They sell a lot of nick nacks in the place. They have a little dining area and tables through out the place. It is crowded with all the stuff going in there. Food Drink - They lost their CO2 for the kegs so bottle beer today. Lagunitas IPA, a solid IPA. Lunch - Brisket is my jam, the menu is limited. So I had the sliced brisket sandwich. I paid and extra $1.50 for the "moist" side of the brisket. It was worth every penny. My heart my disagree. The brisket was moist and tender with a nice hint of smoke. The bark was the best part. Service - Wait in line for the cashier. Pay for your food and get a table number. They find you. What is cool is they tell you how long it will be, and they put it on the receipt too. A gas station that has a little bit of everything. The service is friendly and the building is themed nicely. I tried the full brisket stack, about 1/3 of the pulled pork sandwich, and a little bit of everything from the 3 meat platter. The meat platter has sausages, moist brisket, and pulled pork with sides of sweet potato fries and coleslaw. The sides are pretty good but the fries are a bit too salty for my liking. The amount they give is also good as well. They forgot the pulled pork for the meat platter and had to be asked to bring it out. The pulled pork was very good and moist. It definitely needs the BBQ sauces for the flavor, but it's still very good. However, the pulled pork on the sandwich was extremely dry. The difference between the two was night and day, and I'm not sure why. The sausages taste was good but I wasn't a huge fan of the hard outer casing. The full brisket stack tastes good, but the brisket is way too salty. The amount they give for the full stack is also not very good value wise. I'd rather get the 3 meat platter over the stack just because I wouldn't be full from the brisket stack. Overall, not a huge fan of how salty some stuff are and the value I'm getting. I've been here twice now and always delicious bbq. I took my friend for lunch. My turn to treat. He had the brisket sandwich and he said it was the best he ever had. Unique gas station and bbq place you definitely must try. I had been here before in 2008 and finally was able to come back this past Sunday with my partner and his parents. Its a fun place- and has a cute gift shop to wander through. The young man who took our order at the counter and the other one who brought us our food were awesome. Top notch customer service from start to finish- super friendly and efficient. I hope the owner is cognizant of the professional and positive representation of his business from these two employees. We are finding this type of service is not as frequent at other places we've been to recently so I wanted to point out how happy we all were with their level of service. The food was fantastic. We grabbed a couple of beers and sat on the patio enjoying the evening and had a short wait for our food to arrive. Parents shared the 3 Little Pigs- 3 slider type sandwiches of pulled pork and brisket along with a side of bbq beans. They loved every bit of their meal. My partner and I shared a 3 meat platter of moist brisket, pulled pork and andouille sausage along with a side of sweet potato fries and mayo coleslaw. Everything was delicious and plenty to share between the two of us. We all agreed it was a wonderful experience- food and service combined. I really love the ambience of this location. Although it's in a gas station it's super cool and niche. Service was great from everyone. Wasn't super impressed with the food. I got the Oklahoma burger and while it was good, it wasn't outstanding. Too much cheese. Mac and cheese was not my style, but still good. Fries and onion rings were a touch too salty. I originally went there for ribs but they sold out at 2 pm and they don't start selling until noon, so get there early! Upscale gift shop with a gas station and casual BBQ eatery attached. Very nice inside, it's what you would expect for North Scottsdale. It's pretty and well displayed. Clean restrooms too. Line moved very, VERY slow for ordering. It felt like it wasn't moving at all for like 5 or 10 minutes. There are places to sit near the entrance and towards the back near the restrooms. Employees were cordial. My take away order was ready very quickly. The sides were a generous size, the toast was ok, it was not thick Texas toast, just standard bread thickness. The sauce and meat have a spicy kick to it. I question the meat portion. I ordered the TWO meat plate (just chicken only) and it looked like one portion, so I came here on YELP to view other patrons photos to compare...all of the TWO meat photos have a generous serving of two meats, my order didn't look like that. :( The cashier seemed confused (and maybe NEW?) when I ordered the same meat for both selections. I should had inquired about how many ounces of meat is each portion. PLUS, when I got home to review my receipt, I was charged an EXTRA dollar just for having chicken & chicken as my TWO meat selections. Ugh! Instead of $18.99 for TWO meat plate. Drive into a gas station. Attendant comes to car, are you here for gas? Car wash? BBQ? YES I say! What a great idea! Out of the car into the shop I go. Yes shop. Walked into a restaurant that is packed! Got in line. 5 minutes later ((not bad) I'm at counter, ordered the Cuban sandwich. The person said they were running slower than normal, 10-15 minutes. No problem and thank you for letting me know! So I walked around looking at the shop of trinkets (I think they wanted me to do that) and my name is called. Food is ready! Sat down plenty of room to eat. I devoured that delicious sandwich. In no time I was done realizing what had happened I record time. Who does the hiring there? Literally everyone who works here is amazing!!!!!!!! As a business owner I watch and listen while at other businesses and it is almost like they treat me like a secret shopper while knowing my identity. I pull in and leave my car with John who is the nicest young man. I walk in to pay for my car wash and I am always greeted by smiling people and you can tell it is not fake. I order food and again deal with amazing young people. I go to pick up my truck when done and Brook greats me and asks me to walk around my truck to make sure it is done right. I don't even need to as it always is. All of the young men doing the grunt work with the cars are always polite also. It's kind of like a movie set where one would believe it is all fake .........but it is not. It is a real life business where the employees truly care. How the heck do you do this? Last time I had a short interaction with a young lady (did not get her name) but she was slender build and ALWAYS smiling. I asked her how she always stays so positive. She said she tries all day long to make people smile and in doing so she smiles. I just wanted to hug her! I did not of course. We hit this spot midafternoon, which was the perfect time - no lines or crowds. The staff was hard at work cleaning tables while we ate, so there's a lovely, clean environment. Glad I went to the chicken next, because while there was a lot of meat, it wasn't very flavorful. The salsa and guacamole crema saved it though. Finally, the carnitas taco. Perfect! As you walk in they are playing christmas music. It's a crowded place. While waiting in line they tell you that they are backed with 25-30min wait. Looking at the menu. Especially the Full Stack, $21.99 we thought the meal would be big. Also ordered 3 little pigs (and I want to stress the Little). An hour later the food was ready. The staff is super welcoming and will be able to make any recommendations. I got the 3 little piggies and the Mac n cheese. You can either get the three little piggies with all brisket or you can have it as is which is pulled chicken, pulled pork, and brisket. I got the three different protein options and I'm glad I did. First time here! Was looking at there menu what I thought was there Web site was prepared to order then noticed that there menu was not at all what I had seen. Did ask clerk and she explained that there are third party menus and not there's . I saw what was on there chalk board menu and noticed that prices were quite high but understood that they needed to raise prices with rising costs I ordered the pull bbq chicken and it was fabulous !! It comes with a bag of chips don't forget to pick it out I did not get my chips later realized you have to grab from chip rack on counter. The sauce was awesome .
