3/29/2025 This will be my first time dining here in the AM. I've had in the past only dined in the evenings or special occasional events held here. The restaurant interior seems to be under construction/ renovation. Elated to see they updated their menu with some written descriptions and photos of the each food items. This really helps with deciding factors for some customers who might not be familiar with Cambodian food. Service provided by a young gentleman was great , He was friendly , attentive and apologetic . What a disappointment uuggghhh!!!!! Cha qua ( fry breads/ fry donuts) At first glance myself and my mom already knew the Cha qua was not cooked properly , it has some weight to it, ( should be light and fluffy) the dough was raw inside. I sent it back. The waiter was apologetic and a few minutes later came out with a new batch of Cha qua . I kid you not, I just chuckled and shook my head . I explained to the waiter, clearly the cha qua is not cooked properly, has a strong odor smell of yeast and the flour is not cooked through and as an experienced home cooks between my mom & myself the dough did not have time to rise and the flour ratio was not properly measured. The young waiter apologized once more and came back from the kitchen explaining what my mom and I had speculated . We asked that he not charge us for the cha qua. So , I didn't think this could get any worse right? LOL!! Cha mee khatang ( similar to chow fun / pad see ew ) I opted for seafood as protein of choice, with shrimps, imitation crabs & squids . The Chinese broccoli was cooked perfectly. Except this dish didn't have much flavor. I rate it 2/5 BBQ roasted duck $25 for a half order. I been anticipating to try their duck for a few years now. To my dismay it was awful , damn! I expected so much more and it didn't meet my expectations. The skin was not crispy, had a funky gamy scent & tasteless flavor and came out cold at that. Rate 2/5 Baw Baw Kreung ( Cambodian innards / pork blood rice porridge. ) Deep sighs ... another disappointment dish . The rice porridge lacks savory taste, it was a tad under salt , by adding the fermented soybeans helps uplift the flavor. I find it gross! the minuscule fragments innards pieces has a bowel odor taste in our mouths. 1/5 Boat Noodle soup , was okay but needed some improvement. The noodles were too overcooked , texture was mushy, the flavor didn't have the savory beefy aroma, appreciate the fresh ong choy vegetables Rate3/5 Beef Stew w/ bread , crunchy crispy hot bread always hit the spot, dunk in hot beefy stew warms the heart. Unfortunately this dish stop short of a perfect meal. Although the meat was tender , the broth lacks the familiarity aroma of spices and lemongrass scent associated with this dish.. Rate 3/5

Very funky party scene with traditional Cambodian food and music! This place was filled on a Saturday night and loud upbeat music filled the restaurant. Servers were kind and came out with the entrees quickly. It's definitely a unique party vibe inside with many customers dancing on the dance floor.

I was in the area and craving Lao Style Papaya Salad - Bok L'Hong. They make one of the best. Love the combo of the papaya, string beans, tomatoes. Fresh herbs, crisp, crunchy, salty umami flavor. Best to eat mix with the shredded cabbage and herbs to neutralize the saltiness. I wish they added more salty crabs. I also ordered the Beef Sticks Lunch Special served with rice and pickled carrots and papaya. It comes with a bowl of a tasty clear, beef brothThe beef is marinated, sweet and salty spices. I wished that the beef cut is bigger. The portion size definitely shrink. The wonderful and cheerful young man, Long , he was excellent and efficient throughout my visit. He is warm, welcoming and respectful. The restaurant is expansive, doubles as a banquet hall. They do have a lot of special private events at night with live bands or even karaoke.

Love coming here for noodles and their Famous Roasted Duck. With today's weather, cloudy, chili, and extraordinary. Had to stop by and get that famous delicious hot noodles. Just like any other day, their customers' service is superior. Great hospitality and welcoming greetings upon entering. Want to say thank you for the great experience coming here. You made it very comfortable and so welcoming coming here over and over again. Great music, atmosphere, and vibe are superb. Let's dive right into the good stuff, but if my ways of describing things don't please you. Take a look at some of the pictures I've attached to this review. My orders are, Drink: 1. Durian Smoothie Durian fruit are sweet, custardy taste, with the texture of creamy cheesecake. 2. Thai Iced Tea This brew is then sweetened with sugar and sweetened condensed milk and served over ice. Main: 1. PHNOM PENH NOODLE House special duck noodle. Garnished with bean sprouts, fried garlic, cilantro, and scallions. Popular with large egg noodles and soup on the side. 2. MONOROM NOODLE House special noodle soup prepared with shrimp and meatballs. Garnished with bean sprouts, fried garlic, cilantro, and scallions. The richness flavor broth brings out the best in noodles. The combined flavor of veggies and sauce mixes in the soup came to perfection. It's made to order, so you know you are getting a hot soup. It is very delicious and satisfying. The drink definitely cools it down, so freshing, I thought I was eating the fruit itself. Yummy in my tummy. I definitely recommend this location due to their outstanding customer service experience. Very clean and sanitized. Their parking lot is spacious and easy access. They have a restroom for your convenience. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience. P.s. Don't forget to smile cause you're beautiful. SYOY!

