With an 8 AM flight, this was just about the only fast casual place open that early. I can see why people were lined up. I got the breakfast burrito, which was filled with potatoes, scrambled eggs, and my choice of salsa and fixings. I liked that you could customize the salsas, though it ended up being pretty runny. However, it was filling and at $10, affordable for an airport meal. I also very much appreciated that it was real scrambled eggs, not the microwaved kind. read more

I didn't actually get to eat here. So buyer beware of wasting your time trying to get food here. Got in line at 8am to try to order a breakfast burrito. There was one other person waiting at the counter--where I assumed he was waiting to pick up food. WRONG. He was waiting to order. Which meant I was in the wrong line. By the time the people working behind the counter notified me that I was in the wrong line to order, three other people had lined up. So I left. Went over to grab a coffee. My daughter asked why we weren't in the other line and I had said "it wasn't clear where to order, so we don't have time." Well one of the workers had walked over to go to the back and overhead me and snidely said "there's a sign." I rebutted that I didn't have time to wait, I had a plane to catch and she rudely said to me "it's not my fault you didn't show up early enough." Here's the problem--they weren't ready to take orders at 8am. They were still setting up the line. Even if I had arrived earlier, I still wouldn't have been able to get a breakfast burrito. So the sassy comment from the employee was just a bunch of bull. Especially because I got my coffee before they even took the first person in line's order. Who knows how long it took them to prepare it. TSA opens at 5:15am at this airport. And while I don't expect all of the food service places to open at that time, seems weird to yell at a customer about not showing up.....before the restaurant opened. Lol. So beware, probably takes 40 minutes to get food here. read more

YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2017 - PART 2: 50/100 I've travelled via LGB enough times to now make a fair claim that this is my favorite bar up in here HANDS DOWN. And it's pretty dang cool the food court is right behind you as you take a seat at the bar. So, yeah, feel free to grab food and grub on it while having a drink. OR! You can order AT the bar and they'll get it for ya! The service is always consistent. Even the staff is consistent - it's always been David occupying the bar whenever I come by, and I gotta say he's been on point every time. He makes sure he interacts with all his customers. He's always cheerful and always doing his best to please each and every patron. He must like his job - it shows. A couple of TV's showing the most current updates on sports. Or a live game, depending on the season and what's on. It's no wonder most of the bar stools are taken every time I come through. There will be repeat visit, for sure. read more

tl;dr decent, but like all airport food, expensive. Stuck at the airport for a three hour flight delay and had to get dinner. Decided to get the chicken cheese quesadilla which was cut into four slices and freshly made at the grill. First, you are given a choice of whole wheat or flour tortilla. Next, are add-ons such as meat, avocado, guacamole, etc... Lastly choose mild, medium, or spicy sauce and any other additions such as beverages. The quesadilla was a filling portion and the chicken was decent. However, the price is expensive, every add-on was an additional cost and that really adds up. Wouldn't order again unless necessary. read more

Customer service was amazing! Got my fresh burrito, split in 1/2 as requested,and salsa on the side. I love whenever my order is correct,especially when its super busy! Thank you Jan Johnson for great customer service. My food was delicious, made in front of me,and you can see how clean everything is. I appreciate customer service with a smile burrito,soda, all for under $15bucks! 1 burrito plenty to fill you up. I definitely recommend you eating here. read more

Taco Beach Cantina is this little food stand at the Long Beach Airport. I wasn't hungry enough for a burrito so I opted for the taco salad with carnitas. Unfortunately, they were out of carnitas so I ordered chicken instead. For what it was, it was okay. It's not mind-blowingly good nor was it the worst I've ever had. It was just in between. There is a lot of space for you to sit with your luggage in tow. After I was done eating, I made my way over to the wine bar for libations. read more

It was 6am on a Saturday and I was starving and half awake. The tacos were exactly what they looked like in the picture. Simple. No special sauces or seasonings. I reside in San Diego, so I've had my fair share of great Mexican food. I wasn't impressed with Taco Beach, but I was SO glad I got to eat some hot food before my flight. Their menu items are pretty customizable, too, so that was another plus. It was definitely the best option in that food court unless you wanted to pay the same price for a fruit yogurt w/ granola. The con, aside from taste, is the 1 checkout area for all the eateries (except the bakery/cafe), so budget your time accordingly! Overall, not bad for airport food :) read more

If there was a zero star option these folks would get it. The menu will nickel and dime you. Want a burrito, you pay airport pricing. Ok. I get it. Rent is high, etc. but if you want a burrito with meat you're going to pay a bunch more. My son got a chicken quesadilla. $24@&#(&!)(&#! I tasted it. Crappy cheap ingredients. No flavor. So, you pay through the nose and get a bad product. Oh, and the person working there was salty. No thanks. Much better options at LBG. See my review on the greek spot. read more

Set me back $16 for a quesadilla that doesn't come with any sour cream, no guac, no salsa - nothing. The girl tells you to cross the food court to another restaurant if I want salsa she said they "share" the salsa WTH lol the quesadilla was so over filled with big pieces of chicken and the thing was so big you could not pick it up - I had to open the quesadilla and remove 1/2 the contents in order to make it manageable. It was hot, it was fresh, it was a mess and it was very plain. Next time i'll probably just go find the place with the salsa and order something from them. read more

