Entire restaurant wasn't what I expected. The food was just OK. Beans were bland street corn was blah. Tacos shrimp, chicken & turkey tacos were very average. Food took long to come out. They were out of margaritas and Pinot Grigio, it was then that I should have walked away. Blah. 3 stars for location. read more

I came here last night by random chance with my family. A cashier was new but friendly and they grabbed a manager to answer my questions on soy and gluten which was really appreciated because I have severe allergies. I ordered their Taco Salad but alot of their menu is free of soy and gluten. They also offered Churro Waffle bites when our order was taking a little longer than usual. 4/5 for their food and 5/5 for the service read more

Went to the grand opening today after the anticipation of the new tocaya and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious. Guacamole was really great the pomegranates are a nice addition. The taco salad was exceptional with the chorizo. Very excited to have this in the valley!! read more

Went there yesterday, the food came out late and cold. The staff barely wore their masks, why bother? Especially when what seemed to be the manager was strutting around with his mask well below his nose and sometimes off altogether. Not a good feeling when cases are so high right now. Vegan foods, delish and Organic. 4 stars only due to limited menu options and slightly pricey but for that great location, you have to be with the cost of living at Studio City. I would give zero stars if I could. The food is terrible. In all my years I have never had to leave a restaurant with stomach pain and hungry. I only had two bites of their taco bowl. The food has no salt, but is drenched in cumin, so much so that it burned my throat and irritated my stomach lining. There is no other flavor or spice in their foods. It's all CUMIN!!!! read more

First time I went the food was really good. The second time we went the food was just ok. BOTH times we had passion fruit margaritas and BOTH times they just tasted like fruit juice. Delicious fruit juice but we wanted our liquor. The second time we mentioned it to the bartender because they forgot to put alcohol in - I'm sure of it. She said it's in there and sent me away (come on I paid $8 or whatever). Unhappy, we decided to just buy shots of tequila and add them in ourselves. We were told no, they won't/can't sell us a shot. Huh? Another server overheard and said she would mix us new ones (thank you!!!) but we think she got in trouble for it. We saw her get talked to. I hope she quits that place and goes somewhere else and makes a lot of money because she was the only person working there who cares about the customer. She was awesome. We felt badly she got in trouble. Management must be awful there to their staff - you can tell. If you're looking for a place to kick back with a margarita don't go here. The bartenders are probably inexperienced servers. If you want a delicious virgin drink - this is the place. read more

They messed up my pick up order again! I've heard the service at this location is bad and orders take forever, but I like their food and ordered a ick up this evening. I heard about tocaya but hadn't tried them yet until 2 days ago. I ordered the mushroom quesadilla with vegan cheese and avocado, chips and vegan cheese, and a taco via a delivery app. Everything tastes great! So great that I ordered it again. I can't wait to try other items on the menu. My quesadilla was huge and I was full eating half, they have a lot of cheese for my chips and I have leftovers I'm actually about to eat right now lol. Also the packaging is brilliant and so cute. Definitely modern and classy with a touch of nature. Seems biodegradable which I LOVE. I could definitely taste the difference and wasn't bloated of anything after eating. I actually felt great! I believe them when they say they're organic. I Can't wait to visit! read more

Today my family and I had one of the most beautiful experiences here at Tocaya, we ordered a couple of tacos combos with the margaritas and they were delicious! So happy to see another Tocaya, and in such a beautiful new location! Upon entry I experienced a warmth and familiarity from the staff nonpareil with that of any other restaurants these days. An uplifting and relaxed environment replete with catchy, but not overbearingly loud tunes makes for convivial and festive vibes where one can eat and have a conversation and still be heard. Staff seems cordial, amicable, and approachable with any issues you could possibly have. The food is downright delectable, and vegan/gluten free options ensure equal opportunity to even the most discerning eaters- or those with dietary restrictions. My favorites were the Burrito Mexicano with Diablo chicken (I'm a sucker for spice-singed tastebuds), and the Barrio Taco with beef chorizo. My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. We finally went and Jeremy went above & beyond to make our first time there very special. Michael was patient with us on register as we asked many questions and took a little more time to decide. My boyfriend has many food allergies (wheat, corn, sesame, soy) and he tried their gluten free quesadilla made of sorghum flour and it was AMAZING! He hasn't been able to enjoy a quesadilla in almost a decade as they are usually made with wheat flour. The food is so FRESH, so healthy! Best guacamole I've ever had. The bowls are very filling and absolutely delicious! I will never step foot into a Chipotle again bc of this place! Also, the chairs are very comfortable and the restaurant is gorgeous! Thank you Jeremy for being so kind to us! We've already been back with a family member and we will continue to bring more of our friends/family here. read more

my daughter had suggested we eat here she has only been to the one in Burbank which she had mentioned was excellent , i had ordered the 2 taco combo which comes with a side of choice and either a beer , wine or margarita , I chose a spicy margarita , they brought out chips And salsa for my side and when they brought the food all I got the as one taco , so I had told a worker that I was waiting for another taco and a margarita , ,,, and several minutes passed I'm done with my taco and still nothing so I mentioned it again to a worker they had no idea what was going on , 10 minutes later he comes back and says he had printed our ticket and all I was charged for was a single taco combo , ,at this point my daughter got a to go box for her bowl , which was good but our whole dining experience was ruined , I worked in hospitality all my life and the customer is always right , I wasn't looking for anything free I just wanted what I ordered and the worker offered no solution , bottom line is the staff honestly has no idea what they are doing :( I Suggest the staff get more training cause people do not usually give second chances after bad dining experiences ! read more
