The spring rolls were okay, but I loved the peanut sweet sauce that came with it! I thought the pad see ew was pretty good. I ordered through Postmates. Definitely more vegetables than meat. The meat was a little dry. I liked the bouncy texture of the noodles. I wish they packaged the food better. When I opened it, the noodles were leaking into the plastic bag. Just a small thing to keep in mind!

My boyfriend and I found this place for a late night dinner and we will say this place didn't really meet our expectations with the food. We were met with wonderful, quick service and hospitality! I ordered chicken pad thai and my boyfriend ordered the massman curry and egg rolls. My pad thai didn't have the classic thai flavor you would expect and the curry was more of a soup consistency. I wouldn't suggest this place if you are looking for classic thai, but if you'd like to try a different flavor go for it! The one thing I will say is that my boyfriend bought the egg rolls for $9.99 and there was a picture next to it with what looked like 5-6 of them but when we got them, it looked like they took 2 eggrolls and cut them up into 8 pieces. I highly suggest not getting those for sure.

We walked in about 50 mins before close, it was quiet and empty, and we felt we should probably leave but they kindly invited us in and told us to pick any table! It was thoughtful and attentive customer service the entire visit. We hadn't eaten all day and went big for dinner. Chicken Satay appetizer was smoky with a sweet peanut sauce and a tangier cucumber sauce. Red and Panang Curry entrees w/ side of rice. Curry was spicy, savory, and traditionally tasty. And sesame chicken (if I recall properly) on a bed of veggies for the table. Everything was hot, fresh, and quickly prepared. The space is bright and colorful, clean, cozy yet spacious. Suffice to say it's also authentic! We found ourselves coming in on what I believe was one of the first few nights of Ramadan. It was decorated subtly in celebration and was very beautiful. This is great location, anyone taking a walk through the neighborhood or running errands nearby should stop in!

Clean when I walked in. I went in for lunch and was the only one there...it was early. Ordered the PaNang Curry. It was excellent. Some of the best I've had and that's my usual at Thai restaurants. Service was sufficient, not above and beyond as they were busy with a lot of take-out business.

I give this place five stars simply for the kindness of the owners and the customer service!! We came in on a Friday during ramadan. Just about 10 min before sunset. We were the only ones there and the host gave us dates, without us asking to break our fast and the food came out literally in like 5 minutes! Simply their kindness alone is worth 5 stars! *the venue is very spacious and can accommodate larger groups *the food was hot and flavorful *great customer service *halal meat Great local joint, if you're looking for decent thai food that is halal. Like other reviews mention, yes the veggies are a little bit on the rawer side but overall I would come here again. Recommended dishes: 1) general tsao chicken 2) Drunken Noodle 3) Red curry

What drew me to Tasty Thai was it's halal status: that's right, Tasty Thai is zabiha halal friendly! I believe it's the first of its kind in San Antonio. The people are sweet, our server kept a smile on his face for the entirety of our visit. Food was quick! We were in and out of there in an hour, and we ordered quite a few dishes for our party of 5! & for ambiance, I would say it's similar to other hole in the wall restaurants, with an added touch of flair near the front desk! Food itself was average, to decent, to pretty good depending on what you get! I wouldn't say any of their dishes were bad, but know what you want! My family had the mango sticky rice for the first time and they loved it! For me, I would say the favorite dish of the night was the chicken pad Thai! I've always loved pad Thai, and this one was one of the best ones I've had! Thankful for another option that caters to my dietary needs!

Visited on a weekend lunch. The service was not the best; our waitress was on the phone with someone while taking our orders and was not attentive. The vegetables were not fresh. There were also a ton of little gnats flying around our table, and we kept had to swipe them away throughout our entire stay. The visit was a disappointment to say the least.

This place was recommended by a nephew and it did not disappoint. This is our second time eating here and the food was great! Highly recommended this place if you like Thai food.

Ate here when in San Antonio 3 months ago. Made it a point to come back. Started with Hot & Sour Soup. I just wanted a cup, but the small is a bowl. Ate it. All of it. Best H&S ever had. The Pad Thai was as good this time as last time. Hard choice as I love red curry. Service great. Food comes out piping hot.

Best Pad Thai and OPEN LATE!! All around great food and service, we will be returning back soon

Delicious! Super clean and staff was so kind and helpful. BYOB. Traditional Thai food + sushi was great! Loved the Thai sampler app. We look forward to returning.

