I discovered Superbloom via tiktok. I had high hopes and was very excited to put this as a key stop on my itinerary. Upon arrival there's tons of parking as it's essentially perched in the middle of a beach park. The building is adorable and there's even a place to rent bikes. I am at the point with coffee shops where I get so irritated when coffee is watery and clearly tastes like sweet milk and melted ice. First time here and was so happy I found this place. I came here for a meet up with colleagues and had no idea this place existed. It's located by the bay and has its own parking lot. It's also a great place to stop by/park at if you want to take a nice walk by the bay. I came here Saturday at a 9am and there was already a semi long line, but it goes by fast! There's so much seating available too. I ordered the Sandy Beach, and a cheese danish. The Sandy Beach was very good! Tastes just like Starbucks! The cheese danish was good too, had some lemony flavor in it. They were able to heat it up for me too! I'm sure I'll be back soon. I really love the vibes here. This may also be a good place to study (I don't believe they have wifi though), if you want an outdoor place with great views. But just a great place overall. It's pretty much a bay-front location with a ton of space with large tables and group seating, making it a nice place for meeting up. I always see people working on their laptops, and/or co-working groups. It's dog friendly, as well as family friendly. There's a playground just steps away, and facing the bay. The iced dirty/filthy chai is my go-to. I'll usually come here with the pup, and my boyfriend to play chess. Other times, my nephew joined and was able to do his arts and crafts on the big tables. Very versatile. Very calming and relaxing being this close to the water while enjoying a bite or sip with good company. Love the location, but that's about it. I ordered the ancient grains bowl and it didn't have all of the ingredients described in the menu. It was missing the roasted sweet potatoes. My matcha latte was flavorless and tasted nothing like matcha and it was not remotely hot. It took them 25 minutes to make it and it was definitely not worth the wait (or the money)! My friend ordered the breakfast bagel and enjoyed it, but we were both very disappointed with our matcha lattes. I will preface that Superbloom would have been a 5/5 except they have seem to have some issues accommodating different diets and requests, my friend specifically asked for no bacon on her bagel and there were multiple pieces on it. While I liked that vegan options were clearly marked on the menu, they seem mislabeled, as the deviled eggs were marked vegan but are very likely not. Aside from that, the location and vibes simply cannot be beat! While parking is tough and limited on the lot next to the cafe, a couple circles did the trick. There could not be a more perfect place to start a lazy Saturday and go for a walk around Mission Bay right after. The line to order was long but moved fast, and there was plenty of seating in and out of the shade. There was also a pretty long line for the bathroom, which was a spacious and clean single occupancy. Prices were reasonable. Let me start off by saying I can't imagine anybody would come here if they knew what they were in for. This is my attempt at saving you from making the same mistake I did. I really should've listened to the other reviews, but like you're thinking, I thought hey it looks like a nice view. It can't really be that bad. Newsflash it can. I honestly wouldn't have eaten it except it was 20 bucks and when you spent 20 bucks on a burger, you feel obligated to at least try to eat it. The drink was eight or nine dollars, I can't remember, and was unremarkable and pretty much tasteless. It was a coconut and macadamia nut of which you couldn't really taste either. If you're thinking, hey I want to go check out the view. Just know that there's a bunch of construction between the patio and the water so you'll be staring at that. If you're thinking, hey, I'll take my dog because they have a patio. Just know that your dog will be laying in dirt as the whole thing has what I suspect is supposed to be sand but is really just dirt and you really won't want your dog laying in it unless they're going to get a bath very soon All in all I usually stay away from things with less than four stars, but I didn't listen to myself on this one and wanted it to be optimistic because it was close and supposedly had a nice view but had I known what I know now I definitely wouldn't have done that so hopefully this is helpful for you. read more

I wanted to like this place, but the experience was frustrating. The line was extremely long, and it seemed like there weren't enough employees working to keep up with demand. The staff appeared to be doing their best, but they looked overwhelmed and service moved very slowly as a result. The chai tea was fine, but the wait time made the visit difficult to enjoy. Management should consider hiring more staff or scheduling additional employees during busy hours.