Breakfast burrito at the airport is not on my list of destinations to dine at although this place is legit. The young ladies assembling the food are courteous and professional. The Breakfast burrito had well balanced flavor and large for 9 bucks. I have had breakfast at other restaurants at the airport and this place is hands down the best. read more

Like most burritos are $5, airport food is between the ranges of $8-10. We didn't want to wait for coffee like most people and got a breakfast burrito to hold us off for the morning. It was pretty standard and filling. $10 for a burrito is good to share with two people. Customer service was friendly but off to a slow morning start since they opened up 10 minutes late. I was a bit hesitate that we would miss our flight but we got our burrito and ate it less than 5 minutes. Very simple review :) read more

Tried the bacon burrito. $8 without meat. $10 with one meat. The burrito itself was pretty good. Egg was fluffy, and the burrito skin (tortilla) was thin, just the way I liked it. But the bacon bits were too small (almost like shredded). The flavor was there but I just needed bigger pieces of bacon. And there was another food stand nearby that sold a breakfast burrito with meat for less than $10. read more

As everyone aptly puts it, for an airport food place it's not bad. By not bad I mean, I'm used to pay $5 for a taco, or $10 for any kind of plate, so this is pretty on-par and the food is fresh. When a freaking starbucks sandwich costs $12 normally at an airport, I would not mind a fresh, baja style taco instead. The staff are friendly enough and they honestly try hard to give you what you want. I think plenty of food for the $8-10 you're spending so no complaints. read more

This place serves up breakfast with an attitude. I was here for an early morning flight and waited for them to open. There was a guy working, and then there was Ymeka. Ymeka didn't seem to want to function properly. She was extremely rude, and I felt bad for the guy working with her. The food was delicious however. Even though Ymeka had to judge me for just ordering the breakfast potatoes (it was close to 6/7am and I wasn't fully awake yet). My boyfriend enjoyed his breakfast burrito as well. read more

This place was fine. But fine in an airport is excellent (hence the extra star). Right next to the Jet Blue gates so I could down two beer and a taco without being the worry-wart that I am. Got a crispy fish taco for $4.31 with tax. ¡Ay! Muy Caro. The fish was cooked to serve though and the guy that handled the toppings/customization was super dorbs, and funny, so service was excellent (and that too on Christmas Day). Well done! read more

I always try my best to pack my own food because food is usually overpriced at the airport. I didn't have extra time to so I got a burrito here. The girl barely put rice in my burrito. It was like a palmful barely enough to feed a child if that. I wanted to get my money's worth so I asked if I could get more rice. The girl put more on and told me after the fact that it's gonna be extra $2.69. The menu didn't even have it listed as a side?!?! Hello, do you not have the decency to let me know there's going to be an up charge. It's not like I can say no after it's been done. The cilantro rice was so mushy and bland. It also fell apart so in the end it was a waste. Save yourself the trouble. read more

The fillings and salsa were good too, but it was really wet, and the bean ratio especially compared to the meat, was a little off. Always am going to want more meat. Horchata was unique since it was coconut based. Overall solid spot with patient staff. Tacos La Rueda is still better, but will be back when in Long Beach.

Customer service matters just as much as the food, and no one should feel uncomfortable when spending their money at a business. Because of the way we were treated, we won't be returning. The main dining area had a television set up but main bar area was where the action was taking place. We got lucky as there was a table available along the wall with perfect view of the game. Food, an order of the tostada both with shrimp and aguachili. Served with two small tostada and handful of crevice on top. Both were quite tasty and very well flavored in the juice. Also two of the street tacos with birria. They were quite small but did have a major punch of flavor to it. And well priced at 2.50 a piece. Of course the crinkle cut loaded fries with added carne asada. Seemed like it was a popular item as every table had it. It was good but a little skimpy with the topping. Lastly the chicken wings, lemon pepper flavor. Six piece tossed in the sauce. It was good but way too salty for my liking. We still enjoyed everything we had. As we got the shot with the jersey earlier, the person who was affiliated with the sponsor brand was walking around with more shot. I must say, it does hit the spot big time...lol... The crowd was lively with everyone all there for the same reason. The game and good company. First time for happy hour and it was nice. We had a great time and everyone working was the sweetest. Nothing brings Angelenos together like a Dodgers game! I had a few beers with my tacos, and the tacos were crispy and delicious. The steamed clams came in a rich tomato broth and the breakfast burrito was massive. The poke was just okay and the chilaquiles a bit too soggy for me, and the carne asada nachos a bit dry. Nonetheless, presentation and portion sizes were respectable. The last comment is that food here is quite pricey but that reflects the likely high rent of a restaurant in 2nd and PCH. About 10 minutes later, a guac is delivered to the table that was either run through a blender or was taken from a tub with a spoonful of pico mixed in. I order enchiladas and they have red or green sauce. I ask, Can I get both red sauce on one and green sauce on the other? Response, "well there's an extra charge for that".
