Ordered a Mango Green Tea with boba and Girlfriend Tea through an app. The MGT came with mango bits (which was a nice surprise!) I added basil seeds to the Gf Tea and they did not skimp on the seeds! Other places definitely don't give as much. Love the crunch of the basil seeds with the grapefruit bits. Was a little worried since the app didn't allow me to adjust sweetness and ice level but guess I didn't need to because the drinks were perfect! The last time I came to this place was around the time they first opened. Wasn't a big fan of their what I think is called beauty cups. Swung by tea brick after my appointment at LPI physical therapy (if you need physical therapy work or are just busted have Dr. Yu fix you up). Back to tea brick, it was my first time there and asked the attendant what her recommendations were and she suggested i try her favorite drink the tea brick creme brûlée, and also suggested the yummee peachee lychee tea for the wife and kangnam tea for my mother in law. All of the drink were fantastic, especially on a hot day! They were all very refreshing the yummee peachee lychee tea was at 50% sweetness and my wife said it tasted great with all the fruity flavors and was not too sweet. She found it refreshing. Kangnam tea my mother in law enjoyed. The tea brick creme brûlée was very different from any other drink i have ever had. I never knew a creme brûlée drink would be good, but it was! Drink a dessert. If you like creme brûlée you will like this drink. I can see why this was her favorite drink. I also ordered their popcorn chicken, the only negative i would say is the amount of chicken in the order, less compared to other shops. Otherwise the flavoring was on point and the medium spiciness was also there with the right amount of fire. Welcome to the neighborhood, Tea Brick. Yes, I'm aware you've been here for a while, but having driven past this corner on my way to work every day for the past 22 years, I've seen a lot of different businesses take their shot at this location. At least the last tenant, Honeyboba, what is a similar business... I think one or two iterations ago, this place was a hotdog shop. Anyway, Tea Brick makes a good Boba milk tea. I can appreciate the darling cups and corgi logo as much as the next person, but at the end of the day, I am more concerned about what's inside the cup and print it on the outside. A couple of bucks more expensive than other joints in the area, but you got a wonder how high the rents are for this space, especially considering the business turnover in the location. Parking here is generally difficult, and for whatever reason, it always seems dangerous entering or exiting this lot. Proximity to the intersection with its green arrows and median islands add to the fun. Pro-tip: enter from southbound Santa Anita Ave. or westbound Duarte Rd. and use your turn signals! Everything else is asking for a major car accident. Nearby Arcadia High School ostensibly sends lots of business this way, but on my last visit about an hour after dismissal, I saw a lot of "4 kids, 2 cups" groups.... A lesson old town Pasadena learned 30 years ago, that when businesses are great for hanging out, even without buying anything,... You're going to have a bad time. Either way, hope this place sticks around a while. As I said, they make a good drink, they have a great location with customer base/target demographic at the nearby high school and library, and there always seems to be at least a couple of folks inside. I think next to Taipei, Taiwan, Arcadia must be the boba capital of the world. My goodness, you can't drive two blocks without seeing a boba place. I'm not complaining- just amazed how many places there are. How do they stay in business with all the competition? Anyhow, saw this place while driving by and thought I'd give it a try. I got the Christine with boba - pretty good! Price was reasonable compared to some other places that will charge as much as $9 for a boba drink. (This was just under $6). We came here as post dinner drink dessert and unfortunately, it was not my favorite boba. Staff is friendly and you order directly at the counter. We waited about 10 minutes for 3 drinks with no other wait. I got the Matchamisu Milk Tea and it was a little too chalky and near tasteless surprisingly with 50% sugar, and the boba was pretty hard. Came here as my coworker recommended, it's located at the corner of Duarte Rd. and Santa Anita Ave. in Arcadia in the same plaza of El Pollo Loco. Plenty of parking spaces so it's nice and stress free. Tried out their Original Green Milk Tea with 25% sugar level and less iced, the green tea tasted pretty strong and refreshing. The Koala cup is really cute and their customer service is friendly and very timely. I will try their fruity tea next time :) They still practice certain covid precautions such as masking and social distancing to protect their customers and the community. I stopped by on a extremely hot day (typically LA weather) with a friend. Surprisingly there weren't any other people there, but it was around 6pm so people were probably getting dinner. We ordered the yummee peachee