of certain side-dishes. However, the people working here were so nice and welcoming that I had to give this review an extra star. , My family and I weren't able to try the full menu since this place recently opened, so the only options available at the time were the shawarma plates, bowls, and wraps. The full menu, they said, would be available the following week (which is actually the week I am writing this review!). That being said, the full menu looks like it has a lot of potential. I saw burgers and lamb shank on the menu, and they looked so good! I'll definitely be coming back to try the other dishes I had my eye on. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable with outdoor seating as well. The staff was incredibly friendly. They were always checking up on us and even gave us a few things "on the house." Their smiles really made us feel welcome. This place really has a great team! As for the food, it was okay overall. I felt like both the chicken and lamb shawarma were a little salty, but still flavorful. The yogurt side sauce, though, was REALLY good for dipping the meat and bread. The tabbouleh was missing olive oil and lemon. It tasted like they forgot to add them entirely, and it was very dry. The hummus also felt like it was missing something, but I couldn't quite figure out what. Maybe lemon or garlic? Just a note to the chef: drench the tabbouleh in olive oil and lemon. Trust me, it'll taste way better. The fries had a slight spicy flavor to them. I'm not sure if that was intentional, but they were pretty good and had a lot of flavor. For the rice, I personally feel like white rice doesn't pair as well with shawarma, and rice with saffron and turmeric would fit better, but that's just my personal opinion. One thing I will say is that the portions were HUGE. You definitely get your money's worth, plus some leftovers for lunch the next day! The thing I loved most about this place was that it's halal. The website states that the food is 100% halal, so huge thanks to the owner for making the restaurant halal for families like mine to enjoy. I'll definitely be back to try more items from the menu!

    Kofte Plate

Sultan's Kebabs has only been open for about three weeks and I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. But I stopped by with a group of friends, and we are so glad we did. We shared a bunch of different plates: the Kofte, Salmon Kebab, Adana Kebab, Combo Shish, and the Vegetarian Plates. Everything was delicious, the portions were generous, and the prices very reasonable. Flavor-wise, everything hit the spot, though we thought the Adana and Kofte tasted pretty similar, and the skewered beef was a little on the tough and chewy side. The owner and chef, Mahmut, was incredibly welcoming. He's from Istanbul and it was fun chatting with him about our own recent trip there. The wait staff were all friendly and comped us sides of hummus, tzatziki, and yogurt with fresh pita, plus some fresh baklava for dessert. It's awesome to have a local spot with great food and such genuine, warm service. We'll definitely be back!

We noticed this restaurant was opening soon and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! I brought a friend with me, and we both really enjoyed the food. The chicken kebab was absolutely delicious, and the pita bread was fresh and warm. They also serve authentic Turkish tea, which was a nice touch. The prices are very reasonable (hopefully they keep them that way! ), and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's always great to find a place that offers both great food and excellent service. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for delicious Turkish food. We'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

    Chicken shawarma
    Tamar L.

It's a big new Turkish cafe in downtown Campbell, next to the new Elia restaurant. I was in the neighborhood, so thought I'd try it out. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate. The portion of chicken was enormous, enough to feed a small army. The taste was disappointing; muddy flavor, you couldn't taste spices. So much food, but the whole plate was very mid. Even the rice was bad. The table I was sitting at was cheap and kept moving around.

If you're looking to dine in and have a pleasant overall experience, this probably isn't the place. I visited on a Saturday evening for dinner. It was busy, which is understandable, but the service and organization left a lot to be desired. When I asked if there was any outdoor seating available, the owner told me there wasn't and claimed the outdoor tables belonged to the neighboring businesses. However, another employee later seated us outside, making the explanation confusing and inconsistent. After being seated, we waited quite a while for our food. When it finally arrived, several items were missing, including utensils, napkins, pita bread, and our order of garlic fries. We had to ask multiple times before the missing items were brought out. The garlic fries were disappointing and appeared to have a large amount of canned minced garlic simply placed on top rather than being properly prepared. The meat itself was good, but the rice was unusually sticky and wet. My sister ordered the same plate, yet hers was missing several components, including the garbanzo beans. The lack of consistency between identical orders was frustrating. What stood out most was watching another table that had been seated about 30 minutes before us. Even after we had received and finished our meal, they still hadn't been served. The employee assisting them was incredibly kind and repeatedly brought the manager over to address the issue. Unfortunately, the manager never apologized and simply responded with, "It's coming," before walking away. Despite that, the food still did not arrive. The staff member helping customers was doing his best, but the management and customer service fell far below expectations. While the food had some positives, the overall experience was disappointing enough that I would not return.

Fantastic food! I come in multiple times a week and am met with excellent service, delicious meals, and a great ambiance. Everything I've tasted has been incredible, but the chicken shawarma wrap, chicken kebabs, and the chocolate baklava take the cake for me. Shoutout to Diana at the register, she was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and what the most popular dishes were. Great place to take the family or a lunch date for yourself.

I recently used Sultan's Kebab Campbell to cater a small backyard graduation celebration. Even though they had just opened and were very busy, they were happy to accommodate my catering request, and everything went smoothly. Fatih Bey was very accommodating and took the time to help me plan a menu that was both delicious and reasonable for the size of my gathering. He also gave great advice on portions, making sure I ordered the right amount of food without overdoing it. The food arrived right on time, ready to serve, and everything was fresh, delicious, and clearly prepared with care. My guests loved the food, and received many compliments throughout the party. I highly recommend Sultan's Kebab Campbell for catering.

