For "fast food" this place is a great alternative. It's my go-to for kids and the perfect lunch during dance competitions at the Hyatt Orange County. Walking distance from the hotel too! I prefer this fast food over burgers, fries, fried chicken. Healthy, hot, fresh and never disappoints. We live walking distance so we frequent this Waba. We never had any issues here . The owner really takes care of the restaurant. It is always clean and welcoming . It's so nice that they put out chairs, tables and nice palm trees in the front that makes it look really nice especially at night. We went the other day around 10 and I couldn't believe they were still open that's awesome for late-night cravings. I really did not want to write this review but it seems imperative based on the past 3 experiences with this location. They NEVER get my order completely right out of 3 times that I've been here. And the worse part is, these are all online orders which means no verbal miscommunication but purely requiring employees to be able to know how to read and follow instructions. I ask for no sauce on my meat and guess what? 2 out of 3 times you're going to get that sauce whether you want it or not lol this is just one of the thing they do wrong amongst a few others but i can't write an essay on this Other than all these problems, food is good. Courtesy of the people at the Fit Expo I got a free meal here and seeing as it was cheap, relatively healthy and close to the hotel where we were staying I came here twice to get my ''Bro Food''. The food is not cooked to order but already cooked and simply heated as and when it's needed which you can tell. The menu is simple with either a plate or bowl, basically you can have Meat and Rice or Meat and Rice with Vegetables, Like I said.. Bro Food. The Chicken has some good flavors and amazingly I enjoyed the Vegetables despite the mix including Cabbage (always hated the stuff) but he Rice (both White and Brown) were under cooked. There's a little Salad Bar to the side of the counter with extra Vegetables if you want them plus a drinks fridge filled with various sports drinks and water plus a soda machine which at the moment as they are a new location are offering a free (Soda) with any meal purchase. Personally I would prefer to pay an up charge and have a bottled water but that wasn't an option. Overall a decent enough quick meal but not somewhere I would go out of my way for. First time ever trying Waba Grill & won't be my last! I'm never out late on Friday evenings, that's more of my sisters jam LOL. My mom had surgery at UCI and last minute was admitted overnight. I had been there all day and night and hadn't eaten yet. Trying to find something open around 11PM besides fast food is a rarity! We were originally going to the Subway next to Waba grill and we saw the doors were still open and we gladly walked in! I was so shocked and grateful Waba grill was open! I love how it was an all female crew running things so smoothly. The cashier was friendly and accommodated my sisters request. Not only is the food amazing but I love how they have their teriyaki sauce in a huge container by the drink counter on display without having to ask the staff behind the counter LOL! I'm the queen of sauces when I order food and a stickler for it!! Not to mention this location was so clean! Nothing was sticky at the counter, the condiment bar was stocked and well presented! Our food was ready within 15 minutes and we were on our way! We couldn't wait to get home and dig in! The presentation was on point! My dumplings/potstickers were delicious!! My kids meal was so good!! Next time I will say only carrots as my veggies because they give you plentiful cabbage and broccoli. My sisters beef plate had great portions! Everything tasted so fresh. Chicken wasn't dried out. Rice wasn't overcooked, just right!! My sister and I are still dreaming about it and so bummed there isn't any Waba Grills in the Tustin/Irvine area.
