They have done a great job with the space here, it's nice and open air with a good vibe. Plenty of televisions, we were happy to keep an eye on the NFL games. The portions are large, so come hungry. Service was on point, thanks Samantha G. I was surprised to see the automatic gratuity, nobody told us that was the situation before being seated. Samantha did nothing to make me regret it, but I was surprised (just saying). They have a nice selection of draft beers, and a full bar at the front. I can see this being a great dinner spot, or a place to chill and watch some sports on the televisions. On this particular Sunday morning, it was a great place to eat! The ultimate Crepe was devoured (A+ grade) as was the Classic Breakfast Burrito (A+), the Chorizo Scramble (A+) and the Short Rib Benedict (A+). All the food was filling and delicious. I LOVE the Pan (despite the sometimes crazy wait times). Been to this location more than a handful of times. Service is great overall, and the food usually does not disappoint, but this is the second time their potatoes are pretty foul so I have to mention it - Completely unsalted, unseasoned, and even a little undercooked. I guess I'd just substitute hash browns next time, but it's a bummer bc I always prefer country/homestyle potatoes. read more

The Loaded Hash was tasty since they mixed in the sour cream, but it could be heavy after a while too. My Veggie Omelet was disappointingly flavorless (did they even add salt?) and the omelet egg part was way too thick. They should get a bigger omelet *pan* lol, and then make a larger and thinner omelet. As for the service, our waitress was nonstop checking in on us to the point of irritation. I appreciate a couple stops here and there from a waiter, but this was just pushy (stopping by every 5-10 minutes even though we would only nod and wave her away each time). They were also pretty pushy with getting us the check even though there were plenty of empty tables and we had only barely finished eating. Honestly worst customer service. I am new in the area and was sent to order breakfast for my co workers. First they don't answer the phones so I went in and ordered to go & was told to come back in a hour for my food. A egg sandwich and 2 breakfast burritos. 1 with no cheese onions or peppers and the other burrito no onions or peppers . A whole hour goes by and I go back to pick it up still had to wait another 20 mins and the order was still wrong. At this point I don't have time to go back my break is over and now 2 people are left without a meal. I've called over and over and over the past few days and no one picks up. Oh how happy I was to find out that The Pan was opening a location in this area of town, and nonetheless at the end of my street. The Pan is a well established breakfast/and other amazing food spot that's been around for a while in the Southbay. Their star is definitely breakfast but their pizzas and smaller food options are de-licious! Came in opening day not crowded at all, but someone who's lived on this street for a couple of years now knows this location is a tricky one, if you dont know its there you're probably gonna drive by it while making the mad dash down PCH. I'm sure after a couple weeks its bound to start getting busy. This location has a full bar with many many different types of drink options. Ernesto was my server, a very fine one at that, checking on me every few minutes and making sure everything was good and if I needed anything. I went straight for my old option I used to get at the Gardena location: The Loaded Hashbrowns with a side of a Pineapple Upside Down Pancake. Both were just as I remembered them at the other location - phenomenal. Other recommendations I have for breakfast are the Chili Verde breakfast burrito, their green chili here is out of this world and the Pan french toast is sooo good. Whoever was working the bar around midday opening day did an amazing job making my Michelada. I'm a snob when it comes to a michi but she made it just perfect with the right amount of ingredients and just enough kick of spice to make it spicy but enjoyable. Overall this is the place to come for breakfast or even a happy hour or munchie meal in the afternoon. They constantly crank out consistently good food and theyve always kept an amazing atmosphere and well attentive staff. Cant wait to try the Chilaquiles next! Advice To The Owners: Put more signs up on PCH infront of the store. More street banners and something advertising your beer/alcohol selection and happy hour. I've seen 2 other restaurants come and go at this location and one of the big reasons is because they never advertised much. It's no wonder why this place is packed in the mornings because the food is delicious. My friend invited me over for brunch because they have specialty pancakes. I came in on a Sunday and the place was packed. There is a tiny parking lot which is shared with other stores. We ended up sitting in the bar area because the wait time for a table was too long. The place is clean and they play good ambient music. The bartender was friendly and greeted us when we sat down. She gave us water and placed our orders. There are many tempting foods to try but I really wanted to try the pancakes. I ordered the strawberry and tiramisu pancakes. The convenient thing is you can order them a la carte so you can try them all. The strawberry pancake came with strawberries, whipped cream, and strawberry syrup. The tiramisu had chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and was dipped in a coffee flavor. The pancakes were warm and fluffy. They weren't too sweet or bland. Pretty large dish, good enough to be shared between 2 people I think. This was good but not enough to be blown away by. Overall, the food was good. Love the online waitlist through Yelp! Made the wait very manageable! Small parking lot is located in the back and it was full so we parked a short walk away in the lot across the street. All of the food we ordered was very delicious (but also greasy, but that's why it tasted good), and averagely priced. If anything, it was on the higher end of average but still reasonable. I've visited this place when it was the barbecue place, and I had a terrible experience there. But I know the pain and has several locations in the south bay area so wanted to give a try. We went on a Sunday afternoon around 12 o'clock and discovered that they had the join the waitlist, so we decided to join the list and do some shopping in the area. Our wait time is about an hour on the waitlist, and then when we checked in we waited about another 15 minutes. There were tons of people waiting outside when we first arrived. First off I want to talk about parking. I would definitely say it's not the easiest here. They do have parking in the back, but it is limited. There is some street parking and then there is the plaza across the street. This location also has a Boba place in a dental place in the plaza so a bit crowded. Customer service was exceptional here. We had the opportunity of dining with Claire as our server and she was very sweet. I love when servers can give you recommendations and she was pretty attentive to us. We ordered the loaded hashbrowns and a Alfredo shrimp pizza. They both were really good, but the loaded hashbrowns do you come out a little bit cold. But they fix that right away, so no complaints. Ambience a little noise but typical for a diner like this. Drinks looked good on the menu although I didn't have one. Loved and will be back! read more

