OBSESSED would be an understatement! I can't say enough good things! Everything is so fresh and delicious and it's so nice to have such a healthy option in Victoria Gardens. So far I've had the humus crunch, pesto chicken, Italian chopped, and elote bowl and I would recommend all of them. The Italian is my favorite and I love that I can make modifications to it if I want like adding green olives. There is also the option to customize your own salad which is really nice. The focaccia bread is to die for I could eat it everyday and wouldn't complain. The customer service here matches the quality of the food and I couldn't be happier. Everyone here is so friendly and knowledgeable. Every time I come in they have awesome energy and always elevate the experience. Jeff is great and is very warm and welcoming. So my first question to the salad maker, Melissa, in the gold metal octagon shaped glasses was "Would you prefer Kale Caesar or the Buffalo Chicken Bowl?" She immediately disregarded my question and assumed that I ordered both saying "Ok. Kale Caesar and Buffalo Chicken Bowl." Me: "No, no. That's not what I asked. I asked which one would you prefer." Melissa, getting irritated and letting out a sigh at the same time while saying, "That's on you". I was stumped. It caught me off guard because I didn't expect such a rude response. I just asked a simple question. I didn't think it would be so hard to answer. The reason I ask is because I never had either and I just wanted her honest opinion. I get it, people have their bad days but please don't take it out on other people. If she's new or inexperienced she could have mentioned that too. It's like she never tried the food or something. She was not honest, didn't want to explain anything, and seemed like she just there to scoop ingredients, almost like she didn't want to talk to anyone. The food was decent. But that experience with Melissa made me feel uneasy and ruined my appetite because it made me feel like I had done something wrong when she snapped at me. However, I was getting helped by a new hire (so nice) and then the manager Dani came over and was so rude about me customizing my kids meal (which I have never ordered before). He told me I was not allowed to get what I was asking for but never told me what I COULD order. Just blankly stared and said "no". When I finally figured out what kids meal I wanted to get the kind new hire tried to help and provide the sauce that comes with the meal and Dani was so mean in training him. We decide to split a miso bowl. The setup is similar to a sandwich shop where you can either choose a signature bowl or create your own with four choices of toppings. There is plenty of seating and there was an area for take out that you can just walk in and pick up similar to chipotle's model. I was really excited that we got a Sweetgreen in Rancho and offered to pick up lunch for myself and two friends. The location is beautiful and there's parking available in the lot behind it. However, on the day I went (Saturday May 20th), I was notified that they were missing "some" of their ingredients and would have to make the orders the best they can, which is fine and totally understandable. I ordered: Super Green Goddess - almost all the ingredients were "out" on this salad, they had no sweet potato/carrots/broccoli/cabbage or kale. I ended up adding tofu, tomatoes, and avocado to this salad to make it somewhat edible and filling for my friend and was notified that tofu and avocado would be extra. Hummus Crunch Salad - this one was pretty complete so no complaint on this one Build your own - I got spring mix, blackened chicken, tomatoes, crispy rice, and miso ginger vinaigrette. None of the other ingredients sounded appetizing (I didn't want black lentils or chickpeas) and of course there weren't a lot of other veggies available. I spent about $50 for the 3 salads and was a bit underwhelmed. I get that this location is new but don't understand how they were out of so many ingredients. Especially because there's grocery stores up the street like Sprouts.... If it were me, I'd run out for some veggies at least so people aren't coming into my establishment hoping to try something and not getting the full experience. Would I be back? This review is solely for the horrendous customer service I received today! EVELYN was the associate making my salad, she was rude from the beginning didn't possess interpersonal skills or friendliness yet I continued to let her make my salad. I wanted sweet potatoes yet I asked if I can have more of the Japanese potato and she replied snappy stating "that's how they come mixed". I asked may I have a few more of the Japanese kind she replied "okay so.. which one are you even talking about". Her attitude made me extremely uncomfortable therefore I asked her can someone else please make my salad. SHE BEGAN WAVING HER HANDS OVER THE GLASS, stating "you know what if that's how your gonna be I'm not going to make it" and walked off. The manager JEFF came over and immediately asked me what are you having miss completely disregarding the experience I just had. I was confused so I asked, are you the manager he replied yes. I told him the situation and he just stared at me with no reply. So I said it's very unsettling that your the manager and you can't even apologize on the behalf of sweetgreens. He states, " ma'am since I wasn't there I don't know what happened so I'll have to ask her first". He rushed me down and made my salad so quick and sloppy, I had never encountered such a poor managerial experience! We have been loyal customers since this location opened. We were really happy to have a healthy option in our neighborhood. However, after the TERRIBLE customer service that we received from JEFF today, we will NEVER patronize this establishment again. We placed an order through Door Dash. The total was $68.00 for my husband and I. We then discovered that both orders were completely wrong with a number of missing items. My husband paid $8 for salmon, and it was missing altogether!! Absolutely no dressings were included. Due to the egregiousness of the mistakes, we drove to the restaurant and asked to speak with the manager. (Keep in mind, we paid a service fee to Door Dash), and wound up having to drive over anyway. The "manager" JEFF, was absolutely horrible. He was rude, dismissive, and condescending. His solution was to "replace any missing items". I have been in corporate management for over 30 years, and have NEVER seen such poor leadership. We insisted that they re-make our orders, which they did, but the overall experience was terrible. There is no actual phone number to speak to a customer service manager, so good luck in reaching someone at the corporate level. Your option is to text customer care, or submit your complaint through a website. This is a horrible business model, as this place is pricey. Customer Service should be at the TOP of their core values. "JEFF" could use some serious soft skills and leadership training! Needless to say, they lost valuable customers. Never again!
