Great tasting and somewhat healthy fast food , with decent deals on their chicken bowls!

Stopped in for lunch with my wife. Both of us got the chicken teriyaki bowl. There was a special so the price was reasonable. Service was fine and food was good. I wish there was just a little more chicken in the bowl though. read more

Meh. I ordered the chicken bowl. The service was quick and friendly but the food was mediocre. And by food I mean the chicken. It was really fatty and I was only able to eat a few pieces. The upside is the sauce is tasty (try the hot/spicy!) and the rice was nice and hot. Unfortunately due to the chicken I likely wouldn't eat here again. meh. this place is ok, the store is clean the personnel are good, but the food really is just meh. While I love fresh veggies and can't stand overcooked ones, their veggies are never cooked quite enough. They are neither cooked or raw, it is this weird warm yet overly crunchy consistency. 3 stars because the food is inconsistent. Sometimes the chicken is hot, fresh and juicy. Sometimes its dry and tastes old. I don't know if the difference is the cook or how busy they are. The restaurant itself is usually clean and has plenty of seating area. The parking lot can be a little tough though since the small center always seems packed. What I do like is they take phone orders and I've called in to order catering trays before and they were able to have it ready within 15 minutes. They give you everything you need to throw a party (plates, cutlery, sauces, serving utensils, etc.) They also deliver for free which is convenient! Just wish they consistently served hot, fresh chicken made to order! read more

This place has horrible customer service. Today, 7/29/21 at about 5 pm I stopped by for a shrimp plate, it was super expensive and the young girl serving and attending the place had terrible manners, no customer service skills. The place had flies inside of it and the tables were dirty. The real highlight was seeing a kitchen worker sleeping ( laying down) on one of the long seats along the wall. OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE first time ordering from here and it won't be my last.. everything was on point and the flavor was just spectacular. The kale salad was great, I never had kale before but it was delicious with whatever dressing they put on it. I love how when you ask for extra meat you get you some extra meat lol they provides me with all the condiments, napkins, forks and even chopsticks I needed with out me even asking. I've been to many different locations of Waba Grill before, but this one in particular is very clean, very well-run, and the employees there are very friendly. I was picking up a pair of new, athletic cross-training shoes at a store within walking distance (this was the only Christmas gift I bought for myself), so I stopped by to get a meal, rather than driving to a different restaurant nearby. The parking in this area is a little bit challenging, because there are about 15 different storefronts, crammed into one small strip mall, here. I've been to quite a few Waba locations and I must say that this location puts the others to shame. From their friendly staff, especially Karla, to the quality and taste of the food, this location outshines the rest. The food is consistently fresh and tasty. The key word is consistently. The staff are fast and efficient. I've seen a line out the door during lunch and they're super quick. The place is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. After ordering and waiting for my food, I saw a huge roach on the floor, and the tables were full of bugs. The place smelt like they hadn't cleaned it in days. I respectfully ordered a refund and they weren't able to even do that for me. When I respectfully let the employee know (her name was Janette) about the situation she told me there was nothing she could do about it, and gave me an attitude as if I was the one in the wrong for informing her. If I could give zero stars, I would. They have the absolute worst employees working here. It makes a simple task such as ordering and waiting for your food so Unenjoyable. I asked for waba sauce as I was leaving and the woman working tells me it's around the corner. As I turn to walk in the direction she directed me to, she goes back and tells the 2 other women "ya no hay" (which translates to there's no more) and they all start laughing. I'm sure they thought I didn't speak Spanish but little did they know I speak it fluently. How rude and unprofessional of grown women who work in the food industry/ customer service field. Mind you I was extremely nice, initiated a hello because I couldn't even get that, and thanked them. To top it off, they got my order completely wrong and I didn't notice until I already got home. I'm pretty disappointed. I paid $14 for my food. It was only a large plate of white rice and chicken. When last time I had payed $7 Had to send my food back twice because they didn't do it right the first two times. I come here all the time so I don't understand why it cost so much. It's your standard Waba Grill, what can go wrong? Worst customer service. Get off work around 9pm so when I go in, there's nobody in line. I'm a few feet away looking at the menu. I finally decide so I walk up to the register only to see a girl staring blankly past me as if she was day dreaming. Apparently I had to start with "Hey how's it going?" No answer. An awkward couple seconds go by and she finally snaps out of it and asks what I want. I order my dinner and I ask her what the store hours were because on my way in I didn't see it. I wasn't looking too hard since I figured I'll just ask. The answer I got was "11 or 12".... "What?" "It's 11 or 12. It's somewhere out there, I think on the door." My brother worked her and they treated him very poorly. First all they didn't​ have him get a food handlers card. Which is not okay because they are working with food. I have a feeling no one there has one. During​ the interview,​ the store owner told him he didn't​ hire boys or people of the age of 18. He was both of those things. They didn't​ train him yet they fired him the next week because​ he wasn't​ good enough for the job. He didn't​ even have training. This makes me sad. They did not even give him breaks. read more

This place was very talked up for average food. It's overpriced and lacks flavor. The idea is great for someone looking for a healthier option. Honestly though, it reminded me of those old school teriyaki rice bowls from Jack-in-the-Box (if that's the right fast-food joint) but with better chicken and not overcooked vegetables. I had them add avocado knowing it would be extra but not realizing that they charge $1.50 for it. In hindsight, I would not have spent the money on this place and would have gone to an authentic Asian restaurant for a teriyaki rice bowl. read more

FLIES! TOO MANY FLIES! Circling the trash cans, circling the drink machine, landing on your food, it's really irritating. This location is very nice, food is decent, but the cast members leave both doors wide open (with the air conditioning turned on) and the flies pour in. I'm not sure why it's difficult to close the two front doors and allow the A/C to do it's job, but at this location it apparently is. If anyone from WaBa Grill sees this, please close your darn front doors or at least install door fans above to keep the bugs out. if you're a fly and you're hungry, head to this location, there's plenty to eat. read more