This place more spacious, clean and the food is still great. The food is less salty and greasy than hak haeng. I've brought their food home to people who've never had Cambodian food and they've enjoyed it. As someone very familiar with Cambodian food I appreciate the little things that add to the authenticity like the quality and variety of fresh mints, the small lotus roots, the banana blossoms, etc. highly recommend for any foodie.

I've never had Cambodian food before because the inland empire doesn't have any Cambodian restaurants. Since I was in the area waiting for my friend to get off, I had to snag the chance to finally try which is why I ordered a feast for myself. I've always wanted to try prahok ktiss and I wasn't sure how to eat it, so I asked the waitress. She was super helpful and let me know which condiments taste best with my chosen food and recommended eating the prahok ktiss with rice (and she was right tasted so good with it). The khmer noodle had plenty of veggies which I loved. I wish this place was closer so I could try the whole menu.

Good service, but the food was not as good. They served us old yellow rice and that was already a bad start. Nothing will taste good if you eat it with rice that sat in the warmer for too long. Old rice gives off a certain type of odor. The machu kreung soup at that point was just okay. The meat was a bit chewy and tough. The intestines were so tough and tasted old (as can see in pic), but we were hungry and we didn't want to waste food so we finished it. Definitely not worth my visit and my money. Such a disappointment because we drove from San Diego to catch a flight back home in LA and this place was our stop for dinner.

Large selection of Cambodian cuisine in a large, spacious, ballroom, right in the middle of Cambodia Town in Long Beach. Probably better to go when busy so the quality/quantity of food is at peak. Came a bit after opening at 10;15 on a Sunday. It is located in a strip mall with a lot of parking spots, but it was full mainly because of the neighboring grocery store. Got greeted right away, and was seated at a table for 4 near the window (you could definitely feel the sun but it felt good, at least at the beginning). It's a colorful menu, with pictures for all the dishes (though neither of my dishes really matched the pictures). I really wish I had come with a group so I could have sampled various things: really wanted to try the Samlor Machu Kroeung (recommended by la_taco), but was afraid that I would be stuck with something I couldn't finish, and I was politely denied a chance to figure out what it might taste like. So went with the Cambodian stalwarts: egg rolls and phnom penh noodles. Both were below average compared to other Cambodian places in Long Beach. The egg rolls ($9.95), five but were of the mini variety (which I didn't expect). They had been freshly fried, and came with 5 small inner leaves of romaine lettuce (which matched the size actually). I was surprised at the size (especially when the 4 spring rolls on the same menu are cheaper but definitely larger). Was planning on eating one, and bringing the rest home, but ended up eating all of them. I also wish for that price, they had done a better job of adding more herbs or even just bigger lettuce leaves. The Phnom Penh Noodles ($12.95) had all the ingredients described, but in small quantities (one or two of each). The broth was pork based, very oily but temperature hot and flavorful. It came with fresh bean sprouts on the side. But in terms of the meat, there just wasn't that much things to go with. I was still hungry and shouldn't have been (not for that price). The server asked if I wanted donuts, which I agreed. The Cha-Quai ($2.50) was good, not too greasy, not too sweet...but I can't say I really understand the deal with always having it with noodle soup. Service was good, and I was checked on multiple times. The check came when asked for, and the receipt was digital, with a suggested tip amount of 15% (which appears at first glance that it was auto added, but then if you add up the total, it was not). It's a great space, though, and can understand how it can be a popular place for the Cambodian community for parties and events. It truly is a banquet hall, that could host a large band along with a full size dance floor (along with table seating to the sides).

Yummmm yummmmm I got an Uber Eats to my hotel . I was drawn by how cheap everything was: compared to Washington anyway. Food (5/5) For our entrees we ordered the Roasted Duck, the Fried Pork, and the Red Curry with Chicken. All three dishes were phenomenal, the sauces that comes with the dishes compliment the meat very well. The Red Curry was flavorful, it was loaded with chicken and veggies. For our drinks, we ordered the Thai Tea and Coconuts. Staff can help you crack the coconuts open which is nice! Delicious food with a large selection to choose from, there is an option for everyone. Service and Ambiance (5/5) We had a young man and a young woman help us, the staff was kind and attentive. Families and groups are welcome here, they have large tables and bright lighting. On weekends, I believe they have singers in the morning. Although the singers are very talented, beware it's hard to hear others talk.

Food 5/5 Very wide selection. Have liked everything so far, big plates to share. Coconut and Thai Tea great. They'll also cut the coconut in half for you afterwards to eat! Service 5/5 Very friendly, lots of seating and very spaced out. On weekends there are live singers. They even sang happy birthday to a customer! Notes Next to asian market so you have to fight for parking. Visible homeless but inside it's a different atmosphere.

