Parking~It's in a strip mall and, it's plenty of parking Service~Jonathan was our server and, he was absolutely amazing. My cousin has a gluten free allergy and, she wanted the crabby fried rice and, he went above and beyond to find out if she could order it and, she was able too. Now that is A-1 customer service if you truly ask me. Food~I ordered head on shrimp and mussels with garlic butter and lemon pepper sauce it was very divine, piping hot, and it was very flavorful! Ambience~The music was playing at ear level but, you were able to hold a conversation among each other if you want. I would highly recommend this location I will definitely visit this seafood restaurant again when I am in town!

My mommy and I had a time at crab shackl! We havent had any kind of crab boil for years but all we said is we will be back to try more! Next time I'm taking a gander at king krab crawfish. I had to ensure flavor was on point as well as freshness! The Cajun spicy butter added a burst of flavor not spicy at all. They delivered and we are well pleased ! The line was waiting before they opened which was a good sign! They played great music too! Happy birthday to m!

f you're looking for a flavorful seafood boil, The Crab Shack is hands down the best spot in the area! Knowing how popular this place can get, we decided to arrive right at 5 p.m. when they opened to ensure we'd get a seat. Our waiter, Elijah, made the experience exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and had a fantastic sense of humor that made the evening even more enjoyable. Elijah walked us through the ordering process, offered great recommendations, and helped us navigate the menu with ease. Following his suggestions, I ordered a feast of snow crab, shrimp, sausage, and corn, all seasoned with the "Whole Shabang" seasoning in a mild heat level. The seasoning was a perfect blend of all three flavors, offering a delightful kick without overwhelming the taste buds. I also had a side of rice, which was a great addition to soak up all the delicious flavors. A heads-up: some items are market-priced, so it's wise to ask about pricing before you order. Elijah made sure to explain this, so there were no surprises when the bill came. The crab legs were exceptionally fresh, and the shrimp and sausage were cooked to perfection. Everything was seasoned just right, with plenty of flavor and the perfect amount of spice. Overall, The Crab Shack is a must-visit for seafood lovers, and I'll definitely be returning. Big thanks to Elijah for making our visit memorable and to The Crab Shack for serving up such fantastic seafood!

Me and my Mom were craving our boil fix and this place did just the job. Let me tell you that these crab legs were so meaty and juicy. The shrimp also was on point. Although you can have them peeled for a bit extra just don't do it. I've had them both ways and the flavor is not the same for when you order them peeled. I highly recommend the combo #2 with the crab shack style seasoning. The only complaint I have is the establishment itself was a bit hotter than outside. But other than that the food was delicioso! We will be back.

This is my go to spot for Cajun shrimp & crab! I usually go to the other location on Redondo blvd, but appreciate this one closed later. Service here was great, we were sat quickly, wasn't too long of a waitlist. Or servers kept coming to check on us, which I love because sometimes you need extra utensils or something and your hands are a mess and you don't want to have to walk to the counter like I have at the other location because they don't follow up as much. I usually get plain fries, but this time I decided to try to Cajun fries- it's Cajun powder on the fries. They were good. We ordered the #1 combo. Craw fish, shrimp and mussels. Medium spicy crab shack style. The spice level was definitely medium! My nose was running, but so worth it. The mussels had a great flavor and the shrimp never fails! It was cooked perfectly too, not over done where it becomes rubbery. The crawfish weren't my favorite, but that's in general. It doesn't speak to the restaurant. Always add corn for a little sweetness

Garlic noodles (chefs kiss) . Very clean inside and service was very attentive. 1lb shrimp/potato's crab shack style, mild. Definitely hit the spot

Really delicious, Gumbo. My awesome server, Gabe, took great care of me with awesome service. Got my gumbo mild so I could spice it myself. Mr Gabe thought ahead and handed me more than 1 hot sauce. I see what yah did there, sir. Well played. It spiced it but almost in a sweet way. I love it! He even took the time to conversate with me and made great suggestions, and had my rice on the side. Smart man. Saved me. I was able to take the rice to go for the fam. With the peaceful ambiance, I had a great experience. Thanks, Gabe F. And staff.

I couldn't let Ragin' Cajun Cafe close its current chapter without one last visit for that authentic Louisiana soul food. This place has been such a staple in Redondo Beach and South Bay and while I'm sad to see the "Cafe" era end, I'm also excited for what's next - it's sure to be a hit! What I had to say goodbye one last time!? * Seafood Bisque: This was incredibly rich and velvety, as always. You can tell they don't ever skimp on the seafood--it was packed with flavor and the perfect way to start the meal. * Hush Puppies: Golden, crispy, and exactly what a hush puppy should be. They have that slightly sweet cornmeal interior that pairs so well with their savory dishes. Always worth adding! * Combo Jambalaya Plate: A massive portion and pure comfort. The spices were spot on--bold but not overwhelming--and every bite was loaded with meat and perfectly cooked rice. My goto comfort... The Next Chapter: For anyone worried about losing these flavors: don't panic! While Ragin' Cajun is closing, the owner and chef are reopening very soon in the same spot as Redondo Beach Grill. It's the same team and the same talent, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they evolve the menu while keeping that local heart alive. Their email to followers says they will keep a few menu items as well (doesn't say which ones!?) Thank you to the entire crew for years of amazing meals and hospitality. These flavors WILL be missed!! See you at the new, well, same spot (new name and decor!?)
