I can't believe I 'live' at Superbloom and there is my review missing! I absolutely adore this place. For coffee, for working on my stuff, for drawing, as a meeting point with some friends before going for a walk at the bay, for relaxing, for doing nothing. For contemplating the grapes growing. This place is just fantastic, peaceful at the same time as animated. Coffee drinks are fantastic and I have had the opportunity to attend various events where food and alcohol were involved and always perfection. My favorite not so hidden escape.

Superbloom has been on my list for a while! And I finally made it over for coffee with a friend in the morning, around 10 or so, and girllllll, the line was LONG! But luckily for us we didn't have anywhere we needed to be, so it was fine, but now that it's officially summertime, I would say be prepared to wait in a long line-like at least 20+ minutes. However if you're looking to get an alcoholic beverage there is another little bar set up where you can order there and the lines aren't so long. Okay-lines aside. The coffee was good, nothing too crazy, nothing particularly brag worthy but it was fine. I also ordered the grilled cheese, and while it was very good, it was very salty, just fyi. The best part of the experience, though-was the view! There's tons of seating and you have a great view of the water! There's ample parking in the lot surrounding Superbloom, but there are also close by parking lots in case you aren't as lucky finding something in front. I would definitely come back! Remember to wear sunscreen!!

Their paint walls always make me smile.

I have been coming to Superbloom at Mission Bay for a few years now. My book club meets here monthly on Saturdays. I'm sure many others meet here too. This place is always busy with a hefty line that somehow goes by fast. I really enjoy the menu selection, the music and the easy to access location. I hope to continue returning here for many more years to come.

Gorgeous views, excellent ambiance, but long lines. This is not a place for a quick cup of coffee on your way to work, this is where you come to sip slow, snack on the incredible Turkey cranberry sandwich, and meet up with friends. I've even seen people coming to "work from home" with their whole set up. Its a great place for moms to meet up, especially when their kiddos get too riled up for any of the many seating choices, there's a park to the right and a huge grassy area behind and to the left filled with shade and adventure. If you come at the right time, they also have a very cute separate set up for alcoholic drinks sold from a tiny converted air stream! Their food, besides the cranberry turkey sandwich previously mentioned, isn't special or spectacular. It's certainly not BAD by any means at all, but you aren't paying for spectacular food, you're paying for location. You're paying for the bay breeze and the feeling of taking a deep breath after a sip of coffee and saying "this is so nice!"

Fun vibe! Drinks and food in an outdoor space, perfect for a san diego day. I got their spring special lemonade which was delicious and refreshing. I also tried the shareables of the salmon and chips, but wish that there was more salmon dip as there were so many chips that I quickly ran out of dip and had over half amount of chips left.

I went walking along Mission Bay ad stopped in for a drink at Superbloom! It was a pretty warm day and was craving a drink that would be hydrating. They had a special menu that featured a passionfruit with hibiscus tea (I believe) and it was delicious! I'm honestly obsessed and hope they make it a regular menu item. It was everything I wanted after a warm walk along the bay!

I love coming here for the relaxing atmosphere with views of the bay. The coffee drinks are pretty average but still enjoyable. I really like their food items especially the soyrizo breakfast taco.

The café is located on Mission Bay just off the Clairemont Dr exit, right on the water with a beautiful view of the bay. It used to be the visitor center, and now it's a great spot to relax with plenty of outdoor seating overlooking the water. I ordered a large iced vanilla biscuit latte and a large iced vanilla latte, both made with breve. The drinks were good, though a bit on the pricey side. Their menu has a wide variety of options, including different lattes, matcha drinks, breakfast, and lunch items. It's also pet- and kid-friendly, which makes it a great place to meet friends or just come by yourself to enjoy the sunshine and the view.

Pros: great view, plenty of seating, nice ambiance, great location to hang and walk around, family friendly, service was quick Cons: extremely overpriced food. Pre-made harvest grain salad with dry rubbery chicken was $30 and kombucha was $8. Would just get a coffee next time and skip the food.

Coffee Bar at Super Bloom

This coffee shop scores off the chart for atmosphere. Absolutely love the location at Crownpoint with views of Mission Bay. My fiancé and I both tried one of their fall specialty coffees. He had a cold brew with a cold foam, I don't remember the flavor exactly. It was very good but over the top sweet. I had the butterball latte and asked them to make it half sweet and it was delicious. There was a nice selection of scones and pastries. I thought that the raspberry almond scone was really nice but a bit more moist than a scone traditionally is. Flavor was on point though. It's kind of a pet peeve of mine when a place doesn't have any butter or something for a scone, as they are traditionally served with a spread. Our drinks were made very quickly and we were able to hang out and enjoy the afternoon. With the Location, you have to go into this coffee shop with the understanding that coffees and pastries are on the pricey side, but not outrageous like some of the other shops in the area. As long as you're expecting that you won't be disappointed! I will definitely return to this location with family and friends for a nice afternoon treat.

