Don't waste your time and money coming here. I stopped in for a bubble tea on my way home since it's hot outside. For one the parking lot is an inconvenience in itself due to the location. The store is cramped and has horribly placed tables making it very difficult to move around without bumping into someone. There is a terrible smell and the selection is poor. The lady who took my order was extremly rude. A gentleman next to me ordered his drink at the same time instead of waiting his turn... I informed the lady we were not together as I didn't want to get charged for his beverage. The lady raised her voice at me while giving me an ugly look saying I know! She then proceeded to give my card to another woman at a different register. I saw the price for my drink $6.06 $0.56 tax alone! All I ordered was 1 bubble tea with tapioca... outrageous. I got out of there as fast as I could. I get to the car and after that ordeal I am looking forward to my drink. Well I am more than disappointed. The honeydew flavor is faint and the tapioca almost taste sour and the texture is hard not spongy or chewy grosssss! Definitely never coming back here!!! read more

I would give 5 stars for the banh mi and the value, but the rest of the things I have tried as well as the customer service would be 3 stars. I think any sandwich you order will be amazing. The ingredients taste very fresh and the sandwiches are made to order. The hot case items are always way too oily or way too dry. The prepared rice and noodle boxes/plates are always a decent cheap eat, but again very oily. Lastly, the women who work there never smile, but they get the job done. Guess I shouldn't expect too much at a deli/to-go place, but I always believe that good customer service goes a long way. Finally got around to trying Tammy's sandwiches. I am a big fan of banh mi, with my current favorites being the chicken sandwich at Seattle Deli and the tofu at Q bakery. Q also wins the prize for best bread, IMO. The only problem is, Q's service isn't always the best. And last night, when we arrived at 6:30 for sandwiches (they close at 7), we were just told "no sandwiches" without any explanation...as they seemed to have a lot of bread left. So we hustled on down to Tammy's, and came home with 4 giant-size tofu banh mi...definitely the biggest I've had. They were very good. Lots more filling, including very flavorful tofu, than Q's. And their service is better, and friendlier. I will definitely go back to Tammy's! read more

I still remember nice summer days where my little sisters, cousins, & I would walk to Tammy's for our favorite boba tea and banh mi sandwiches (yes with the jalapenos) this was circa 1994 people...lol. Tammy is still standing strong and there is a serious reason for that. It's a small kept secret in the heart of south Seattle. Last time I was in town, my husband and I went to visit and got our boba fix, the owner's daughter still remembers me! My favorite, their taro boba tea with tapioca and my husband's was the coconut boba tea with tapioca tasted as wonderful as ever...one of my childhood favorites I'm craving right now are their egg rolls. Yes, there are things like crowded parking and crowded lines that you have to deal with in a little mom and pop shop like Tammy's. It's totally worth it! read more

I've traveled to many different Vietnamese deli's and bakeries and this one was just eh. They do have a nice selection of banh mi's under $3 (which is how much they should cost!) which looked amazingly good, but I didn't get a chance to try them, but next time I will grab a few. Instead I was in for some a good boba drink and I left disappointed. I always judge a place by its mango drink, and so I tried one for $4.75 (ripoff). They used fresh mango which is awesome, however whatever else they put in it tasted like chalk and overpowered the entire drink. This nearly $5 drink was disgusting and a waste of money (hell even Starbucks is cheaper!). I felt compelled to drink it since I paid so much for it. Another disappointment, but I'm not giving up. Note that this place is cash only, but there's a Chase bank right across the street. Also watch out for the ghetto people who try to run you over in the parking lot. read more

Their banh mi shu mi are delightful! I always come here whenever I'm on my break to get their meatball on a stick and Vietnamese sandwiches! Their pennywort juice with green beans is my favorite, same price as their bubble tea but I rather prefer their pennywort or sugarcane juice read more

I just had a Vietnamese sandwich, the combo one. First I felt rushed I didn't know what I wanted yet and lady asked what I would like and she kept rushing me to order something. I decided fine I'll just get the combo. At first, I was impressed that they make it "fresh" on the spot instead of leaving them wrapped and just on a counter. Well I got my sandwich and well the pork was sour, the vegetables were bitter, the bread was a bit soggy. Was not happy at all. I didn't even take another bite. I'm actually more happy with the sandwiches that are just wrapped and left on top of the counters for sale more than that place. I'm giving it 3 stars because they do have a big variety of eats! And the bubble tea is delicious. But I don't think I'll be buying sandwiches from here again! read more

