I'm not sure why my review got deleted, but I'll repost it here: After reading the other reviews here I was leery of going to this store, but since it's so close to my house and I needed to get my phone fixed I thought I'd give it a shot anyways. When I entered the store I was surprised that I was able to walk straight up to an employee and begin getting help, instead of having to put my name on a waiting list like some other stores. The young man that helped me was really nice and knowledgeable and not only was he able to get my phone working again, he ended up looking at my account and saving me a little money. While I didn't end up buying anything this time, I will definitely be coming back here to get my new phone next year. If you live on the peninsula you definitely need to give these guys a shot. read more

It was my first time going to this store, usually I go to the corporate one. I was looking to upgrade my phone to the newer Google Pixel. Sydney helped me out and made the usually a headache of getting a phone into a smoothe experience. There was a little complication with the phone being locked, since it was late, she called me the next day to let me know that they picked up one from another local store. The experience was great I would say and Sydney was very helpful plus carried on pleasant conversations. read more

Met these guys at the Redondo Beach Fair today. When they found out I was month-to-month (two year contract was expired) they proceeded to try to rush my husband and I into a new contract by completely ripping us off! Due to the goodness of their hearts they were going to charge me $500 EACH for new iPhone 6s....what do you know, with new contract they are actually $199! Of course, these dishonest guys told us this special offer was good today only. Also, tried to hard sell us on a tablet we didn't want or need. When we weren't ready to take them up on it right away they brought over the "Regional Manager". I hope this guy wasn't a manager of anything as he had to ask a saleswoman to do the math and add all those $50 and $10 charges he claimed he was saving me. Pitiful. We're actually happy with Verizon Wireless services, it's a shame that we have to go through people like this to upgrade our phones. One good thing, it made me look at my contract as soon as I got home and what do you know? I found an unauthorized charge that goes back at least 18 months. If corporate has a training program these are the people that only made it halfway through or flunked out and were offered a job at a second-rate satellite store. They can't diagnose the simplest of problems. If you want to transfer your data from an old phone to a new one don't bring it there. it's like cavemen admiring a string of pearls. if you like listening to people grunt and watching them itch their back hair this place is for you. I'm not one to leave reviews but I just hope my review will save someone from a headache. I ordered a new a iPhone and was told it would be delivered in 2 days. Expectation was 2-3 days... reality was 1 week+. I kept calling and checked my tracking status and it showed delivered. I went to the store and the guy told me it wasn't in the store. I explained the situation and again, he told me it wasn't in the store to wait another day. I refused to give up and I called Verizon customer support. I was told by them that the phone was delivered to the store and a person who works there actually signed for the phone. I called the store again and told them what I was told. He said he would call me back.. 10 minutes later he called and told me the phone was actually in the store and the "other" worker didn't scan the phone. Had the guy we spoke to in person actually physically attempted to look for the phone, he would have realized the phone was delivered and saved me the trouble of locating my new phone. Save yourself the trouble and go to a corporate office. This place has terrible customer service. I will NEVER go to this Verizon store ever again. Good luck! read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I came in to get the Samsung 6s Edge Plus yesterday. I had 6 months to go on my 2 year contract. Both Alden Martinez and Caleb Martinez said they could get me out of my current contract with no cost and put me on their new program and pay the same monthly price. Would be a win/win for. Well, they flat out LIED. Not only did they not pull me out of my current contract my payments went up $25 per month. I called Verizon today and they told me that I was given bad info but Verizon stepped up and worked out a deal that made me happy. Stay away from these clowns at 4G wireless. Bought Samsung A20 and signed up with Verizon. I hate this phone first of all and it is phone is not reliable. Second, the saleperson tells me it is a 6 dollar phone which was a lie cause it is $12 a month. Paid $280 for the phone overall and you can buy on Amazon for $170. Got ripped off. Also, My bill after all the BS is $80 a month for minimum service for a phone a hardly use which is more than my monthly home electric bill. I will be switching to another service soon read more

