If you want spicey Asian food , look no further !!! This place is SPICEY !!! It didn't disappoint, you can either pick a pre made menu entree or you can build your own meal. I ordered a BBQ BANH MI. This bowl was on fire !!! I mean it was delicious . Ordered a potsticker for an appetizer, they were good, just not my flavor. Great customer service from the employees, we sat outside on a beautiful afternoon and they brought our meal out to us. Would definitely come here again and highly recommend eating here. I would give this place a 4.7 for all around experience. Kudos.

Always super fresh and delicious food, large portions at a moderate price. Sushi is much better than I expected and I always order the 8 piece CA roll so I can have that for dinner later. Great drink selection as well. Service is impeccable, the very nice staff check on you, fake your plates, and provide extra sauce without making you feel like you're stealing. When it's hot outside, the AC in this place hits the spot, very clean dining area, tables always wiped down. Big bonus restrooms are monitored and cleaned regularly. Not a single negative thing to say, highly recommend!

My kids live this place and so do I. Always fresh. I love the potstickers. We love this place!! It's got amazing food amazing service and amazing atmosphere. Try everything because you will not be disappointed by anything. I love the attention you get from everyone plus the perfect flavors in every bite. You have to try it I highly recommend it!!!!

Veggie bowl with curry sauce, side of chicken. Chicken portions a little tiny. Loved it. But-Some veggies ordered were missing.

I wanted to update my original review after giving this place another try. I ordered online, I didn't see one of the veggies- zucchini-in the bowl. My order was ready as promised, thank you for that. The yellow curry sauce is amazing but is actually moderately spicy, even though it's supposed to be mild. My nose was running by the end of my lunch. I prefer it to their teriyaki. I chose the veggie bowl with brown rice as the base, added the egg, broccoli, pineapple, snap peas, cabbage, carrots, red peppers, zucchini. I also added sweet potato and it was the only veggie I didn't like. The sweet potato didn't have that hearty sweet, sweet potato taste and was almost the consistency of a acorn squash. I wouldn't recommend it as a base. I liked everything about this visit way more than my last.

I was excited about this concept and had been wanting to try Tokyo Joe's. I give it a 6/10. Great menu and great variety. I had a create your own bowl and choose White meat Chicken and rice base with teriyaki sauce. I expected the rice to be the Japanese type that is rounder and often called sticky rice and this was not that. The food was fresh and flavorful but I didn't like the quality of the chicken it was more dampish if that makes any sense but oftentimes tempura chicken is dampish so maybe this is the Asian style of cooking chicken. I also got a spring roll. The restaurant is clean and nice and food is fresh and the staff was very nice and the prices were good. Would I go back? Probably not. I prefer "Glaze Teriyaki" which is the same concept and only in New York City.

Teriyaki chicken bowl with very little chicken. And what was there, tasted like it was boiled chicken. Gross!!!

If you were looking for a great meal at a good price, keep looking.... Tried for the first time. Got a teriyaki chicken and a 4 pc Cali roll. The teriyaki sauce was SUUUPER sweet. And pretty much lacking of any teriyaki flavor. Hardly any chicken on the bowl. Good portion of rice. Wasn't what I expected an $8 bowl to be. The Cali roll was flavorless. Cucumber wasn't peeled. No chunk of avocado. Just some brown avocado smear. ZERO flavor. If I didn't drown it in soy and Wasabi, there would be nothing. All in all, I tried it... didn't like it. Won't be back.

I'm din with TJ. Last time I asked for no corn and there were some corn in my meal. Staff asked how many kernels. WTF? That should have been my last time. Ordered online today and saw kitchen staff scooping rice into dishes with gloves no utensils. When I asked why I was told 'it's easier'. I wouldn't have asked if I didn't see it with my own eyes. Did I still eat my meal with knowledge of this YES because I was hungry as hell. Don't judge. Then they forgot cookie with the Bento Box Meal. I said my grace though.

Because of work I'm stuck here in Arizona, I got online looked for a nail place and while I wait I decided to grab a bite to eat. No regrets coming here. I've never ate here before so I asked the cashier for some help. All of his suggestions were on point. The cookie was very impressive. It had a fresh just baked full of flavor. The vegetables were fresh not over cooked. The rice, sushi and Salmon were on point. If ever I'm in the area again I'll know where to go. There is plenty of parking . I bobtailed out here and found a spot for my truck. Yes I highly recommend this place you'll enjoy your meal. Thanks joes sushi and staff.

Friday night headed to a concert needed some quick bites! This place was fire!! Very friendly service, and cooks! They made sure we were satisfied. We ordered a poke bowl, spring rolls and California poke roll. It was Delicious, fresh and tasty!! They originally brought out a California roll, but as soon as i took it back to the counter they made it right and fast. The poke bowl was so fresh and so many options to create your own!! Definitely a gem we will be back to for fast sushi without have to do the entire restaurant experience.

