I came here today because of the reviews. The conchas, in my opinion, were a bit dry and dense. Not what I'm used to when it comes to conchas. The batch could have been off, but for $3 each I'll pass on them. The tiramisu was dry. Not sure why. It could be a different way of making tiramisu? Or perhaps the ingredients. Okay so my vegan bestie was in town and I mentioned that I always see a vegan bakery sign across from my regular starbucks, so we decided to check it out. She got the strawberry cupcake, chocolate cake, a brownie, and a box of cookies. The cupcakes were AMAZING!! She said the chocolate cake was to die for! The lady at the counter was super nice and helpful with choosing items. The inside is small with no seating, which is not atypical of a bakery. This place is a hidden gem! The entire bakery is vegan and there are so many gluten-free options. The woman who works there is always very sweet, the prices are quite affordable for the quality, and I never regret stopping here. I've tried the très leches cake, tiramisu, conchas, cookies, empanadas, etc... There's so many options that I believe there's something for everyone. Even though it says "VEGAN BAKERY" everywhere, I had to triple check that everything was actually vegan because of the huge variety of delicious looking (traditionally non vegan) treats!! Very cute little bakery, I think there were one or 2 tables to sit at and fridges with drinks and a few other snacks. Staff member was super patient and helpful while I tried to decide what I wanted. I wound up landing on the guava cheese danish. I wish I could offer a picture but I dug into this thing so fast and it was SO. GOOD. Wow wow wow! I'm truly impressed by this family-owned, all vegan bakery in the Toluca Lake area of North Hollywood. They have a large variety of treats and also a section dedicated to gluten-free as well. They're located in a small shopping center with decent parking (but tight because it's shared with multiple other stores and restaurants). Let me tell you, the delightful smell that greets you when you first enter is enough to make you want to text your personal trainer and let them know you've failed for the day (hmmm, maybe that's just my personal problem haha). Not only are you greeted with a yummy aroma but also so many yummy options from empanadas to fruit tarts, conchas and cookies! Let the photos do the talking! We grabbed a variety of things and everything was DELICIOUS!!!! Someone mentioned the prices were a bit pricey but compared to some of the more well-known vegan bakeries in LA, this was much more affordable! I will come back here...maybe. And I'll explain my three stars. I'm vegan and I get all this hip hype and trend restaurants are on to overprice their items because they're vegan. However, it's mostly disappointing when they're below average. I was so excited to try their vegan conchas (sweet bread). And heart shaped?!! Like omg what else can a vegan girl dream of. I bought $40 worth of bread. No, it's not what you think. Each concha is $3.50 so it adds up quick. I grew up buying a concha for less than a dollar so this was pricey- for me. If the bread was fluffy, flavorful, and sweet, I wouldn't even dock them for their prices. The bread was bland. My 4 year old son said "mom this bread is not good." I actually surprised my son and bf and my boyfriend said "yeah babe, don't buy those again." If you don't know what a concha is supposed to taste like, you prob won't find a problem. I don't know. So why the 3 stars? The service was great. The lady helping me was sweet. I had a French roll with vegan cream cheese and jalapeño and those were decent but $6? Like damn! Eat your heart out Erin McKenna! This bakery has such a great selection, their baked goods are so delicious, and they are way underpriced. The value, taste, and service were all amazing, but the thing that really blew me out of the water was the fact that they offer a box of an assortment of their cookies. Like... who does that? That goes against all the restaurant/eatery rules! You don't offer an assortment so they have to come back for more. And pay more. Make them commit, even if they don't like it. But no. This place cares about customer satisfaction, so they help you figure out what you actually like, against the usual profit ploys. I am astonished writing this, I was soooo excited to try this place as it's hard to find vegan bakeries. I ordered a Vegan Tiramisu (I've had vegan tiramisu before at other bakeries). I have not in 10 years ever said this on Yelp... it was quite possibly the worst cake I've ever had. Devastated. It tasted like chalk and crumbled. After the first bite I paused in shock. Not knowing what to do. It left a bitter expired chalk aftertaste in my mouth. I asked someone else to try it. They said "it can't be that bad," they took a bite and paused staring off into space and had to spit it out. Their cake was also not good. This bakery is the absolute best and it's completely vegan! We always come here and everyone in our family loves the various pastries that they offer. They carry a LOT of authentic Mexican pastries and other goodies that you're bound to enjoy. If you're looking for a classic Mexican pastry definitely try their conchas; they have the usual flavors of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Some other traditional pastries that they have are elotitos (corn shaped sweet bread), puerquitos/cochinitos, empanadas, pasteles, etc. They have a relatively large variety of cookies, going from Mexican wedding cookies, & polvorones, to