CHARGE BACK! when these punks rip you off, file with your credit card company. These crooks will lie and say you signed and knew what you were signing, even though they leave out that they don't tell you AT ALL what you're signing for and in fact lie about it. The worst store I've ever been to. I went to make a return on a product which was still under the return policy and spoke with the Asst. Mgr. who sat there and argued with me, even citing "checking the camera" as if insinuating I stole it. I have a receipt, I clearly have the contract (I just opened one) so I don't understand why is it so difficult to return items. I also found out that they sell products $10+ here than other Verizon stores: Iphone is $760 here, MSRP: $749.99. And when I was opening a contract, it took forever (1.5 hrs.), there were literally 4 people helping me cause no one knows what they're doing apparently, they were all kinda figuring it out and I sat there forever waiting...and waiting. read more

The front door of this establishment was locked when we tried to enter. When your employee cane to unlock the door, he asked us what we are there for. We told him for a smart watch. We were asked to wait as the TWO me employees in the store were assisting other customers. After waiting in the store for close to 45 minutes, while the employees flirted with their customers, the incompetent worker finally attended to us to inform us they have no watches in store. Super disappointed, why couldnt he inform us when we walked in? Then when we asked a few questions, he had no information to present - no pictures, no models, no specs. Ridiculous waste of time! Quite frankly one of the worst experiences I have had to deal with in a long time. First off let me just state this is not a corporate store they are an authorized retailer. So don't expect them to go out of their way if you encounter a problem. Also if you live in San Pedro I would not recommend Verizon wireless unless you want to be inconvenienced by poor service coverage. I signed up for a wireless plan at the store was overcharged for the phones and was promised that the service would be valid in my area. Come to find out service was spotty at best. I called customer service to see if there was a solution to my problem they filed a ticket and within 2 days I had received a reply that coverage in my area would not be conducive to my needs And that I should return the devices and discontinue services with a full refund. That's when things turn for the worse the store refused to reimburse me the activation fees and insisted on charging me a restocking fee on both devices even though corporate reassured me I would not be charged. After numerous trips and heated discussions and one employee that was very disrespectful and rude. The manager credited back the majority of the money I was out. I would not recommend Verizon nor this particular store. read more

Major kudos to Yolanda Gonzalez at this Verizon store! When I went in I told her about just a few of the problems I was having with Verizon billing and phone assistance and let her know I honestly was going to get another network. For over 6 months I have been handling my son's bills as he has challenges. He lives in a different city than I do. He had been on a "cash only" basis with Verizon. He called Verizon and let them know I would be managing his account. I repeatedly asked for statements by mail to my address because that's how I pay my bills; the ONE time I got a statement, I promptly sent it back with a check for the amount due. It's so unbelievable that Verizon had the money in hand, could have checked my account to see I faithfully pay my bills, had all the information, but they sent the check back and not to me, but to him! Instead of sending me bills, they kept sending him messages that his account was going to be terminated. Then I would have to pay them by phone. Then I transferred a Verizon tablet that I never used to my son's account, specifically asked for the $10.00 plan for the tablet and sent it to him. The plan turned out to be 5Gb for over $75 additional. It's a good thing I kept notes of every conversation I had with phone assistance from Verizon, because I had been scammed and all I wanted was responsible service. Yolanda was the consummate professional. She totally understood my frustration. She set us up on a share plan so that all the billing would come to me. She sold me a new IPhone 6S for my son, arranged for the shipping and even helped me with some problems I was having with my IPhone. She was brilliant with working out all the details and showered me with reassurance throughout the process. She offered to help me with anything that came up so I wouldn't have to use the often-unreliable phone service. She is the greatest - she's smart, friendly, personable, fair, honest and she cares. She's one of your best sales people and I know because I used to be a sales trainer for medical supplies. Don't let her get away as your loss will be somebody's else gain! And Verizon, please be sure to share this with her!!! read more

Wow, I wish I had read the other reviews before I did business here. I tried to set up an account for two phones. They kept pushing additional services until I agreed to add a jet pack to the account. I finally went home and I didn't get any service at all. It looks like I happen to live in a Verizon dead spot. Neither me nor my hubby has any service and we have both a droid and an iPhone. The jet pack didn't get service either. When I brought the phones back because I had no service, they weren't helpful at all. I actually had to call the corporate office to get them to issue the refund for the activation fee! They wouldn't do it in the store! Corporate told me they absolutely could have done it in the store. So they didn't help issue a refund for service that didn't work at all. They didn't help me cancel the jet pack service. I had to go back again to take care of this. Of course all this took forever. This experience was the worst. read more