They have pretty good sweets like their fruit cake & other deserts. the only thing that sucks that they do not accept cc, there's an atm in the corner, but still! it gets very crowed here and there, but food is great! oh, you might be ignored if they don't want to help you. that's the only thing that i hate is there service. other than that food is good =) read more

I want to give this place five stars for having such a great selection of delicious Vietnamese street foods. A lot seem french fusion as well.....most of the items here are made in house, some packaged and put on the shelves while some is prepared for the deli in the front. Their banh mi is exceptional and I really think they have some of the best che desserts in Seattle. The last time I came in here however, the woman at the counter not only refused to take my order, she didn't even respond to me asking her if they were still open. I had to ask her a second time before she turned and said to me in Vietnamese "we're closing in one minute. I can't make you anything, just grab what's available." Mind you she was just standing there, not doing anything....waiting to close up shop. They have the second best egg rolls in Seattle and the best bahn mi sandwiches. The best eggrolls to me are stll from Aloha Market on Beacon Hill back in the day (yes, I still hold a candle). The only place that is remotely close is Tamarind Tree but they use rice paper wrap for some reaon. I digress, they have some good hot deli items here as well like the noodles. LOVe the food. LOVE the quality, LOVe the selection! i just love vietnamese cuisine! I only live a mile or so away, so I come by whenever i remember to. The staff is usually attentive and make sure that you notice them and offer their help. All my family members LOVe coming by here whenever they are in the area. My only complain is that it gets pretty crowded sometimes, and parking can be a pain sometimes, AND they are a cash only business. But the food is so great that i'm only docking 1 star for the 3 negatives. :) read more

I wont come back, and my family either . My husband bought hot coffee from them, end up : a dead bug was swimming in it , that bug has a size of a penny ! Great, wasnt it ? I bought special sandwich, thanks God, i didnt eat it the way i used to . I felt not so hungry, so cracked alil piece from it, a very hugeee caterpilla was there . I brought the whole stuff back to them, asked for the owner, but she wasnt there, i talked to one of their staff, she said " things happens , out of control " . Terrible customer service. Old lady was doing nothing at the cashier and we ask to order cafe suda but she told us to get in the deli food counter where 12 people are waiting to get serve. this review is more like a note to self. $5 for a Banh bot loc- banh beo, and banh beo was a huge disappointment. #10 sandwich was not the same - well i haven't been in for a while. also got some fresh baguette - last time i was in was $1 for 3 fresh baguette now is 1.25. cash only and there is no listed price on the deli items so cannot guess how much the price is. see lots of customers order drinks. maybe that is all that is still good about this place. noticed avocado smoothies and sugar cane drink and pennyworth with mungbean. but will probably will not be back again for only those drinks. read more

Gave them another try yesterday and they fail me again. Make sure you consume the food the same day you buy them or it will be rotten by the next day even when you refrigerate them. Called the manager and she said it's supposed to be rotten. What kind of business are you running. read more

Every single time I came in to buy their foods I feel like they change the price or the staff don't know the price. I wish they label the price of the foods. Occasionally, would stop by and grab something quick to eat here. Always thought that the food was decent for the price. Grew up in the South end and am aware and use to the cleanliness or lack of. Would have rated higher before until my one experience of buying one of the prepackaged salad rolls. Brought as a snack at a recent camp trip, was starving and unwrapped the roll. This is my first time to this store. I went in to buy some prepackaged food. The store was organized and clean, but there were no price listed for most food. I didnt think much of it and bought what i want. I was charge $40 for four items, two were appetizers. When i questioned them on the price, i found out i was overcharged by $13. They did not apologize or make an effort to correct the charge. This is the worst Vietnamese market ive been to. I am never coming back here again. Indistinguishable from Vietnamese I've had in Vietnam, complete with grubby eating nook with a blaring TV in the corner. Seattle would be nothing without this place and others of its ilk. Tammy and her daughter are very friendly, the rest of the staff could care less. But hey, why should they fake it for us? The place is very well run. Cleaner than Tony's. They have congee here, and Tony's doesn't, and they have a more developed sweet bakery section. Their sandwiches are better than Tony's. For my money, the food is slightly less interesting than at Tony's. Maybe all the dirt at Tony's provides added dimension. read more

ordered 2 banh mi, bun, and 2 coffees-$20 bucks (great deal) banh mi (pork) had a weird after taste (chemically), and the coffee was way too sweet (sweeter than the norm) and had a old coffee bean after taste.
