I've been coming to Tito's for years. Absolutely love this hole in the wall on Retro Row. They expanded their menu recently. I usually get the torta de asada (best in town), but I recently tried their breakfast burrito after the hype I saw on Instagram. It definitely lived up to it. Comes with beans, scrambled eggs, salsa, onions, cilantro, and your choice of protein. I got mine with chorizo and it was absolutely delicious. I called ahead, but service is usually very fast. I treat this place like a grab-and-go since parking is so difficult here. They now have additional seating, so I may have to come back to sit down next time. They also have a chilaquiles breakfast burrito, which looks delicious, but I kept it simple this time around. It's cash only, so make sure to head to the ATM before arriving. read more

Titos bakery has been around for a long time. I first came here in 2004 and it was so good I kept coming back. They closed for a few months and now reopened. The staple food I always get is the Carne asada burrito . Its always been good and for my taste, the best in the area. Its filled with meat, rice, beans, cilantro, and diced onions. Upon pick up, they will ask you if you would like red and/or green sause which comes in small solo cups. This time I also needed to try out the shrimp burrito after it was highly suggested. It has shrimp, red and green bell peppers, onions, rice, and beans. This was a surprise to how good it was. Truth be told, I didn't have that high of expectations for it. Their beans were good and authentic. But did it belong on this breakfast burrito? Probably not. They got good beans and they should use these beans for a different breakfast/lunch dish but I don't think they go with the breakfast burrito. To me it just felt like I was eating a bean burrito with egg. Another thing is no cheese?!?! I love Tito's! I just don't know what else to say about them. Every time I go over there the service is delivered with a huge smile. The food is just delicious. It makes me feel like my grandma's cooking. They make a homemade chicken soup with vegetables that will just knock your socks off. And now they've added a juice with tamarind. Love it! make sure you find parking because with the road construction going on right now it could be a little challenging parking right out front but that was always the case. Not often to I say WOW! and WHOA! when I purchase a breakfast that surpasses all of my expectations. The restaurant is unassuming and I almost passed by without a second glance. I may take it go next time as there really isn't any comfortable seating to enjoy the amazing food. On a whim I had stopped to check out their wares and wasn't disappointed. Long Beach, you have it wrong. This place has terrible burritos. I ordered a bacon and ham burrito with no beans also asked the bacon to be crispy . What I got was a burrito filled with refried beans and it was the mushy. The ham is essentially lunch meat. Bacon was non existent. My friend pointed out that these little microscopic pieces was the bacon...it basically tasted and looked like pancetta chopped up. I decide to just eat the burrito, the salsa made it tolerable. Quarter of the way in there's a hair in my burrito and we're done...stop eating and just threw it away. So gross. Not sure why yall think this place has the best burritos. I guess if you want a massive burrito for $10 this is the place, but it's not good! And now it makes sense why it's so cheap. I moved to LB last year and have since been disappointed by the Mexican food in the area. Perhaps me being Mexican Im being too picky. So, when I found out that Tito's reopened, I wanted to give them a shot. My friend who used to live in the neighborhood swore by Tito's and told me to try them if they reopened. My boyfriend and I live three blocks away from Tito's and decided to give them a chance this morning. We stopped by early this morning to grab some breakfast burritos for us and a family member. We got the chorizo and egg burrito and 2 of the bacon and egg burritos along with horchata and jamaica. I asked for the chorizo and egg burrito since that's usually my go-to for breakfast burritos. Holy crap it was awesome! The burrito was loaded and it had really good flavor. It was even better when I poured the red salsa before each bite. I also had the jamaica and was so happy with it. I asked my boyfriend if he liked his burrito and he said he was so satisfied he ate the whole thing very quickly.
