Went here a month ago and had a terrible experience and figured with all the good reviews I'd try it again... let's just say I won't ever be going back. It's terrible service from the start and I swear all of these 5-star reviews have to be faked or bought. Their coffee is "self serve" meaning they'll let you go pump your lukewarm coffee out of a canister that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. When I asked the lady to make a new pot, she just dumped more coffee into the dirty containers and you could even see a nasty layer of film on the inside of all the equipment they were using, meaning when I finally got a hot cup, it still tasted terrible and had visible particles floating all around in it. Their potatoes were rock-hard little bricks, like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp since last week and then reheated in a microwave for good measure. You literally couldn't stab them with a fork lmao. The rest of the food followed suit, just seemed lukewarm like it'd been under a lamp or sitting in the counter for a while and was put together and played very sloppy. I'm not the type of person to even write reviews but I left the majority of my plate on the table both times because it wasn't good and the whole operation just felt very lazy. read more

This was our first time eating here and we were really impressed with how delicious our food was! I wish I had taken some extra time look over the menu before I ordered, as there were so many yummy sounding options to choose from. My husband's pork tacos were delicious. I tried the strawberry feta avocado toast and really liked it. We also shared the Bananas Foster French Toast and it was TO DIE FOR!!! My husband is a coffee snob and was thrilled with how good their coffee was. We were stuffed and still had plenty of leftovers to take home. Next time, we plan to sample a mimosa flight. read more

Everything came out nice & hot, stacked high, filled the plate and had some weight. It felt more like lunch lol Everything was SO GOOD! My boyfriend's a chef so he tends to be more picky than me and he was nothing but smiles and greasy hands with his burger. My bestie loved her tacos, especially the 2 tortillas per taco, and that everything tastes fresh. My French toast was massive, gooey and amazing. Very thick toast! Enough toppings & fillings to make a whole other plate lol Needless to say we all needed a nap afterwards lol We had a lot of fun talking with the owner. I'd give this place 4.5 stars. The coffee I ordered is the reason I'd take off a half of star. I talk about that later. Went here around 11:45 on a Tuesday for lunch with a friend. As soon as I walked in, I saw their special board that had a bacon Benedict burrito and after reading the ingredients, I was SOLD. I am so glad I ordered it because it is easily in the top 3 of the best things I've ever eaten. It's a burrito that has potatoes, bacon, and a cheese fondue inside then topped with some sort of aioli & hollandaise, a crispy cheese layer, eggs, pico, and pickled onions. Everything was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Nothing was soggy even with it being topped with sauce. The potatoes and bacon were perfectly crisp. I woke up thinking about this burrito the next day. I also go a cold brew with mint chocolate chip cold foam- it was ok. The coffee was good and the mint flavor was subtle. First few sips were good but the chocolate started being overwhelming. My friend got the same coffee and she enjoyed it. She also got the BLTA which came with waffle fries and she said it was really good. The staff was polite although he kept looking at me like he was confused. The inside of the restaurant is clean and colorful. The mural on the wall is nice. I missed getting a picture of the cool book wall. read more

Since TC Eggingtons has gone to shit we're on the search for a new breakfast place. This one is up there. Their hollandaise is a cheater. They definitely use cream. It's also walk up & seating & parking lot is small BUT eggs cooked perfectly. Potatoes on point. Coffee yum. Menu very modern in a good way. No omelettes but multiple breakfast burgers, tacos, & burritos. Even a breakfast nacho. Really good looking Benedicts & breakfast bowls & over the top French toast. Everything I saw come out of that kitchen looked BOMB. Service was fast & friendly. it's nearby the riparian preserve on the way back to the house so perfect for after the park. While chatting with a great friend up in Idaho a while back she asked if I'd been to Thanks A Brunch on any of my food adventures in the East Valley. She let me know how great it was when in Idaho. I was meeting my daughter in the area this morning so we took it as a great opportunity. When I say, "Why did I wait so long?" It's a definite understatement. This location sits in an unassuming strip mall next to a Dutch Bros. Once inside while only a limited amount of seating the service was phenomenal instantly. We were greeted, asked if we'd been on, she went over the menu and specials. All with a smile. We felt welcomed and appreciated. When you enter you walk into not only an electronic menu on the wall, but actual menus on the counter where you order, are given a number and given a number. You can seat where ever is available. Drinks are soft serve sodas, but coffee options are also available etc and they will be brought out. Today we tried the elote avocado toast to share, breakfast bacon fries, and a ham and Gouda sandwich on their specials menu. Of course when I saw a cold brew option I had to take it especially when also paired with another special ...banana foster cold foam on top of it. SOLD! everything came out quickly . I questioned my daughter if I'd like the Elote Avocado Toast, but man was I wrong it was amazing. We did order it sans the hot honey since my daughter doesn't like it. I think some people like their cold brew bitter but for me the pumpkin foam and caramel flavors get lost in the coffee All in all a great experience and the ambiance and people were very friendly. I had given up on brunch restaurants because most places these days put more energy in creating a "vibe" and fun atmosphere than they do making quality food. This is the antithesis of that experience. The food here is so freaking good. You can tell the people behind the menu actually know how to cook food. My daughter happens to have been born on Valentines Day so finding a place to celebrate comes with challenges. This year we decided to try something different and go somewhere new to everyone. My daughter found Thanks A Brunch on line and decided that was where she wanted to go. We are a party of 9 so usually I try to make a reservation or get on a wait list. When I went to Thanks A Brunch website it has a book your table tab. I push this tab and it told me that they were not taking bookings at this time. So I thought we'll just have to get on the wait list when we arrive. Imagine my surprise when we arrive to find out it is a cafeteria style restaurant. Being Valentines Day it is pretty busy and loud so I look around at the tables and see that their biggest table only seats 4 so we find a 4 top next to 2,2tops thinking when those people leave we'll push those together so we can eat together. Just to be transparent about half of our party is at the establishment. Myself and my 84 year old mother sit down at the 4 top. We are discussing the 2,2 tops when an employee approaches and tells us that there is no "seat saving here" I respond with "we are a party of 9 and we want to sit together " the employee then replies with "there is no seat saving here, everyone must be in line" I look at the employee and say my mother is 84 and you want her to stand in line. The answer was yes. I then stated then we'll go somewhere else. The employee starts to tell me how their location in Mesa. I interrupted them at this point and tell them we are not going there and in fact will never patronize here. I would never order food until I knew I had a place to sit. I find it reprehensible that they expected an 84 year old to not sit at a table before ordering and that a party of 9 was expected to grab whatever table was left around the restaurant and not sit together. Yes I do think for a party of that size and with the elderly exceptions should be made. In fact I actually don't understand the whole no seat saving rule here. read more

My daughter and I went to Thanks a Brunch for the first time. We were so pleasantly surprised with all the unique offerings for breakfast. We each had a cold brew coffee, which was delicious. we had to try the cookie butter French toast, wow, very delightful. For just five dollars more I was able to add two eggs, potatoes, and sausage patties to the order of the French toast. I found that to be a great bargain. My daughter ordered one of the eggs Benedicts that looks spectacular and she loved it.