Vegan breakfast tacos (add cheese and avocado)

I have been here multiple times: Pros: beautiful views and chill vibe, great patio and decor. Cons: pricy for what it is, the food is inconsistent (sometimes it's great and sometimes it's ok), the service is inconsistent- I know they are typically super slammed but I've been here about half a dozen times already and have never felt very welcome, especially if I have questions about the beverages. The staff is often impatient. I've seen them be kind to their regulars or friends but not necessarily everyone else. I'm still giving 4 stars though because the location and vibe are so beautiful it makes me forget about everything else. Also, the days the food and drinks are good, it's really good. The tacos I had this morning were such generous portions that I could only eat one. Usually they are less full so I typically get two. On the positive side, I love their flexibility that they easily accommodated my request to add cheese and avocado to my otherwise vegan tacos. Lots of parents with young kids and strollers. Love that there is a playground right next to the cafe although the playground is currently under construction. This is a great place to meet a friend for coffee or to stop by after a stroll on the bay. And I do appreciate that they have a nice clean restroom. Only other caveat is that if you forget something or later want to add something to your order, it's a pain because you have to get back in line and usually it is long and slow moving. Also, they sell out of the "good" items relatively quickly, so if you think you're going to want that pastry in the case, or the overnight oats, get it while you are up there the first time or you might miss out. Regardless, as I mentioned before, I've been here multiple times and I plan on returning!

Smashed Potatoes

First off, the location is stunning. It's right on the water, there's a parking lot, and it's super laid back. The wait was a bit long on the weekend, but you forget about it when you're in such a nice spot. I ordered the mango citrus twist, which was mango puree, lemonade, and black tea. This was too sweet. I'd say it was a ton of mango puree (or maybe just syrup), a little bit of lemonade, and absolutely no black tea. $7.50 for an easy-to-make tea that I would consider a juice felt like robbery. The coffees are probably better. I also had the smashed potatoes. I was expecting them to be crispier, but they were flavorful, seasoned well, and had a tasty garlicky sauce on them, which is overall more important. This was large for a "small bite", so I was able to share with my friends!

Superbloom (aka) Mission Bay Beach Club - WHATEVER this place is called it's wonderful and really helps Mission Bay step up their game. The atmosphere is peaceful and offers a great view. There are a ton of tables both covered and not along with Adirondack chairs lined up facing the water. Clearly pets are welcome as every other person had a dog in tow, but all did a good job keeping them on short leashes. When I vacation to SD I stay nearby and make daily trips to Superbloom for my coffee. Last year I met a friend here and we ordered breakfast, the Breakfast Bagel is my favorite. This year when I visited I got the Breakfast Bagel almost every morning! The cold brew and is really good - occasionally I'll a splash of almond milk but either way it was tasty. My ONLY complaint is the cost of everything. A 16oz cold brew cost me $7.25 (up $1 from 2024) and the breakfast bagel was $15 (ALSO up $1 from 2024). For a quick grab cafe where it's all self service that's steep. I think the young men in line behind me said it best, "for $8 this better be the best coffee/latte I've ever had in my life!" While it is the coffee and food is good, the view and ambiance are worth every penny!

Right away, he greeted us warmly, handed my daughter a banana, and kindly asked for about 20 minutes to get set up. He was ready in less than that. Good thing we were early, because by 7:30 a line was already forming! I ordered two iced biscoff lattes with whole milk, a side of milk, and five beignets with chocolate hazelnut filling. When I noticed he had used oat milk instead of whole, he immediately offered to remake both drinks. I told him not to worry about it -- honestly, the lattes were SO good it didn't even matter! But what happened next truly blew me away: he told me my entire order was on him for the mix-up. I insisted on paying but he wouldn't hear of it, and on top of that, he wanted to give my daughter a muffin too. I was speechless. That kind of genuine, above-and-beyond hospitality is so rare. The biscoff latte is an absolute must (even with oat milk), it was incredible. And the beignets with chocolate hazelnut filling? Do not skip them. The setup itself is charming! A cute picnic table alongside the mobile shop, fresh flowers nearby at the gas station, and just an all-around wonderful vibe. This man runs his business with so much heart. The staff members also were friendly and positive in mood. I ordered their batch brew coffee which was illustrated as using Guatemala beans that provided "chocolate, nutty, caramel, and citrusy" notes. I didn't quite taste the first three aforementioned notes, but the citrusy, sour note was there along with bitter notes. I've been here before and I much prefer their lattes such as the Troubleshooter and Debugger. Those are exceptionally enjoyable drinks to me.