Dear Mahmut and Henry, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the incredible experience at Sultan. The Turkish meal we enjoyed was nothing short of delicious and authentically reminiscent of the flavors I've missed from Turkey. The Adana Kebab, Beyti Kebab, and Kofte were exceptional, and the delightful rice pudding dessert was the perfect finish to our meal. Your warm hospitality truly enhanced the experience, and it was evident that each dish was prepared with care and passion. My husband and I truly enjoyed it! Thank you for creating such a wonderful atmosphere and for sharing your culinary talents with us. I look forward to returning and savoring more of your amazing dishes! Warm regards, Jenn

I would like to sincerely thank Mr. Mahmut and Mr. Henry at Sultan Kebabs for their outstanding hospitality, professionalism, and exceptional service. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel welcome and treated us like family. The food was fresh, delicious, and prepared with great care, but what truly stood out was their genuine kindness and attention to detail. It's rare to find a place that combines amazing food with such warm and authentic customer service. Thank you, Mr. Mahmut and Mr. Henry, for creating such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Sultan Kebabs to anyone looking for great food and outstanding hospitality. We will definitely be back!

I ordered lamb and meat skewers and they were terrible.

I would not have known about this place if it wasn't for the reel. I'm also not familiar with Syrian and Lebanese cuisine. Thought I'd give it a shot. Not the biggest of venues, it a bit small on the inside, they have few benches and tables outside. Parking wasn't an issue, plenty of spaces in the parking lot. The staff was very helpful and informative. This is a fast casual spot with table service. Love the garlic spread that came on the side. The wrap was already tasty enough, but somehow it was even tastier with the Garlic spread. Even the fries that came with it were spectacular! That drizzle pomegranate molasses... just DELISH!! This was one of the best wraps I had Stateside. Actually the best! PLATE: ~ MANSAF - 5/5 The Lamb shank was excellent as well! Tender fall of the bone with flavor galore, and the butter sauce was amazing as well...delish! The rice that came with the Lamb shank was OK. It was probably good, but the flavor profile didn't stand up to the rest of the food. I thought it could use more flavor, but that just me nitpicking... 4.5 ***** rounded up to 5***** for me This food here is amazing. I'll be back...

But the sambusa has a better structure, holding its shape after multiple bites. the Dough is softer but still crispy. it came with beef , chilies and other vegetables. so so good. the perfect appetizer for us. it came with a spicy green sauce that seemed to be the common sauce for every dish then the stars of the show. The sizzling hot beef plate served with veggies, rice and a salad was unbelievable. add on a lemon and some more greens sauce and you're in for a treat. the rice alone was so flavorful and it tasted like there was meat drippings on top. the beef was so tender and fell apart in 1 bite. I was blown away with the dish the chicken wrap... man. I'm not sure what kind of bread, pita was used but it was fantastic. a huge wrap with lettuce, onion chicken, sauce and other veggies. It was so messy and hard to eat with your hands so we resorted to eating with a fork and knife. Unreal. Unreal. massive portions again which are a theme here. But holy smokes this was so good. The chicken has a nice char, but is also juicy and saucy. the spongy pita neutralizes the bombardment of flavor from the meat, and the veggies compliment everything with some crunch and texture. Service was great and very helpful. They were extremely friendly and a delight to talk with. We will be back 5/5

Lighting's immaculate outside with the soft natural sun coaxing around the redwood tree. Food's decent, not outstanding. Website says they're the same owners of Tamra, a restaurant that closed down a few years ago in Sunnyvale which we both coincidentally tried as well. The menu is actually pretty reminiscent of it. We ordered the pomegranate braised lamb shank, the confit duck pastilla, the date chermoula kufta, the Mediterranean trio, and a few cocktails. The unilateral thing that was missing from all dishes was spice. Maybe intentional, but the palate leaned into sweet and savory. The kufta was better than expected -- beefy, tender, flavorful, and great with the sweet & zesty sauces. The pastilla was the standout with fun flaky texture of the pastry and the nice warm shredded duck. The duck was seasoned well and was reminiscent of pork. The beet spread was fresh and light, the hummus was plain, the labneh was too loose imo - just tasted like Greek yogurt out of the container. Giving credit where it's due, the lamb shank was better than it was at Tamra. However, the flavors and textures all just kind of melded together so it lacked depth and interest. Had the familiarity of a basic beef stew. Onto service. Abysmal. It wasn't busy. Nobody there to greet at the door, wait staff just wandering aimlessly around, food's drop and go, took quite a while to get someone to take our order and receive our check. In a word, very transactional. If this was a pho restaurant or dim sum place, I'd be more lax about it but the service sure doesn't fit the market positioning of where this restaurant wants to be in. 3.5 overall for food. It's safe, uninspired, but very much decent. Gotta round down for the service.

Their descriptions and the variety of selections and customizations on point. My husband said he wasn't hungry but then saw the food and we scarfed it all down. He gave it 8.5 and said would come back. I ordered pickled vegetables which I thought was going to be onions but I think it's actually cabbage. Not my preference so I will take that home to the parents. Did order yogurt dip- husband was a fan. The chicken thigh and filet were so tender. I had put a note on the order for medium rare. I wouldn't call that medium rare but it was tender nonetheless. I'm sad I had to pay extra for a half of a Roma tomato, salad and lavash- the lavash I saw it in the add-ons menu so I assumed it wasn't in there. Ended up with so much lavash. No need to buy extra. The entire thing came up to $63-ish. The food was 4/5 but service was 5/5! I know this economy has everyone struggling. This was probably the most I have spent on Mediterranean food. I would have expected $45-$50. We just came back from Turkey so this would have costed us $15-$20 USD. Portions for rice and meat were good though! All in all- would come back!