lychee with less ice and 75% sweetness and the Christine with 75% sweetness. The peaches lychee is my go to drink, I think I might need to go down on the sweetness to 50% because I felt it was a little sweet this time. My friend ordered the Christine and thought it wasn't sweet enough. She did ask the girl working how sweet the drink was and the worker said it isn't that sweet actually. But my friend was nervous that it would be and after drinking it, she wished it was sweeter. At least next time she knows. Great quality food and drinks, great and friendly staff always. Their interior has improved and is always welcoming but the space is just tight, but nice and bright atmosphere. My only complaint about this place however as being a long time customer is that I wished the manager would stop changing the boba they used, a few years back they had this delicious clear and red honey boba that made them special and stand out, and were great quality. I still enjoy their drinks as they're still delicious and enjoyable! I recommend the Lychee Berry at 25% sugar if you're looking for something refreshing. It's my personal favorite. I am also a big fan that they put a lot of real fruit pieces in their tea. They also have cute cups that you can reuse. The downside of the cups is that it doesn't have a hole to put a straw through. My favorite top drinks: Christine- My number one favorite. It's a strawberry, mango and passion fruit tea with mango and strawberry fruit. Very flavorful and delicious. Vanessa- Strawberry and peach tea with little bits of strawberry and lychee. Tea is strong and refreshing. I am thinking these drinks named after girls the creator dated? Unable to move a muscle and open one of my eyes, I tell my son to go in and get his mama a drink. You choose, sweetie, choose one for me. He came back with one of their Top 10...#3 Teabrick Milk Tea. I don't know if it was because I was dying of thirst but I drank that huge milk tea in less than 5 minutes. Really good quality tea and the sugar level (0% percent) was perfect for me. My son aka Boba Boy enjoyed it as well. Sometimes all I need is that first drink to impress me. I would come back to try others if I lived here. Bummer that the drinks didn't come in one of those cute containers with the animal prints. It would have made for a nice souvenir. All we got was a sticker on the cup. Parking is super easy. This Tea Brick location opened during the middle of April, taking over Honey Boba's location, which is in the same plaza as El Pollo Loco and right across from the Arcadia Library. Tea Brick is known for their cute little reusable plastic containers. Currently they have cute little corgis on their plastic drink containers (a repeat from previous years, from other locations. Not a different cup for those that already have this collectable). Although very cute, these plastic drink containers are very flimsy. Anyways, my husband and I decided to make an order on grub hub for a few drinks and pick up in store on a Sunday afternoon. We eventually got our drinks after a mishap (will discuss later). We had to ask for a drink holder (not sure why it wasn't automatic when we ordered 4 drinks) and then headed to our car and back to our home. We ended up purchasing: Brown Sugar Snow Milk, $5.95- I ordered this to be made with less ice (since it cost more to request for no ice) and use of 50% sweetener. I thought the drink was standard. Have no complaints with this drink. The Vanessa Tea, $5.95- My husband opted for this drink to be made with 50% sweetener and thought it was good but not very memorable. It was fruity but didn't really make this drink special or worth the price. Tea Brick Milk Tea, $5.35- This tea was just average and don't think it's worth the price. I ordered this drink to be made with 50% sweetener and though the sweetness level was still a little on the sweet side. Yummee Peachee Lychee Tea, Hot, $5.95 prior to tax- My husband ordered this drink to be hot and made with 50% sweetener. He was upset that his drink was placed in a damaged cup (check out my photo), which ended up leaking. The lid was placed where the cup was bent which prevented any tea to come out of the hole to drink. It just seems odd that a business would knowingly give us a cup that is damaged, especially after paying such a high price for this drink. Just like the Vanessa tea, this drink was good but was not memorable. ------------------------- (Total= $25.58 after tax) Service definitely could improve big time here. When we first lined up, we walked over to the pick up window. An employee said we had to wait in the order line, even though we told her we had already ordered and paid through grub hub. My husband told her we were here earlier and said the same thing.... even though we had just told her before. So she finally gave us our order. With this unnecessary need to wait in the order line and have another customer get our drink before us, in addition to the damaged cup, we won't be back here. I love the fruity concoctions here. Each fruit tea has multiple toppings in it like basil seeds, fruit bits, jelly, etc. It's been years since