Had a great meal here. It was peak lunch when we got there so seats were super limited. We sat right by the door upstairs at a table that we had to eventually give up due to a reservation. A table outside eventually opened up that we were able to scoop up I got the fried chicken sandwich. My friends got the pot pie. We also shared a pretzel. We ended up focusing more on our drinks mainly because those schooners were enormous. I'd like to give a special shoutout to the whole staff working the Sunday we visited. There was a particular guest who was inebriated and ended up having a disagreement with another table. He spent some time at our table and I think the staff thought he was our friend so because he complained about the other table we ended up getting a couple items comped from our tab. Went to enjoy some casual drinks/eats while on vacation. Unfortunately when the bill was brought to us we were presented with an upcharge in pricing of both put our drinks and fries that we ordered. When asked about the upcharge on our entire bill we were told that since it's a holiday (cinco de mayo) they have the authority to change pricing of drinks. As Cinco de Mayo is not an American holiday it was very odd that this is part of their gig hiding in the 'fine print'. Unfortunate to say the least! You can expect to pay more when going to Tower 12 on any holiday in general. Brutal! Good service but awful management. Be aware when visiting this spot in hermosa beach. read more

They really need more than 1 person making drinks at the bar. We went for happy hour a couple of weeks ago. Sat at the gnat infested bar. I say that because the jars of fruit they use to add to the cocktails were loaded with gnats. It was shocking to see. The bus boy didn't clean the bar properly when we sat down. He just pushed the dirty plates to the side so we had to pretty much clean the area ourselves by getting paper towels from the bathroom. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the bartender was fast and pleasant enough under so much stress. I felt bad she wasn't being helped at a time when it was so busy. read more

My first time at Tower 12 for a recent social gathering with friends. Foodwise I got to try their chicken wings (regular along buffalo), fries the sea salt soft pretzel knots with house cheese fondue, the Banzai Pineapple Hawaiian pizza and the Magic Mushroom Pizza. I also got to try their Aloha Mr Hand drink that came in a cute pineapple glass. Foodwise I was pleasantly surprised. I honestly did not expect much for the sea salt soft pretzel knots but this turned out to be one of my favorite food items. The pretzels were soft and yummy and that house cheese fondue is a must try dip! It is so flavorful. I also really liked their chicken wings and their pizza. For the drinks; the Aloha Mr. Hand was good. It was slightly strong and not as fruity as I would have hoped. I will admit this drink had me with the cute pineapple glass it came with. Overall good little spot by the pier. The upstairs area was great place for parties. It actually gave me a home-like feel with the various couches and though the little game area with arcade like machines off to the side was cute. Good place with good food and good vibes. read more

We came in on a Sunday for lunch, the place was not busy. The decor is cool, but seemed a bit dusty & unkempt. We were looking forward to the food, however it wasn't as good as it looked. Tower is one of the most popping spots on the pier for a reason. The decorations, music, and vibe are upbeat, hip, and fun, and the food is hands down the best on the pier. This isn't just a place I like to go to eat because of the atmosphere, the food is actually consistently delicious. I've gotten pizzas, salads, breakfast items, etc and am always happy. Breaking down the pictured food items- Soft Pretzel: literally the best soft pretzel I've ever had in my life. It's flavorful, salty, and perfectly soft. The cheese sauce tastes like a decadent macaroni and cheese sauce, not just some nacho sauce squirted out of a can. Cannot recommend the taste more... but be willing to pay. $16 is definitely steep for a pretzel and cheese. French toast: delicious, filling, can't praise it enough. Only $12 which seems surprisingly fair for how much work it appears was put into this beautiful little creation! Brekkie pizza: truly the only time I was ever underwhelmed by a dish here. I didn't love the sauce and the toppings seemed to be lacking. The slices are incredibly thin so we easily ate it all, too. One major component that Tower 12 needs to improve on is the service. Last time I went, we had 4 people in our group. Only 3 water glasses were brought.....the entire time we ate. Every single time the waitress came back, we asked for another cup, and it literally never came. We ended up having to share a water cup. That wasn't a unique experience. There's seems to always be something missing in regards to the service. The staff is always friendly, and maybe it's just because they're always busy, but the attention to detail lacks majorly. Parking is completely hit or miss: sometimes you can find spots in the lots no problem, sometimes during nicer weather you're circling around Hermosa for way too long.