galletas de grageas (short biscuit cookies topped with rainbow sprinkles.) The cakes that this bakery offers are all hits with everyone! They carry raspberry, chocolate, mocha, tiramisu, vanilla, cheesecake, and tres leches cakes so there's something for everyone. The owners are absolute sweethearts! Every single time we walk into the bakery they say hello from across the room or come over to ask us how we are doing. The customer service is always spot on and whenever we are curious about a new pastry, they'll explain what's inside it. Also, they have helped us decide on what to get if we are having a hard time choosing. The bakery is parked in a corner lot however the lot is fairly small. Family owned shop with the mom and son working when my friend and I went in. So much variety, and the price point is low for all you're getting. This is a bakery making old school, classic recipes. They veganized so many items that you can't find in most places. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious, concha's super tasty, Tres Leches was chef's kiss, turnover amazing, danish great, cupcakes yum, eclairs fantastic and empanadas scrumptious. This is a wonderful panadería--and a vegan one at that. After hearing about this place on Tiktok well over a year ago, I came in and pretty much bought out their pastry case, and to my dismay, got a stale bunch. After hearing a close friend describe a wonderful experience at the bakery, I decided to try it a second time around, and this time, was very impressed with their pan dulce selection and customer service. I came in early last week to buy a few conchas, empanadas de guayaba, and, after seeing the rows of packaged pastries lining the wall, a box each of guayaba cookies and chocolate biscotti. The bakery also sells custom cakes, tamales, savory empanadas, bolillos stuffed with vegan cheese and jalapeños, as well as a bunch of prepackaged gluten free pastries. Maybe I've had bad luck with the conchas, but they just haven't been very good the two times that I've come. The topping seems to crumble off if I so much as looked at it the wrong way, leaving behind plain bread, which, although flavorful, is made even more so with the sugar topping. Of the conchas I've had, I've enjoyed the chocolate one the most; the rest taste faintly of food coloring. I can't say that I'll get them again. The remainder of the pastries I bought, however, were very good. I bought a few of their empanadas de guayaba and one elote for the drive home. The elote, though rather small, was dense, moist, and cinnamony. The empanada filling is perfectly sweetened and neatly folded in a chewy, buttery dough. My sister and I devoured the three I ordered before the end of the day. Though a lot of the prepackaged pastries they had looked good, I only left with the guayaba cookies and biscotti. The former were excellent while the latter not so much. The biscotti were dense, and not exclusively made with almond flour, so they tasted like hard floury rocks. On the way out, I noticed they sold vegan brioche and challah, and decided to buy a loaf of the brioche. Everyone in my family, vegan or not, really enjoyed the brioche and ended up finishing the entire loaf within a few days. Until this place opens a new location in the west SFV, I will make the trek to NoHo for their pan dulce. read more

Five stars is an understatement. This is an all vegan authentic Mexican bakery with so much variety. There are several dozen different types of sweets and breads as well as savory tamales and savory empanadas. Our favorites were the different flavored conchas, all of the tamales (so good) and the guava empanadas. Honestly, I don't have a single bad thing to say about this place. Although it's vegan bake good, their ingredients are not the healthiest or cleanest, like using white sugar, which is the unhealthiest. So, just be aware they don't use clean nor healthy ingredients. But most of their bake good here are pretty good. The only one you never know what to expect are the conchas sometimes they're soft, moist, and delish like their Vday ones and sometimes they're dry and steal. No consistency. Also, their tres leches lacks flavor. But their empanadas, cookies, corn bread, pig bread, tarts, and pies are delish. They're very pricey tho. Additionally, the service is not always the best. The young Hispanic girl who is most of the time as the cashier has an attitude. You can tell she's either having a bad day or hates her job. The colorful concha was huge! I've had smaller vegan conchas elsewhere that were a little bit softer, but this one also tasted good. I really enjoyed the pan de muerto, which was soft and slightly sugary on top. The potato and the jalapeno cheese empanadas were great. The pastry was flaky and the fillings were delicious. I was recommended to come to this bakery by an employee from another bakery that did not have vegan options for their bakery items. This spot is hidden at the corner of a small plaza. I easily found parking on a Saturday late morning. It's a small place where you can just decide what you get and then take it home. They have gluten free options as well but I'm not sure if those are vegan. I got their chocolate cake, pear tart, mushroom empanada, and a box of their raspberry and apricot thumbprint biscuit cookies. There were more raspberries in this box than the apricot ones. Really delicious cookies. I thought their chocolate cake, mushroom empanada, and their pear tart were alright. They didn't have much of a taste, but the tart was nice and crispy.