I've been to the MPK Tea Brick location but I was excited to try it out again after hearing one opened up closer to home. We ordered the guava lava tea and the yummee peachee lychee tea, both at 75% sugar. The drinks were pretty good--I could definitely taste the tea base. I could probably cut down the sugar a bit more to 50% and it would still be plenty sweet for me. Overall, their drinks are good and pretty to look at but on the pricier side. Tea Brick opened and I knew I had to try it when I saw their cute corgi logo. The shop is very nicely remodeled and ready for takeout customers. I reviewed the menu ahead of time online, but they have menus available and their top ten board for suggestions. I got the Thai tea (regular sweetness) and it was perfect. There was the perfect amount of sweetness and milk. The drink prices are a little expensive, but I was impressed by how good their tea was on my first visit. Tea Brick has finally opened up in Arcadia, taking over Honeyboba's location. Definitely great for Arcadia students once the schools are able to open up again. I've always thought that Monterey Park's Tea Brick makes fairly decent drinks, but prices are a little on the higher side since you're not only paying for the drink but the reusable plastic bottle they use for the drinks as well. This Tea Brick just opened up, but already it seems like the interior is much brighter with more open windows and wooden earth tones as compared to the MPK location. No tables/chairs available and they're strictly to-go or delivery; they are currently CARD only so don't bring cash. I do like their new menus - they've taken the popular fruity tea creations from the MPK's chalkboard and placed them inside bottles on their menu, allowing you to see the colors and ingredients of the tea - this is great for people appreciating visual details! Besides fruit teas ($5.85 each and comes with fruit bits), there's milk teas and matcha drinks, flavored iced tea, soda bombs and mojitos ($5.85), snow milks and milkshakes, and snacks and desserts. You're looking at around $6 per drink. But while the bottles look small, they do fill up an entire 24 oz cup from another boba shop, so that's good to know. Of course we got the original Tea Brick milk tea for $5.15 and additional $0.60 for boba to give the most standard drink a try. The tea was on the stronger side, with not as much milk flavoring; but the quality was pretty good without being too sweet, even without adjusting for sugar. I do think charging $0.60 for boba is a little much since most places normally charge $0.50, especially since the ratio of boba to tea was a little off (for me). Their boba is a little on the smaller side - right in the middle of a regular sized boba and mini sized boba - but was a tad bit overcooked. The centers were hard, but the boba itself had a good amount of sweetness. We also tried the caramel snow milk ($5.65 but the drink comes with honey boba). I thought the drink was too icy with not much flavoring at all. There wasn't enough caramel in the drink and the boba was a little on the harder side. After the ice ended up melting, it caused the entire drink to taste quite bland. I personally wouldn't order this again, but my sister thought the drink was alright. I like that they serve the drinks in the reusable bottles, but after collecting one of that season's designs, I don't really need another bottle the next time I come back. Feels kind of wasteful to always throw them out, too. The drinks that I ordered during this visit were alright, but I plan to try some of the fruity teas the next time I visit. read more

I haven't had boba in 2months since the quarantine started, so I decided it's finally time for some boba. I decided to get Tea Brick since they finally opened one up in Arcadia, in replacement of HoneyBoba. It was super convenient ordering through yelp for pick up! Since I was following the timing on yelp, I arrived much earlier than the "ready" time (about 10-15mins). I decided to walk in and double check if my drinks are ready. Not only were they made, but the drinks were also already bagged and stored in the fridge! It was definitely nice to see the drinks were kept cold and refreshing rather than just sitting out in room temperature :) Here is what I ordered: The Vanessa Tea - half sugar, no add-ons Yummy Peached Lychee Tea - half sugar, lychee jelly The Christine Tea - regular sugar, added boba I'm usually a half sugar person when it comes to boba, so I ordered the Vanessa Tea with half sugar, no add-ons. It came out pretty bitter and didn't taste like there was much sugar at all. The tea itself is not bad at all, but next time I will definitely give their regular sugar a try. I ordered the Yummy Peached Lychee Tea for my little brother in half sugar with lychee jelly thinking the lychee jelly will bring the sugar level up a notch. However, the drink was surprisingly not as sweet as expected. I guess it is more of a safe bet to get regular sugar here at Tea Brick! And for the third drink which I ordered for my sister, she loved it! She kept it at regular sugar level, and I have to say it was perfect.