This was our first time eating at Tokyo Joe's, and we were really impressed. There are not many places we can eat full meals as a family, as we adults are picky eaters and our son is autistic and has a limited diet. I had the ahi tuna poke bowl. It was delicious. I think my only quibble is that they added a lot of wonton strips on top--if you look at the picture, it actually looks alike a bowl of cereal! But everything tasted great and fresh. My husband had a bento box with beef, veggies, and gyoza, and was quite happy. It's hard to find good gyoza in Arizona, but they did it well here. And our son had the kid's meal macaroni and cheese. It looked like the Kraft stuff, which pleased him. He also had the chocolate cookie (well, most of it) and it was freshly-baked and very good. I had to have a sample for quality assurance, of course. The place was kept clean even though it was quite busy at 11am on a Sunday. As we prepared to leave, a gentleman came around to clean our table and checked to make sure we liked everything. I'm looking forward to coming here again!

I'll start with this place should be called Tokyo NO's . I wanted to just get something light and fresh so I thought eh teriyaki chicken bowl. I've never had this place always go with Waba( man what a mistake ) chicken super bland . The spicy teriyaki was just teriyaki sauce ? The yellow curry I'll give that to them was tasty! BUT, the chicken was so dry and the toppings you can add and veggie were minimal. The workers will all awesome and super friendly but doesn't save the food quality .

A true one‑star experience is foreign objects in the food, cold meals, or no service at all -- and that's not what I experienced. I ordered takeout, and when I got home the food was still hot. I had the shrimp egg foo young and BBQ pork fried rice. The egg foo young was excellent, and the portion size of the fried rice -- along with the amount of BBQ pork -- was generous. This is easily a solid four‑star experience, maybe higher depending on what you order. I've lived on the west side for years, and I still haven't found a better Chinese takeout spot in the area. One last note: I'm a veteran, and they gave me a military discount, which I appreciated.

I couldn't tell you the timeframe of when the current ownership took it over from the previous owner when I first started frequenting Eest. The change was immediately felt. The level of customer care and taste of food changed. Not for the worst, but different. My last visit this month for an order of shrimp fried rice was my final straw and I will find somewhere else to find some food. It has been a very slow spiral downward with the quality of food. I am talking years where the consistency was slipping. Then last month it was as if they forgot what they were doing. What was served to me was edible, but nowhere near what I have been given in the past. I hope it was a bad day for the kitchen for the establishment's sake! Call in takeout orders have been a speed bump. You call in and you're quoted a time of when your order will be ready. You pay for your order when you get there. Then the clock starts. It totally defeats the purpose of the original quoted timeframe.

Wonton soup was not wonton soup, but masses of vegetables in a liquid! 2. The fresh shrimp rolls, was again just full of chopped vegetables and one shrimp per roll! 3. The chicken satay, was so skinny, literally no meat! 4. The Pad Thai, was disgusting, again full of vegetables and just a ball of noodles thrown in. There was no proper Thai cuisine preperation here! 5. The Pa-Nang curry, again had its fair share of vegetables. and the skinniest pieces of chicken I have ever seen. To top it off we paid $92.58 for what should have been a delightful meal, the bulk of which ended up in the trash can, disgusting! I am sure that there are far better Thai restaurants in the west valley. This one you need to avoid at all costs, PS. I have lived in Thailand and this cuisine wasn't even close. Respectfully. G

The restaurant wasn't that busy for the lunch rush, and the waitress was very attentive and helpful. The only downsides I experienced was that there was no hot water running in the bathroom that I could tell, and no paper towels were available to dry my hands or open the bathroom door with. I also had a small fly hovering around me while I ate (I was inside). Thinking about this experience a little deeper however (after the bill) changed things for me a bit. Was the food okay? Yes, I think... Was it noteworthy? Not really. The stacks of premade rolls sitting on the counter made me think twice about ever eating here again. I paid around $45 for lunch after tax and tip. I ordered 6 pieces of nigiri, a tempura roll, a small bowl of miso soup, and an iced tea. I don't consider this anything crazy or over the top. Given this price point I expect hot water and paper towels in the bathrooms, especially if employees who are handling our food use those facilities. 1-star, won't be back... oh, and the soy sauce bottle was literally stuck to the counter. I had to pry it off.

You order at the counter when you walk in, and they bring food out when it's ready. There were 5 of us so we decided to get the family meal deal plus some extras. Items ordered from the meal deal were - Teriyaki Chicken, Orange Chicken, Shrimp Broccoli (up charge), Macaroni Salad, & Vegetable Lo Mein (up charge). Other items we got were - Crab Rangoons, Spring Rolls, Spam Fried Rice, and Katsu Chicken. For drinks, we had ordered the Blueberry Smoothie and a couple of Thai Teas. Needless to say, we had a ton of food! The items we enjoyed most were the Teriyaki Chicken which came atop a bed of cabbage and broccoli, Fried Rice (although, I'd probably get it with a different protein, spam wasn't my personal choice but it was good), the Shrimp Broccoli, as well as the Spring Rolls & Crab Rangoons. The two dishes that had vegetables were my favorites since the chicken & shrimp were cooked well and the vegetables were done well, crunchy and satisfying. The appetizers were fried nicely, crispy. The smoothie and Thai Tea were good. The Orange Chicken wasn't bad but had more breading than I prefer and also the sauce all pooled to the bottom, it just needed to have been tossed a little more. Macaroni Salad was as expected but nothing special, same with the Chicken Katsu but the sauce was pretty good. The Vegetable Lo Mein is probably the only dish I'd say to skip altogether; overall, bland compared to the other items. If you're in the area, check them out. They were very friendly and efficient in getting everything out to us quickly!
