Waited almost 2 hours to be seated. We called ahead and asked if they allowed dogs, and was told yes patio seating allowed. We arrived and was told 30 min wait for table. We waited patiently and while waiting noticed there was ample patio seating the entire time. When we followed up almost an hour later on status, advising that we noticed patio has been available, they went and got the patio seating ready for us. However, shortly later we noticed staff seating another large party at those tables instead of us. When we asked about it, they mentioned it was miscommunication on their end and it should have been us instead. Because we had a dog, we had to wait for patio seating, so we had to wait another 30-45 mins until there was available AGAIN. we had 3 children, 2 small, so they were hungry and getting tired at this point. Everything was great the first few visits! The Patty Melt, Grilled Cheese and the Ham & eggs along with the hash browns were all tasty! Unfortunately on this last visit the food tasted like it was cooked on a dirty grill. Hopefully this issue gets resolved quickly! I would hate to have scratch this place off the list. read more

Everything was good from the service to the strawberry jam that's made in house. Was delicious and freshly made. My newest favorite spot for breakfast and or lunch and if it possible for an early dinner. They are very nice especially if you hear for the first time. The service was attentive, friendly, and very genuine. From the hostess, to the server, and to the manager they all weee proud to perform their jobs. Each had attention to detail and a warm personality. The restaurant was decorated well. It was very warm and welcoming. For food we got the French toast and Eggs Benedict. Excellent food and service. We had the Mediterranean Eggs and The Daybreak for breakfast. We also had the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had for dessert. Our server, Kosta, was kind, friendly, and attentive. Janell was super nice and the owner, Katrina, supervised the whole restaurant making sure everything ran smoothly. I've been here three times. The first time was wonderful, the second time was good, however went again today with my two teenaged sons. First the wait to get a table was long then once we were seated it took 10 minutes for the waitress to even come around with a drink order and lastly once we got our orders taken it took almost forty mins get our food. Too long. All the tables around us were complaining. The table behind was complaining to the server and the server was rude back. She kept saying the kitchen is too small...then why have so many tables if they can't properly provide better service times? The faces on the other customers were unhappy as well. Anyhow, I ordered the tuna melt and realized I didn't specify the bread so when I asked her she said it comes on rye (should say on the menu) but also said it was too late to change it. Ugh...hate rye. Eventually she changed it to my choice but I felt like it was a big deal. My boys who never complain about service were even frustrated with the incredibly long wait time. But the other issue was my son's breakfast only came with one piece of toast. I know it sounds petty but he's 18 and has an appetite of one. I've never seen a breakfast meal only come with one piece of toast. My other son said his breakfast burrito was just ok but prefers our other place we get them from, and as for my tuna melt it was ok at best. Sadly, the very first time my son and I went there we had wonderful service and food was terrific. He fell in love with place but each time we've come back it's gotten worse with each visit. I first heard about Sunny Side from a food blog group I belong to. Anyhow, maybe they can turn it around but the management should work on services attitudes and portion sizes. Tried this restaurant because of reviews and close to our hotel. We are from out if town . Great service, very personable. Pastries look wonderful. Had lunch Day 2- tomato soup and grilled cheese-yum. Soup very flavorful Wedge salad - lots of bacon and cherry tomatoes. Blue cheese dressing not too thick. Day 2 Breakfast same friendly waiter Daybreak Breakfast- wonderful flavored eggs dark yellow- from organic private egg farm. Bacon cooked just right. Pancakes! I have been here twice now. I love the bright airy decor, the wait staff are friendly and efficient, the food is delicious and the decaf coffee was good too. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars because I find it hard to believe that they do not have any gluten free bread or pastries, nor do they have vegan dishes, and the decaf coffee only comes in regular coffee, not expresso. I hope they will change these things so I can go there more often as I live close. read more

This place is awesome. We came here while looking for a place to eat between out of town basketball games and had no idea what to expect. With cafes out of your home town you never know. But my son and I had a delicious meal and absolutely perfect service! I have had a lot of Cobb salads in my life but this was by far the best one. Get it with added shrimp, it was scrumptious! My son had the triple turkey club which was perfectly made and the fries are the best kind of crisp. Server Joanne is the best! Friendly and attentive staff, decor makes for a nice ambiance. You can tell that they use high quality ingredients. Pastries are made in house, daily. The overall vibes are immaculate! Menu items include your classic breakfast foods, with some unique Mediterranean twists. Blackened salmon was perfectly cooked and delicious! The chocolate chip cookies were warm, with the most perfect ratio of chocolate chips. I had the cinnamon roll and it was perfectly baked and frosted. I ordered Daybreak breakfast. 2 Pancakes were huge and thick, not too sweet. The 2 porched eggs were just right for me, might be too small for some other ppl. 2 bacons are crispy. Guests were polite and helpful. They helped. me to open the entry door, since I walked in with a walker. On the way out, the front desk waiter told me to hold down a second, he came out from the desk and opened the door foe me and held the door wide open until both me and him exited. His name is Rob.
