This is my go-to SusieCakes since it's in my area! We've been going there since they first opened at this location. We almost always order a red velvet cake here for all birthday & holidays since that's what my kids like. I usually get their red velvet & vanilla cupcakes. The service is great. Everyone seems nice. This location is at LBX so the parking is free and spacious.

On 05/12/26, I decided to indulge and treat myself to a sweet treat so Susie's Cakes it was. I was the only customer at the time so there was no wait. The worker was very friendly. I purchased a Red Velvet & Strawberry Cupcake. The cupcakes were delicious as usual but it appears the cupcakes were smaller than they use to be but cost the same. The restaurant was clean as usual and they had plenty of goodies to choose from. This location is at the Long Beach Exchange and has plenty of parking. If you are looking for a delicious treat, try Susie Cakes.

This Susie Cakes is the best of all time!!! I had a cake emergency at home, where all day I was craving the chocolate cake my family had in the fridge, but my sister ate the last of it! I checked to see if Susie Cakes was still open, and they were only open for 30 more minutes. Together, my sister and I visited this location, and we got there with 10 minutes left till closing time. I forgot they don't take cash, and they were very understanding and helped us out with other payment options. I explained to them our cake emergency and everyone was so happy to help by adding a little bit of sweetness to our day. Shoutout to Diego for helping us out!!! Best day ever.

I've been gifted SusieCakes cakes and cupcakes on numerous occasions and it's been a favorite. This specific location at LBX is nice. Their pastry case was full and the options for cake slices were plenty. Cupcakes are $4.99 each. They also have minis at $2.75 each. Comparable with Sprinkles cupcakes pricing. Personally, I go for the cake slices since it's my perfect cake to frosting ratio - more cake, less frosting. Lol. My regular 3 slices are the celebration cake (funfetti with buttercream), red velvet (with cream cheese frosting), and the carrot cake (golden raisins, pecans, cream cheese frosting). Slices are about $8.75 each and they're big enough to share. Big fan of SusieCakes. The cake, frosting, and the flavors are so good. Tastes home made. A little bit pricey but it is worth it. Great service.

SusieCakes will always be on my top cake shops to go to, especially for last minute occasions! I tend to walk in and just grab and go. Whether I'm in the mood for cupcakes, a slice of cake or a whole cake for someone special. They will have everything available. My kids looooove their cupcakes! Who doesn't enjoy a little treat once in a while?! Their cupcakes are great sizes and always freshly made. Honestly, I've never had a cake I didn't enjoy. I highly recommend their celebration cake, red velvet, chocolate and carrot cake! They also have special flavors. I recently got the blueberry lemon and the banana chocolate, WOW! like I said, Susie cakes never disappoint! I love this location, always easy to find parking and be in and out of there within minutes as long as you're decided. As for me, I want everything and forget why I'm there in the first place so I take a while lol! I always go home with mini boxes meaning slices of other cakes and/or cupcakes for the kids! Until the next occasion or sweet craving, thanks SC!

    Slice of Classic Marble Cake

I've tried a couple cupcakes from their menu, but this was the first time I came here to try one of their cakes. We decided to try a slice of their Classic Marble Cake. It was pretty good, but a little too sweet for me. I believe it was about $8 or so for a slice of cake and it was a good size. There's lots of parking at LBX and if you're pressed on time, you can order online and pick up right at the counter.

    Very dry cupcake :(
    Prim P.

Very very disappointing.I should have read the review first. My kids and I were in the area for something else and I saw this place. I decided to give it a shot. The cupcakes are very dry, sweet and expensive. $21 for 4 small cupcakes. To be honest the $10 box for 12 cupcakes at the grocery market tastes a lot better ... very upset.