Came here after my cruise trip and I was craving asian food ! Restaurant was empty it was just the worker and my family , tables and floors were clean but once I went into the bathroom it smelled unpleasant so I didn't use it... The server was very nice loved speaking Khmer with her. The egg rolls and papaya were decent and the nom boa were cold so I didn't enjoy it :(

Chicken & shrimp rice porridge already half eaten! Sorry.

Always drove by this place and didn't try it until last week. My gf and I both broke up with our bf's and were feeling down and she wasn't feeling well so I ordered, picked up and ate at her place. Wow! The food was so yummy! My friend liked their rice porridge with chicken and shrimp, I got egg rolls & their papaya salad as well as a pork and rice dish... I forgot what it was called but it was all so yummy! Will definitely come back! Also, I didn't know they had Karaoke Friday nights! Woohoo! I only saw 2 dudes singing while they ate at their table but I'll be back! Thank you for such friendly and helpful service over the phone and good food!

Not a super huge fan of French cuisine; however, the menu looked good and mostly reasonable prices. Restaurant is super cute with indoor/outdoor seating. We started off with a bottle of cab (41.00, ouch)! We ended up ordering the fondue for the app (24.00) which comes with bite size pieces of bread and diced apples. It was ok, a little too runny and had an interesting hint of beer flavor. Next up we both ordered the brie & prosciutto sandwich which came with a side of au gratin and greens. The sandwich was excellent but the potatoes were cold. We ended our meal sharing creme brulee for dessert. It was good but also served cold. Total bill incl tip: 163.00 bucks (double ouch)! Overall, meal and service was good, but I would forego the wine on a future visit as it was way overpriced for the brand we got as well as the cheese fondue. Will definitely be back though. Everything feels clean, classy and thoughtfully put together. When you first arrive, seeing the line out the door can be a little intimidating. Usually at places like this, I feel like I have to fight for my life to find a table, but thankfully that wasn't the case here. The staff was very kind and asks how many are in your party and helps you get a table, which made everything much less stressful. They also give you menus while you wait so you can decide what you want ahead of time. We arrived at 10:30am and our wait was about 30 minutes so by the time we were able to order at 11am, the lunch menu was also available. I ordered the tater tots, Cinnagave Shaken Espresso, Dutch Baby Pancake and country sourdough toast with jam. With tax and tip, my total came out to around $40. It's definitely pricier than what I normally pay for breakfast. Most entrées range from $17-$34 and coffees are around $5-$10, so you can easily spend $30+ for one person. In these hard times, that's not exactly ideal for me. I also wanted to try a pastry to get the full experience, but when I found out the small blackberry danish was $7, I decided to pass. I just couldn't justify getting that close to $50 for breakfast for one person. Now for the food! The country sourdough toast with jam was actually my favorite item. The homemade sourdough was incredible and honestly deserves its roses. It sounds like such a simple thing, but it was so well done and easily the standout for me. Visually, the Dutch Baby Pancake was beautiful and definitely impressive when it came out. I've always wanted to try one, so I was excited! I will say, I've read everywhere that Dutch babies are supposed to have more of a custardy center and even the photos I've seen look that way. Mine didn't really have that texture at all and tasted more like a crepe. Maybe it was a little overcooked? It wasn't bad, just not quite what I expected. Still delicious! Unfortunately, the tater tots were the biggest disappointment. They weren't crispy, didn't taste seasoned and sort of fell apart until they became one big potato mess. My cousins and I ended up not finishing them. One of my cousins ordered the summer peach and corn salad, which she liked! Just a heads-up that it's only available after 11 a.m. My other cousin got the skillet, she mentioned feeling a little disappointed since it tasted a little dry and didn't finish her plate. However they both ordered the Curious George drink and LOVED it! The Cinnagave Shaken Espresso was also fantastic. Coffee is definitely something they do very well here and I can see myself getting again. Overall, the aesthetics are adorable and I could see this being a great date spot. The coffee was fantastic, the sourdough was amazing, but the rest of the food was just okay for us. That was a little disappointing because everything sounds SO good on paper. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. The prices are probably the biggest thing holding me back from coming back regularly. Spending $30-$40+ per person for breakfast isn't really in my budget right now, but if this is within your price range, you may have a completely different experience. When I review a place, I try to take the overall experience, personal taste and effort into account. For now, I'm leaving Zuzu's Petals at 4 stars because the effort is definitely there, and what isn't my cup of tea may be someone else's liquid gold. I'd still give them another chance in the future... after I get paid!

The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.

I eventually ordered the Crispy Shrimp & Calamari to eat as my main (I was dining alone). I had recently had a very notable version of the same dish at a Canopy by Hilton in Washington DC, and unfortunately, this one did not measure up. The breading was average and the sweet chili aioli was poor. I asked for ranch instead, which was an improvement but still not great. The portion itself was fine. Service was solid and friendly! I'd rate the staff around a 4. Based on the food I had, the kitchen lands closer to a 2.5 to 3. Fine if you're already in the hotel and want something casual, but not an amazing choice for the fried seafood.
