I've been here a few other times when I worked in Anaheim. I'm working in Anaheim again so decided to order a volcano chicken bowl with rice/veggies. I was good with paying $1 extra for veggies. A nice locally owned business! The bowls are pretty decently sized for the low price of $7. Been coming here for 5 years and this place is always busy no matter what timeor day. If you're ever in the mood for any type of "bowl" food, this is the place to be. They're, by far, the best "teriyaki bowl" place that I've ever been to. I have tried every single thing on their menu and every single thing is amazing! My boyfriend and I live near LA now but every now and then we will still drive here for to-go. The volcano shrimp plate is my favorite and they're not skimpy with the portion of their shrimp. I also love to get a side of their coconut shrimps (their shrimp is jump so plump). Boyfriend is a huge fan of the steak and chicken, chicken is NOT dry, always tender (honestly their chicken breast is also very juicy) and the steak is so flavorful. The food was so comforting. Orange chicken was insanely crispy, hot (temperature wise), and comes with pineapple. Volcano chicken I think could be more spicy but it was still mouthwatering. The flavors remind me of typical chinese food that we always crave. The cole slaw and egg roll was a good contrast to the dish. And btw If you can't handle crunchy heavy breading, don't get those dish but for me thats my favorite part. Customer service is amazing. Tikiyaki is my step son's favorite Togo place! He always offered me some bits, and I decided to get only one bite but this time I got my own plate!! Their teriyaki plate comes with shredding cabbage, but I ask broccoli for substitution. They will give you extra teriyaki sauce and spicy sauce on a side. That's definitely you would like to have. Fresh baked teriyaki is the best way to eat!! Left over is not that attractive, I have to admit... So make sure to be very hungry and enjoy VERY good teriyaki chicken!! Ordered over the phone chicken and steak plate and tropical orange chicken plate, only waited 10 minute for order. Chicken and steak plate: perfect portion size to feed 2 people comfortably. Wish the salad wasn't just a handful of cabbage slaw, but I do like that the plate came with a crispy veggie egg roll. If only veggies didnt cost extra. The chicken wasn't dry and the steak was moist. The habenro teriyaki sauce (requested on the side for extra sauce as meat has regular teriyaki sauce on it already) pushes the dish into 5 star territory. Tropical orange chicken: honestly this dish was pretty meh to me. I prefer panda express version better as it's crisper and you feel like you are getting more meat. Here, the overall taste is the same, just less sweet compared to panda, more batter than chicken, and less meat overall as they include pineapple. read more

They were both delicious the meats were seasoned really well and the teriyaki sauce they have was a great addition to the flavor. This place was really busy on a Wednesday night, but for good reason! I was recommended this restaurant by my friend and we decided to eat here since we were meeting up in the evening time. I got there a bit early and while I was waiting for him, I noticed how popular this place was. There were many people leaving with to-go orders, walking in to order and people already eating outside! My first thought after seeing this was "wow this must be a really good food spot for local OC people!". Naturally this only increased my excitement. Once my friend arrived, I ordered a chicken plate with rice substituted for salad. The wait took about 15 minutes, but to be fair there were quite a bit of orders before us. The restaurant is on the smaller side with maybe 5 tables to sit out inside. In fact, the restroom is shared between customers and employees and is accessed in the back. Finally, my food arrived and it looked delicious! They provide extra teriyaki sauce on the side along with Sriracha. I graciously used both to give my plate a little bit more flavor. One bite in and I just fell in love, this is how all Waba Grills and Flame Broilers should be! The chicken was cooked to perfection and the rice was moist. The best part about all this was the price, this plate only costed $7. The portion sizes are also on the bigger side as I had to bring some back home for leftovers.