It's located in a shopping center in the Stone Oak area with plenty of parking, even though we went late on a Friday night. The indoor dining was clean, spacious and enough tables to accommodate several parties. Live music for entertainment made for a relaxing time. The indoor lighting had a slight blue tint to provide more of a layback experience. The coconut shrimp appetizer was a good choice and very tasty. The Mojarra Chicharron, whole deep fried Tilapia, was not only delicious, but the presentation was perfect. Precut fried chunks placed on top of the fish made it easy to dip in the sauce and eat. Wifey went with the Pasado Del Rio, filet of Salmon, with lemon butter. It was well prepared and had a good blend of flavors. The prices were fair compared to other upscale seafood restaurants with entrees in the $20 range but also offer some Chef specials up to $75 for a shared meal. The service was adequate even though our server had a large table next to us. Others stepped in and picked up the slack, thus saving the night.

But every time we go, I remember exactly why we keep coming back. The seafood is consistently great, the seasoning is on point, and those buckets disappear embarrassingly fast when they hit the table. I swear I have to remind myself to slow down because I practically inhale the food every time. One of my favorite parts of the experience is the margarita flight. It's a fun addition, lets you try different flavors, and pairs surprisingly well with all the seafood and spice. The service has always been solid, the atmosphere is lively, and the food never disappoints. It's definitely a splurge, but it's one of those places where I leave happy every single time. If you're craving a seafood boil in San Antonio, Smashin Crab is tough to beat. 10 out of 10.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and everyone on the staff was welcoming and friendly. Our waiter was especially helpful, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The seafood boil had great flavor. It had a nice buttery, lemony taste that I really enjoyed. The shrimp were cooked well and were delicious, and the broccoli was surprisingly one of my favorite parts it was perfectly soft and soaked up all the seasoning. The sausage was flavorful too. I personally don't eat the potatoes or corn, so I can't comment on those. The only disappointment for me was the crab legs. Compared to other seafood boil restaurants I've been to, these didn't seem as fresh. They were unusually soft instead of having that firm texture I'm used to, and they were harder to crack cleanly despite using the cracker provided at the table. I also noticed a few dark spots on the shells that made them look older or overcooked. While I can't say exactly what caused it, they just didn't give me the fresh, high-quality impression I was expecting. Overall, the service was excellent and most of the food was very enjoyable. If the crab legs had matched the quality of everything else, this would have been an easy five-star experience. I also tried their margarita and that was relief flavorful as well. Just a perfect amount of flavor.

I was a little confused about the drink setup since I didn't realize some drinks were self serve, but our waitress ended up bringing them out for us anyway. For an appetizer, we tried the Macaroni Brisket Balls, and they were phenomenal. I'm usually pretty picky when it comes to dishes like this, but these left a great impression. They were packed with flavor, super cheesy, and served hot. Definitely something I'd order again. For my entrée, I had the fried shrimp, which was delicious as well. Whatever batter they use has a great texture and a perfectly crunchy finish. To end the evening, we tried the bourbon bread pudding and the apple pie. Both were delicious, but the apple pie was my favorite and finished the meal perfectly. The bourbon bread pudding was good too, it has a strong bourbon flavor, so if you're not a fan, you may want to skip that one. It was a dreary day but we were looking forward to having our seafood entrees. I don't know why they sat 5 of us gals in a back booth right next to the kitchen instead of the front by the windows since we were celebrating a birthday and had presents? We got there before 12pm and a few booths were available by the window? I thought that was odd. Anyway, Raul was our waiter who was very enthusiastic, helpful and patient as we perused the menu trying to decide what to drink at first? A couple of friends asked what the different drinks were and decided on the Mango Stella-Rita which had a Chamoy covered thick straw, Mango-forward puree and the can of Stella Rosa Mango Sparkling wine that's placed upside down in the heavy Margarita glass like a Michelada. The birthday girl ordered a Pineapple Margarita that had some chunks of fresh pineapple in the drink. It had a kick, IMO! One of our friends shared some of her Mango drink with a couple of us because it was a lot to drink. She actually was munching on her chamoy straw and hardly ate most of her entree, LOL!! She was our onsite photographer anyway. I asked Raul how much the Bloody Mary and Sangria cost and he looked on his hand-held ordering device and said most drinks are $13-$15. The drink menus don't have prices, only the food menus. Not sure why? He said fresh fruit is added to the fruity drinks like the Margaritas. I thought that was nice. 3 of us ordered the Mojarra Chicharron fried fish dish that comes with rice, green salad and a fresh salsa. I was craving that for awhile now. Bday girl ordered the Tostada Super Mixta which was hefty, brimming with Surimi on top. Our friends ordered a cup of fish soup and fried oysters that came with fries and bread which I've never seen before. Portions are huge and all who ordered the Mojarra Chicharron had to go boxes as it's a lot of fish. We told Raul that it was our friend's birthday and he saw the presents but no Happy Birthday desserts were offered?? Food is good but good to know in case you're celebrating a birthday. You'll have to bring your own Birthday Cake. The restrooms are clean and there's lots of parking. The place was pretty busy by the time we left at 2pm.