We love this place! Gardena location was our go to, but so glad they decided to open one near our home! My husband loves the pastrami and egg sandwich and I like to explore the menu. This was my first experience with The Pan. The restaurant was in the list of choices of the "nearby me" section of Uber eats. I ordered the mozzarella sticks appetizer, BBQ chicken Pizza as well as the Pollo Alfredo pizza. I informed the restaurant (via delivery app as well as by phone) of a severe onion allergy had by a family member. Daisy and Jessica were working and did an AMAZING job with my order. It was evident they cared and took pride in preparing my order. Both pizza boxes were sealed and had handwritten notes indicating which pizza contained onions. Placed an order online and it said it would be ready at 10:30. I didn't get my order until 11:30. Waiting over an hour after the original time is ridiculous. What is even worse is the staff wouldn't give a realistic time frame of when the order would be ready, they kept saying "it's coming right up. We're waiting for one more box". Then they forgot two items in the order and didn't include any sauces and three people came in after me and picked up their orders. Definitely will never come back here. When well known establishments expand, the first concern I have is consistency. Well let me tell you this quality of food and service at this new location is just as good as the original in Gardena. Normally I go for breakfast, but I decided to try dinner. I was not disappointed. My son and I ordered the Pastrami fries and a small deep dish pepperoni pizza. The fries were crispy and the pastrami was moist and the aioli and cheese were absolutely amazing. Each bite had every ingredient. And the pizza was very good as well. The crust was good but not great as those found at Chicago establishments. It was cheesy, perfect sauce ratio and plenty of pepperoni. If you enjoy great food and service, check them out. read more

Whether or not they're not paying well or retaining staff shouldn't be equated about a review about the heart of the discussion, the food itself. 2 egg breakfast with hash browns and a kielbasa sausage along with a coffee is hard to mess up, but my folks loved their omelette and chilaquiles. It was my dad's 81st birthday too. The portions are good, lots of flavor, cooked the way your grandma would've. This is a country kitchen that will make you leave full. I noticed a lot of takeaway containers from other patrons. The poor waitstaff are doing their very best to do a job when they're overwhelmed. I've read other reviews here saying the service is terrible. Maybe I'm just more tolerant but if you feel so, go somewhere else. However, once we got inside and we ordered within about 15 minutes our food was there. Made correctly (as we had a lot of substitutions) and plentiful. I ordered the Mediterranean omelette with egg whites and chicken as well as the blueberry pancake and LEMME tell you, BOMB.com. The potatoes that came with it were seasoned perfectly. The servings was so big even you could split an appetizer and meal between two people easily and both parties would be stuffed. Quite frankly this place was AMAZING the food was incredible with great serving sizes (BIG serving sizes...and I can eat). First just want to say the food is absolutely delicious. However, this low rating is due to the Pan's timing logistics with takeout. Ordered my food around 9:20am and the yelp app reported the food would be ready at 9:50am. I arrived at 10:50pm and the hostess informed me they just started my order and it would be ready I'm about 15 more minutes. A number of hosts/servers were polite to check in on me, but didn't really get an update. As it approached 10:25am, I directly asked if my order was ready and soon enough..my order was just sitting there waiting. I'm not sure if the staff is on top of it or if their system of receiving orders need to be refined... But this location needs to review and identify their process of organization for takeout orders and reservations. read more

Imagine...you're finally out after a year...you're vaccinated...you're ready....you're craving their chicken and waffles...... AND you wait 1 hr for food...and IT'S COLD!!! DISAPPOINTMENT DOESN'T EVEN DESCRIBE IT. To top it off there was a guy picking up for doordash/Uber eats or something that kept hounding the staff (that clearly were already over their heads) that ruined our experience even further.