We initially went in with 2 requests: A phone for my work and a budget of $180. He completely Duped us and put us in such an AGGRAVATED SITUATION where they KEEP disconnecting us. It is now costing my job due to disconnecting us 4 times!!! After being with Verizon for 12 years, I WILL STOP USING VERIZON and go to a different company that can HELP US with this situation, since he doesn't want to help nor does the rest of the Verizon administration team. nobody knows why our phone keeps having this outstanding balance and keeps disconnecting us. I opened a new account with them, lester tried to sell me on going with verizon since i had sprint at the time and even offered to give me a corporate discount of 20% off my monthly bill, well that didn't happen...Also they have 1 employee working and art times you have 3-4 customers waiting.. I'd skip this place, verizon corp has been notified about the false discounts this location is giving out. read more

My experience so far with this store has been very pleasant. The sales people have actually been really helpful and it doesn't seem like they are trying to rip you off or push you into a plan that doesn't fit. I suppose they were pushing a little bit a promotion that was on offer at the moment, but it actually did seem like a good promotion to switch from another carrier it just didn't really apply to me since I already had paid off phones that were compatible with the Verizon network. Anyway, I would consider myself a new and satisfied customer. I am glad this location is nearby. The parking is relatively easy as well which is nice in this land of no parking. It does seem to be busy, but since it's close by to me I usually just wait until it's pretty late and then I don't have much of a wait. It is a small location and they usually only have two people working both of whom always seem to be with customers, unless you go late. That's my tip. Good luck. read more

Yeah, they're not too bright in this store. Two years ago I upgraded my phone and my wife's phone about two weeks before Christmas. And I specifically stated that I didn't want to deactivate my wife's old phone and did not want to active her new phone until Christmas day. So what did they do? Exactly the opposite! As soon as I got home, my wife was wondering why her phone was no longer working, so she called Verizon and the Rep stated that her old phone was turned off and her new phone (which she wasn't supposed to know about until Christmas!!!) was turned on. Merry Early Christmas babe! Two years later, as I'm trying to update the software in my phone I'm experiencing problems. So, and I knew I shouldn't have done it, I went into the same store thinking they'll be able to fix it. Of course they couldn't figure it out BUT acting just like used car sales men, they tried to sell me a new phone and a new plan which I kept politely saying "no!" One guy even asked, "But why!?" Why!?!? I said!? Does it really matter!?!?!?! So after keeping it over night they still couldn't figure out what was wrong with my phone, and of course, still trying to sell me things I didn't need. I end up taking it to my friend's house who's pretty good with gadgets and he fixes it in only a minute!!!!! With Verizon being the best phone company they really need to wipe out all their employees and start brand new with better, honest people who don't desperately try to sell you things you don't really need. read more

Upon receiving my replacement phone on the mail, I stopped by the store to have it activated and have my pictures and contacts transferred. To my pleasant surprise, I was the only costumer at the store. As soon as eye contact was made, Sales Representative Kristin M. Welcomed me with a sincere smile, she knows her trade; quickly but without a rush she started working on my devices. It was a hot day and she gave me a cup of refreshing ice cold water. Kristin as a good sales agent, offered me an upgrade, but did not push the issue when I declined her offer. Her costumer service level did not change during my visit. Came in today to replace a lost/stolen phone that I had been paying insurance on. This type of transaction takes a LONG time because of everything involved in the transfer/purchase/set-up etc...Eric, Kristen & Alden{?} all helped and they couldn't have been more knowledgeable and friendly. Instead of using the insurance and paying a $199 replacement fee, they suggested just buying a new iPhone 5 which they sold for $25 {I know the newer iPhones are just around the corner but we really don't need all the gadgets etc}...was able to recover all contacts, programs, music from the lost phone to the new phone...but it was tricky. My biggest suggestion is to always BACK UP your smartphones. read more
