I ordered the pancakes and they were not light and fluffy but rather heavy and mealy. My husband tried the tomato basil soup and he said it tasted like he was eating spaghetti sauce it was so thick. Once we received our food we were never asked to refill our drinks and I had to go to the counter to ask for our check as our server never returned. This location is the former Denny's with no change in seating. Their breakfast menu has the minimal selections in each category with a creative "flair". My Avocado Toast was served on a large grilled bread with tomatoes, bacon, arugula, feta, pickled onions and a perfect poached egg...YUM! Their regular coffee is delish & they also offer specialized coffee drinks. Every time I order it's a debate between the benny or avocado toast. read more

This is a great breakfast place!!!! Very fresh ingredients, homemade strawberry jam and overall deliciousness. I ordered the basic bacon and eggs and loved it. I also got an iced latte and the coffee was delicious. They have a fancy espresso machine and offer some good coffees along with the usual drip coffee. Tried this new cafe in Seal Beach and O M G, I'm so glad I did. It's definitely my new go to spot. I started with a vanilla latte which was perfect, i also tried my boyfriends orange juice and was happy to taste it was fresh squeezed! For breakfast I had the eggs Benedict with potatoes and fresh fruit, everything tasted exceptionally fresh and I could tell it was made with love. Our waitress was super attentive and friendly she even recommended I order a chocolate chip cookie and I'm glad I did cause it was the best cookie I I've ever had!! Came here for lunch, got seated pretty quick but once we were seated took a while before someone came to take our order, there was people that got seated after us, and got there drink orders before us, then our server took our orders, waited a really long time before we got our food! The people that got seated after us got their food before us, and they had four people at their table , and our table was just my husband and I. The food was really bland my husband got the chicken fried steak and didn't even finish it no flavor at all, he also ordered a iced tea, our waiter didn't give him any sugar, while the other tables who had ice tea got sugar on their table. The best patty melt I have had in living memory. My old benchmark was park pantry on broadway and cherry, but the patting no doubt had today was just as good, if not even better. It took a while, but they finally decided to offer a senior discount. Smart move. The food quality itself is reliably good, and the servers are always pleasant and efficient. There is a bit of a wait for the food (half an hour), but it's hot and it's tasty. Serving size is plentiful. I went yesterday around 1:30 with a friend of mine for brunch! Oh man, this place was so good! The waiters were very friendly, busy and a bit slow, but friendly! Shoutout mostly to the back of the house though! The food is what shined and worth the 5 stars! I saw one guy, from what it looked like, through the opening that shows the kitchen area...I don't know his name but shout out to the younger looking guy with tattoos cooking it up! My friend and I ate lunch about 1:00. We were seated right away, no wait. I ordered the cheeseburger, no added salt and fries, no salt. The burger was cooked perfectly and the bun was delicious. My fries were that wonderful crispy in the outside soft on the inside. My friend got the avocado toast that looked wonderful but she said it tasted even better than it looked. The service and staff are always accommodating and attentive. The atmosphere is always warm inviting. We eat here often so I feel like I can give an accurate review of both food and service. This is the kind of customer service our family hasn't seen in years!!! And I'm not even exaggerating!!! When we got up to leave, I just had to let Joann know that she has the best customer service we haven't seen in a long time! We left happy with a good experience at this place. Went to try out the place. Standing waiting to be seated. The lady at the counter with glasses looked at me an then asked the lady who came in after me if she needed help. Then the lady looked at me a second time, started to walk over to me then stop at a table to ask a lady if she needed a drink. ( she told her she been waiting for a while for a glass of water) then started to take her order. By then I'm out. Stand there to be ignored could have said she would be with me in a second.
