I can't say anything bad about our visit. We were greeted and seated right away. It was dinner time on a Tuesday so not busy. Our waiter was friendly and helped us with the menu and choices. They have a huge menu with many different items I haven't tried. The food is authentic. I had pad woonsen and they had no problem with modifying my order. I got it with tofu which wasn't bad either. What a delightful new place that opened on April 1st in a strip center on Brookhollow across from Whataburger and close to a longtime neighborhood favorite Chinese restaurant, Lung Fung, that closed recently. Area residents were READY for a good new Asian place! The dining room is open and spacious with LOTS of artificial floral decor. Seated by a smiling young waitress, we dove into the EXTENSIVE menu. Tonight we decided to try dishes new to us and share around the table. Starting with a bowl (the "small" size was actually very generous) of delicious Tom Yum Kha. Creamy, filled with mushrooms and perfectly seasoned, everyone enjoyed the soup. We ordered a fabulous grilled beef salad called Tom Yum Nea with spice level 3: thin sliced beef in some sort of fish sauce-based sauce with veggies and onions on a bed of Spring mix lettuce. The sauce was tangy and the flavor mix with all the textures was great. Another new favorite is Neum, a crispy rice and minced chicken dish with scallions, bean sprouts, and other good stuff I can't remember. We loved it! The crispy rice had a great texture and everything worked very well together. A surprise was the extended sushi menu offered along with a few Chinese and Vietnamese dishes. We tried the Firecracker roll, a delicious mix of red and white tuna, salmon, and a SPICY Sirarchi sauce. Ingredients were all fresh and tasty. The sushi lover in our party deemed the Firecracker a really great find. We wrapped up all of the yumminess with a plate of mango and sticky rice. Thin sliced mango was artfully arranged to form a circle around a little mound of not-too-sweet sticky rice. Perfect end to a great meal! Open only a week, the kitchen was a bit slow getting our food out, but the pleasant environment was nice to visit in while we waited. Friendly wait staff needs more training on the large menu, what each dish really is, and how it tastes to be able to offer top notch service. We are very happy to have this nice new Thai restaurant in our neck of the woods! We will definitely be back! read more

Tried their Pad Thai and vegetable spring roll today and it was really good! The restaurant opened 5 days ago but it did not disappoint. They also serve green, red and yellow curry with your choice of Meat (chicken, beef, duck vergetables, tofu). Not only that but they have sushi available as well. First of all, they gave me a free Dr Pepper, which is excellent customer service. I got the pad Thai and it happen to be buy one get one free for about $16 on Uber pick up, which is fairly reasonable these days overall the pies very flavorful the chicken is decent, but it tends to be that way with, count the lime and bunch of toppings. Tried this a few days ago and was so good I had to bring my family back today. My toddler loved the Thai noodles, she hate almost half the plate which was a generous helping. My husband had the panang curry which is his go to for thai cuisine. He absolutely loved it and the spice level was just about right. (I too love this and why i brought my family to try the food.) I tired the pad Thai, they knocked it out of the park. Everything was perfectly cooked and temperature was hot. We ended with the mango stickie rice which was just phenomenal. We decided to give it another try months later and while the service is much better the food was still just okay. First time trying this place and had a strange experience. Here's what we ordered: Hot and Sour soup Pot Stickers Beef Pad Sa Si Ew Bangkok Chicken The hot and sour soup was perhaps accidentally substituted with tom yum. No question about it. I wasn't super disappointed about it, because I love tom yum, but it's not what I ordered. It was delicious but not very hot and this place is only a couple miles from me. It's fine, I have a microwave and I'm not so bougie that I can't get off my ass and reheat some soup. Pot stickers were fine, albeit bland, and they came with a small cup of an unidentifiable semi-solid goop that defied gravity when turned upside down. It tasted like they mixed a little fish sauce with duck sauce. Why it was so thick is a mystery. Never seen anything like it in a Thai restaurant. The pad sa si ew was bland as well and it was clearly made with wheat fettucini noodles. Um, what? Carrots and broccoli were slightly overcooked and did not taste fresh. Meh, we ate it. Here's the "WTF" moment: I branched out fromthe dishes I typically order from Thai places and got The "Bangkok Chicken," which was a pool of what was CLEARLY Chinese orange sauce with some chicken breast, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, and a couple cashews thrown in. It was very sweet one dimensional. Nothing about it was reminiscent of Thai food. To sprinkle a little more sadness on this entire meal, my white rice was overcooked. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. My order was made quickly and was nice and hot. The pad sa-si-ew was okay, but the portion was good. Could've used more (FRESH) veggies and meat, but the flavor was okay, and they provided me some hot sauce, so that also helped. The cheese rolls, however... were amazing. I made a huge mistake by ordering the sushi here. It was truly disgusting and I had to throw it away. The California roll is not only more expensive than other places, but very poorly done. The imitation crab is left in stick form, along side little to no, warm and bland cucumber and avocado. I believe they stick the rice in a mold that condenses and squishes the rice into a perfect tube. I also ordered the swan roll, the cut on the tuna was so sloppy it was tearing apart. Got the fresh spring rolls, the Thai crispy chicken egg rolls, the Thai sweet and sour chicken (for our son), and the larb kai for us. The chicken egg rolls were delicious. The fresh spring rolls (shrimp) were the only unfortunate item we got as they were mostly rice noodles with very little shrimp or vegetables. But our son loved the sweet and sour and wants to get the duck next. The larb kai was fantastic with nice, complimentary, sweet and sour flavors. The rice was good as well. We dined at Tasty Thai last night and enjoyed a truly delicious meal! We ordered the crispy chicken Thai egg rolls first. The portion was generous and exactly what we expected: savory chicken and veggies wrapped in five crispy rolls, with a sweet and slightly spicy dipping sauce. My husband ordered the Neum, a crispy rice and chicken dish brightened by lime and cilantro. It's one of his favorite Thai dishes but we haven't seen it on local menus lately. I had the green curry with chicken (one of my favorite Thai dishes) and it was perfect: green beans, peas, red peppers, and basil with chicken in a silky, spicy, satisfying green curry sauce. Have been to this place couple of times for lunch n dinner and the experience has been underwhelming on both occasions. The restaurant is nice and clean and food is decent but I didn't get an iota of Thai flavors on any of the dishes I've tried. They did not get the spice level right either on both occasions, asked for Thai hot and the food was mild at best. The plate was made too busy with unnecessary greens and soup served with lunch was bad. Overall unless they step up the flavors and actually start serving Thai food I wouldn't recommend this place. read more