I LOVE Susie Cakes but I understand the ratings might be a little lower because, let's face it, they're expensive. For me, they're worth it, it's one of the only places that I really like their fronting and their cake, but it is a splurge. But let me tell you - their carrot cake is out of this world. It is phenomenal. If you love carrot cake, you should try this at least once. I also LOVE their lemon cupcake. It's not quite as good as nothing Bundt cake's lemon cake, but it is a close second. Their chocolate cupcakes are deep chocolatey goodness. Chocolate on chocolate is heavenly. Their red velvet and vanilla cake and cupcakes are also really solid because they have such good frosting, but those are not the flavors I typically choose. But people who like red velvet love Susie cake's version. I had one of their sugar cookies as well - let me tell you, that was probably the best sugar cookie of my life. I'm not even exaggerating. I would definitely come back here in the future, but only for a special occasion.

SusieCakes is always a great treat! I came for my annual "Birthday" slice! I selected the celebration (one of our family favorites) and the seasonal Pineapple/Coconut slice. Both were excellent. I did share the slices! I love their cupcakes, slices, bars, etc. Always fresh and tasty. Their buttercream frosting is just amazing, my favorite bakery frosting around! Thank you SusieCakes for my annual treat!

I was back here again because the craving for red velvet was over taking my ability to think! Haaa! I got two slices because on the app, I got a buy $15 and get off $10. That's two slices worth and for their fresh berries slice. Again, red velvet for the win! Even though the other slice was more expensive. The girls are super friendly. Quick service. Cakes are delicious and the place is always appealing.

There's no better cake to celebrate a special occasion. Thank you Susie Cake for making our daughter's 8th birthday party so special (AND delicious!). Keep up the quality work and congrats on 20 years!

What's not to like? All the cakes are delicious and moist. This place doesn't need a long winded review. Go to any Susie Cakes and enjoy a slice of cake. You won't regret it.

This week they began a permanent pop up at Moon Bridge donuts, serving up a selection of their most popular flavors on weekday afternoons after the donut shop closes. Stopped in there today to grab a little treat right when they opened up at 2:30. I usually get white cake with vanilla buttercream and confetti sprinkles, and lemon with lemon frosting(my favorite) but tried their flavor of the month- lemon with strawberry pieces and strawberry buttercream frosting- and it's divine!! The cake was lemony, soft and moist; I only wish there were more strawberry pieces in the cake, i'm not a huge frosting person but this strawberry cream cheese was sooo yummy and blended well with the cupcake. I loved how they packaged up the single cupcake. There would have been an extra charge for the special single box, but I took a chance on their regular packaging and it worked perfectly! They have a little collared protector they attach and it didn't tilt or move around in the bag. The frosting never even touched the sides of the bag. Service is always friendly and efficient. I know they will have lots of business and will probably sell out of most of the flavors every day. Glad this special little popup close to my home has opened up!

This time (yesterday), however, was not nearly the same experience. First of all, I realized we couldn't book a table for 8 people, so me and my friends book 2 tables for 8.30PM. I called asking if it's possible to put our tables together close or side by side, they said they will try their best. We all showed up at 8.30 and waited until around 9-9.15 because they only had 1 table ready. Ok. Come the time the other table opened and it's not even that close to each other. But it's okay, I respect the limitations on this part. No one came to us to take our order or even give us water until way later, and we got our drinks at 9.45. Another critique is that my friend called and ask how much corkage fee and they said $25. It turned out to be $40. Another disappointment, but it's ok. Not much can be done bout that part. Next thing is the food. We enjoyed the fried green beans. Crudo was really really salty, and it's not only 1 person thought that. We wondered if the kitchen mistakenly salted the fish twice. We enjoyed the peach salad. We ordered a few different pasta and the tagliatelle in particular was disappointing. It really lacked flavor that we had to mix the other pasta dish sauce to it. The pork plate was good, a bit small but we enjoyed it. Now the mussles and frites were disappointing too. The sauce just didn't do it for me (other friends agreed). I always talked really highly about Nonna Mercato (I also enjoyed the brunch so much) and always told people that this is one of my most favorite restaurants in Long Beach, but this one really missed the mark for me and my friends. I don't know if this would make us want to go to Summer Nights again next time. For $130 per person (after tax, tip, and corkage fees), I definitely hoped for a much better experience.

