    Lobster roll is amazing
    Khena K.

This place used to be so good but food has gone seriously down in quality. Sushi and sushi bowls were all very bland. Had a volcano roll and rainbow roll which all tasted bland. We also had a sushi bowl with either salmon or tuna. We chose salmon and asked if they could do half tuna, half salmon. We were told no and would have to order an additional full side order of tuna. When it came, it didn't have much seaweed salad so asked if we could have a little more and again told no, we had to order a full seaweed side for an additional $11. Seriously? Bowl was just like the sushi. A bunch a mayonnaise but not much sauce and all tasted bland. They even took away their rewards program. Atmosphere is starting to feel more like a sports bar than a sushi place. The lobster roll was amazing and the only good thing left. Too bad because we live a mile away in Nine Eagles but will only go back for the lobster roll. I use to go there every week, but last few weeks have been so bad, for the price, there are better options a few minutes away.

The best quality happy hour sushi! You can't beat $5-6 rolls! Ordered a few rolls off the happy hour menu and me and my daughter were so content. We were seated upon arrival and food came out quickly! I highly recommend coming to Sushi Alive for the amazing happy hour specials! Also get the volcano topping it's my favorite and so worth it to top one of the happy hour rolls!

    Eel Roll* and California roll

Came here for a takeout lunch. I got the eel roll and the California roll with miso soup. I loved the soup. The big chunks of tofu are my favorite. The sushi rolls were average. They fall apart easily and the rice was not the best but it was a good lunch deal. I also got the noodle dish and it was very bland. I love the amount of veggies I got in the bowl but I wish it had more flavor and spice. Overall, this is a very average place and I'm not sure if I'll be back.

Sushi Alive has fresh sushi and has a great Happy Hour Menu Mon-Fri from 5PM-7PM. My favorites off of the sushi menu are the Gator Rolls, Mexican Rolls, and the Spicy Salmon Hand Roll. They also have 2 for 1 house wines.

I like the interior, location and our server was friendly but the sushi happy hour rolls, although tasty, were disappointingly small and not filling. The specialty rolls are pretty boring too--so many of them have krab delight & tempura shrimp. I used to love this place but it's not really worth it. I'd rather go somewhere with large unique rolls full of fish.

We eat here often and also order delivery regularly, and the quality is always consistent. Fresh fish, great-tasting rolls, and good portion sizes. Dine-in is always pleasant, and delivery is fast and well packaged.

Very nice atmosphere with a busy Nuevo vibe! The menu was expansive & offered lot more than sushi. However we stuck to the rolls and sashimi, and really were impressed with our selections. The happy hour options were a great deal of the traditional rolls like Japanese Bagel Roll, Mexican Roll, etc. We also ordered a few rolls from the signature roll menu. My favorite was the Yoshi Roll which was the perfect mix of tempura & salmon with thinly sliced lemon. The Bang Bang roll was yummy too. Also of note was the delicious miso soup. Our server was a doll & more than pleasant but service was extremely slow. Took over an hour to get our rolls. Not sure if the fault lied with our server or the chefs but the wait was excessive. Tough with two little ones to wait that long! If they could improve on that, I'd happily give this place 5 stars!

Great Food. The drinks are a little weak to me though. I haven't been in a couple months so hopefully that has changed.

There is also a grill where you pick your raw ingredients, and they grill in front of you. The dinner was $33.95 per person. However, they have plenty of high end options. Sushi, sushi mi, snow crab, oysters, mussels, and shrimp. Lunch is more reasonable, around $15-16. I am not sure what options are available for lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

They have all your staples, the sushi, the sashimi, fried foods, a ton of dessert, a hibachi, fish, crab, etc. I lean heavily towards sushi in this situation, so I made myself a plate of sushi and sashimi. It wasn't the best. I don't expect it to be fantastic at buffets, but the sashimi did taste fishy, and the sushi was a little below what I would even expect at an all you can eat. I usually can power through, but I left about half of the sashimi on my plate. The salmon sashimi wasn't bad, but it was very cold. So why three stars? My older son really liked it. Luckily they had enough non-Asian food that he went to town. They had fries, garlic toast, he ate the lo mein picking out the vegetables. Actually, both kids liked the lo mein, so that was a hit. They also have individual servings of ice cream and the kids loved that as well. I actually enjoyed that they had coffee flavor. My husband loves crab legs, so he ate a majority of that. They also had a Matcha cake that was better than I expected. Overall, I don't love this place, but for the price what you get is pretty decent. So I'm not rushing to come back, but if my kids do want to eat here, I wouldn't stop them. It's large, there's tons of parking, especially out back. I don't think you'll have to worry about getting a table.

I probably shouldn't have gone, rogue, but I've now tried other rolls, and this is what I think…read more I got salmon sashimi and squid sashimi, if I get the fresh salmon roll, the salmon sashimi might be a bit duplicative. The squid sashimi was delicious, this is a must get for me. I got two servings of tobiko sushi, red, because I thought my older son would want some. This time he didn't, so next time I should get one serving of tobiko sushi and one serving of just tobiko sashimi as always I got a Saba sushi for my dad. The rolls are where I really faultered this time. I got the fresh salmon roll, which I always love so that's a good choice. My younger son actually kept eating the rice from that roll so I got salmon sashimi through that. I ordered the super protein because I didn't think it had rice in it, when it says it has rice paper, it means rice paper instead of seaweed. I felt like there was too much mayo, because I ended up ordering three rolls with mayo inadvertently . So next time, definitely do not get the Tokyo tower, the super protein, and the screaming orgasm at the same time. I got the screaming, because it said there was no rice, but there definitely was rice. I'm not sure if the menu was wrong or if they made it incorrectly, but it also had a lot of mayo so I wouldn't get the screaming again. The Tokyo Tower also had a lot of mayo. I liked the super protein the best out of the three, so if I decide, I do want one roll with mayo, I would go with the super protein. However, if this is future me reading this, I should go back to my standard order, which is detailed in my last review. My husband likes the wonton soup, so we always get him that as well. Overall, I still like the sushi here, we ordered all of the above and had about a roll left over. So if I'm looking to order just enough for one dinner, I should stick with three rolls not four. They quoted us at 30 to 35 minutes but they ended up taking about 45 minutes.
