First time here was on Thursday! No line so it was perfect! My friend sat in 2 hours ofLA traffic just to meet me! They had a bar we could sit at but chose the table. The staff was all very friendly. Told them it was our first visit. They went thru the menu and everything looked so good!!! I saw they had garlic noodles but that night we stuck with snow crab, clams, non peeled shrimp(that's a must, the flavor is so much better with the shell on), corn and potato. We got it in the mild sauce and dang I'm glad we got the mild because I was still sweating with the mild. I'm clearly a wuss when it comes to spices. But everything was soooo good! I normally love this place - and this review isn't about the food, it's about the service. During COVID I placed an order for pickup and when I got home I realized the shrimp were missing ($20). I called this location and the manager was rude and said there was nothing they could do. He insisted it was my fault because they ask customers to check the bag and because I missed the shrimp and didn't see that they messed up my order he would not help. I spent $100 this day and they refused to help me out. He had me on hold for 20min to come back and say there was nothing he could do, when he could have just given me a bag of shrimp. He gave me the number to "customer service" that goes directly to voicemail and no one has contacted me back. This one experience has ruined this location for me. read more

This place is second best if you're not willing to drive to San Pedro or Redondo beach for fresh seafood. I had the fish and chips thinking it was going to be like others and it wasn't. The fries were cooked to order and came out freshly hot. The fish was tender. The only thing that was a little excessive was the Cajun seasoning. It was all over the fries and fish. It wasn't bad but a little much for my taste. It got pretty busy while we were there so I recommend getting there early. read more

Garlic noodles are amazing, I added crab and it tasted pretty close to Crustacean's secret recipe!! So happy to find a local fix. (Skip the sausage on the garlic noodles, totally unnecessary and takes away from the shrimp and crab flavor!) The dish has A LOT of garlic AND plenty of shrimp. One order was enough for two meals, with leftovers! Clam chowder is great! My only feedback is they should remove the bay leaves before serving because no one wants to bite into a bay leaf! And it's a touch too salty for my taste, but very savory. Will order again! French fries are really good, cut thin, seasoned well and super crispy even after arriving home on a take-out order. Today my friends and I came here for the first time. There's a big parking lot so parking was a breeze. We really enjoyed the food and the guys enjoyed the nice cold beers and all the large tv's on the wall showing football games. The seafood was seasoned really well. Very clean and inviting but able eat some delicious seafood with your hands is a lot of fun and the price and service is exceptional. We ordered a pound of shrimp with sausages, corn and Cajun fries and I could hardly believe our order ended under $30 for all that fresh and pipping hot food. I love this place so much! But I'm giving it 1 star because of their dumb policy for ordering right now during Covid-19. You can't phone order more than $50. For orders over $50 you have to go into the restaurant and wait there. I understand people have ordered and don't pick up. But why not take a credit card over the phone??? Problem solved! But they wouldn't even do that. And when I commented on Instagram about this policy they deleted my comment. I'll just have to make the drive to Boiling Crab. read more

BUT my first time experience was a 3/5 . we had to swap the beer out twice .. once because it was warm ( which they admitted themselves and gave us no issue replacing ) 2nd Time seems like the cups were dirty or idk what but we had some floaties which at first I thought some sauce had fell inside but really looking at it it kinda looked like mildew but again no issue replacing ! We were short salt & pepper . We asked 3x before it was brought out ( I thought this was suppose to be brought out automatically) We asked for them to separate our bags since we were a semi large party that way no one needed to reach .. when the food came it was all in one big ass bag not separated The shrimp was over cooked & the crawfish was tiny .. I was over it and got tired of looking for crawfish meat . But the flavors were amazing to everything . I just felt maybe it wasn't a good day or just wasn't our luck that day .. I ordered the 1lb peeled shrimp crab shack style medium spicy and it was just ok. I payed $5 more for the "peeled" shrimp, but the tail part wasn't peeled, so don't really consider that peeled, and for $5 more I want to be able to just eat it without any work. The quantity also didn't seem like it was a pound, maybe about 12 medium size shrimp...didn't seem like a pound, I highly doubt it was. The sausage was good, the corn was good, the flavor was overall ok. I've tried stinking crawfish down the street and I think the overall experience was better there for me, the portions were better, the flavor was better and the price is better. I did feel a little ripped off on the quantity of shrimp for the price. read more

Okay so this place used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I liked it even more than the Boiling Crab because the location is much more convenient and the food also tasted good. I even took everyone--my friends, my roommate, date, family to come here all the time. However, tonight's take out experience is so horrible that I can't help but to leave this place a one star review. I'm not sure if this only happens to take out orders because I have never experienced this dining in. I ordered a pound of shrimp and Cajun fries. The fries were great so nothing to complain there. But the shrimps were absolutely unacceptable. Out of the entire pound of shrimp, only about one or two of them were edible. THE REST of them were all super mushy as you can tell those were all dead seafood--not fresh AT ALL! I couldn't even peel those shrimp normally because they would just break apart from how mushy it was. They were disgusting and could not be eaten. I felt really cheated as this was a take out...so I couldn't even complain and ask for something better. Not sure if they do this purposely to take out orders instead of dine in because that way customers can't ask for a replacement or complain about it :/ really really disappointed about this experience tonight as I have been craving for the Crab Shack for a while and was super excited to eat it. Felt like my money has completely gone to waste and my appetite totally ruined. Not sure if I will give this place another chance in the future... Also if you want to order takeout on a Sunday, it's impossible because the call will never go through. It goes straight to voicemail saying the voicemail inbox is full. First time visiting the new crab shack store on Artesia in Gardena. Very clean, nice and friendly environment. They even have flat screen TVs in the entire place!. My friends and I were served by a guy named Cary. The place was relatively busy but Cary gave GREAT customer service despite walking back and forth from different tables to the kitchen during dinner time. He was quick, friendly, and carried nice small talk with me and my friends. I will definitely come back! read more

I went to the Crab Shack with high hopes. I love steamed crab. The crab did not disappoint. it was delicious, the seasoning great. But, the waiters have no idea what "timing a dinner" is. none. Party of three. We ordered appetizers, main courses of crab, mussels, a side order of onion rings, and a cheeseburger. Within minutes - the crab & mussels came to the table. The appetizer about 10 minutes later. the onion rings a few minutes later. The burger? Well the burger arrived about 45 minutes after the crab. yup, 45 minutes later. I asked for the check & was surprised that they charged for the burger. I paid my bill without complaining. Next time, i'll just order crab. read more