We got cinnamon crisps too, and those were super good kind of churro like but crispier, almost like a tortilla chip but not really. Delicious though. We grabbed snickerdoodle cookies, but they weren't giving snickerdoodle, more like sugar cookies. Good, just not snickerdoodle. There were so many dessert options that it took us about 15 minutes to decide. I probably should've gotten the lemon cake or carrot cake instead of the Cinnabon. But I asked for the frosting on the side as I heard the frosting was insanely sweet and ruins the cinnamon roll. Honestly the cinnamon roll by itself was a lot better than with the frosting. The cinnamon roll was soft and had good flavor but just a bit overwhelming. I felt over it after 1 bite. So I added some of the frosting and WOOOOOOW it doesn't have flavor. Just pure sugar only. Yes cinnamon rolls are a dessert and sweet but this was like I drank pure sugar water. I tossed that frosting. No way people actually eat that. That is totally okay to not budge on your price but with that being said it is my right to get quotes elsewhere. They were very pushy and took it upon themselves to double text and say 1) they won't do business with me 2) they won't provide me with quotes 3) and saying I should go to a cheaper bakery 4) telling me "good bye" Furthermore when they first sent me a text starting they will not provide me any more quotes I understood as I am sure to not get an order for me was frustrating. So I replied saying sorry and that it wasn't up to me as it wasn't my money. However them further sending me another text that I should find a "cheaper cake, goodbye, we don't want your business" was VERY CHILDISH. I thought it was extremely uncalled for. At the end of the day, that's exactly where I sat on the countertop realizing it's first come first serve. Our server was great we were immediately greeted. She took our order this place has a lot of bake goods muffins, cinnamon rolls, cake pies you name it. couldn't help it to order the cinnamon roll, which is pretty huge. Unfortunately the cinnamon roll is bland but pretty big good enough to share. What are their protein omelette which comes with a muffin or toast, picked out of toast and this omelette is all egg whites spinach, grilled chicken, breasts, peppers, onions, tomatoes, with cheese also comes with a side of potatoes, my friend, what are their huevos rancheros. I like how their jams are homemade which is pretty nice pretty busy so do you expect the wait time but it kind of goes by quick I highly recommend

I love that they had interesting flavors and even seasonal flavors as well, such as hot cocoa. I tried their carrot and banana butterscotch with chocolate chip. Both were delicious but I liked the carrot one better. It even had raisins and pineapple in it I think. It was moist and the cream cheese frosting was yummy. The banana butterscotch one was good too but not as moist and the frosting was a little too sweet for my taste. But both were good. Besides bundt cakes of different sizes, they also had cookies and ice cream sandwiches. Lots more flavors too. I do want to come back and try their other flavors and cookies. I highly recommend if you are looking for al alternative Bundt cake spot in the area. Parking is easy since it is located in a strip mall and share a lot. It's a grab and go type of spot. Not really a place to sit and enjoy your treat.

You can also buy them by the slice or whole. Chocolate chip - bland, the cream cheese frosting overwhelms it and the cake is flavorless. Red velvet - bright pop of color once cut into. Nice blend with the cream cheese frosting Confetti - my favorite. Light, airy, perfect combo with the frosting. Parking is very limited in this strip mall so heads up.

The owner said he's reaching out to Yelp to get the incorrect gluten free listing removed, which it seems has been done. With that in mind I updated my review from 1 to 3. While I appreciate that the misunderstanding may have been caused by Yelp, the customer service (when in the restaurant) could have been more respectful and not dismissive/judging. The yelp page says they have gluten free options but that isn't the case. They had no gluten free options and the employee working acted as though the question of gluten free options was ridiculous. We pointed out that the yelp page says they have gluten free and asked if that's charged, but they rudely responded and said they don't pay attention to yelp. Maybe they should pay attention.

The reason for why we don't frequent this place enough is because it's quite a trek by foot from where we work. Since we didn't come that early, most of their freshly baked goodies are mostly sold out by the time we usually get there (late 9-10am). Service is great, plenty of places to sit indoor to work/study, and just be. Coffee and matcha are also yummy! Def Rec!
