This is my favorite place to eat in Reno. It is a family business & the food reminds me of home. I came here on a bad day & the owner could tell I was feeling down, so he offered me the lamb shank platter that is not on the menu. I have been lucky to get it a few times. I understand that it's not an official item because it takes a few hours to roast a tray of them. I recommend the platters with fluffy yellow rice. Their toum "garlic sauce" is out of this world. Finally ventured in with a gyro craving. When I said I wanted a gyro he said " For here or to go?" I said "here" He asked "the Combo?" I said no. Then he listed off all the sides and I said "it comes with it?" He says "YES!" Then says "a nice piece of baklava too?" Thinking it also "came with it" and pleasantly surprised I said yes. Then he tells me the price which was at least $6 more than I expected as the gyro was listed at $8. THEN and only then I realized he had no idea what I wanted, led me to believe it all came with it (yes I know I should've known but I was HANGRY) When I realized what was up I said "I just wanted the gyro!" To which he looked displeased, told the cooks and charged me correctly. Also gave it to me in a bag "to go" which I definitely didn't ask for. To top all that off it was just average. Nothing like I expected. The meat was just ok, the meat to sauce to toppings ratio was off, I couldn't taste the tzatziki sauce, lettuce isn't my thing in a gyro and well...I took half of it home to make my own sauce, take out the lettuce and add feta which I should've in the first place. Came here for my first time today and it most definitely won't be my last. I'm a big fan of Mediterranean food so I decided to check this place out during my lunch hour. Personally I like gyros or lamb so I was torn between the wrap and the platter so I chose the platter. The total came out to 10.83$ and there was a lot of food! It came with a good amount of meat with a side of rice and potatoes. The sauces were very good it came with hummus and their garlic sauce. Also they added a side of pita bread to go with the platter. My only complaint really was the hardness of the pita, but that may have been a hiccup. This place is really great and I plan on going here many more times and tasting the different meats and salads. read more

Amazing Greek food! I got the mixed beef and chicken wrap and added feta. It was delicious. It looks skinny and like there's not much in it when you get it, but trust me it's super filling and delicious and just bursting with flavor! My husband tried the potato salad and it was very good. Really wish I had saved $34 and not eaten here. The guys were nice and the place was clean. The food was terrible. Had a schwarma plate and my wife had kabob plate. Schwarma was dry and old. I estimate about 8-10hours old or from the day before. I came in 15 minutes before closing- That shouldn't mean I get dried out over salted food for $34. Baklava tasted good-looking but was stale. Chewy. Not crispy. I had a piece of pita so dry it was like a potato chip. The worst Mediterranean food I may have ever had . Bummer, it's close to where I have to be for work every week. read more

The food is truly horrible. As an Asian person from the Bay Area this food is absolutely atrocious and putrid. The falafel seems frozen from Walmart and somehow they managed to absolutely butcher hummus??? Hummus! It was so awful I couldn't bear the taste. The platter was also so small and all it had was a little rice, some falafel, an unseasoned piece of potato, some tomato cucumber salad, and yogurt that curdled before we even got home. Came here for lunch with friends and was really impressed by the price and quantity of food we received. For $8 I got a huge gyro wrap, with beef right off the skewer and chocked full of onions, cucumber, and tomatoes. The whole thing was extremely tasty, although also very drippy. We also snaked on fresh pita bread with hummus. The hummus had whole garbanzo beans, olive oil, and a side of veggies. We made little sandwiches out of them. Way better than french fries. I wish they had served sides of tzatziki sauce, I love putting more of that good stuff on my greek food. There was also baclava, which I did not have a chance to try, but looked super good. Next time. Overall a great place for a filling, affordable lunch you'll really enjoy. Just a quick update to my lengthy review from 4 years ago. The shawarma wraps are still great, and the gyro wrap is now made with lamb and has great flavor. The most striking change is with the dolma (stuffed grape leaves): they're really tasty, served with a good, fresh hummus and triangles of warm, soft flatbread. This spot has become a go-to favorite when running errands, and regardless of which wrap I choose, I never leave without a serving of dolma and hummus. Delicious. read more

I found out about Wrap It Up literally a week or so before I moved, and went in one afternoon to check it out. I believe they had just opened for business. When you first walk-in you are greeted right away by staff behind the counter. Great first impression for me. As I walk into the far back counter where you place your order, the aromatic smell of delicious Mediterranean food follows you. Every time I have come in here, I've seen the same 2 friendly faces. One takes the order and the other prepares your food. This location used to be Pita-Pit that served customized wraps so the prep area is pretty similar. With this said, whatever you decided on having will be prepared right then and there. I grew up in the Philippines and surprisingly Shawarmas were quite popular there. So my very first visit, I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Wrap. Flavors were on point and the fresh veggies, garlic sauce and tahini made the wrap super tasty. I particularly enjoyed the side of vegetables that came with this. It was a cucumber and tomato type salad. The only thing that I was a little disappointed about was the actual pita wrap just broke into many pieces and was not able to properly eat my wrap as it should be. Not a big deal but if the restaurant is called "Wrap" It Up, I would expect a great wrap. Ever since then, I haven't ordered another wrap and instead opted for the platters. The platters are well worth your money. I have never actually finished an entire platter before because of how much food is given to you. The potatoes are seasoned well, and they practically melt in your mouth. The basmati rice is mind blowing. Cooked to perfection every time I come. There is nothing special about the dining room area, typical tables and chairs with a soda fountain machine for refills. But this isn't a big deal to me. As long as the food is great and the dining room area is clean then I'm all about it. Not to mention the friendly customer service. So really, my only flaw about this place is the pita wrap not holding up to its capacity. Like I said, I haven't tried the wrap again so maybe they have improved on this. Don't be confused by the name - this is Greek food and it's awesome! They do have wraps, which are beef, chicken, or both. They also have gyros & platters. You can add a drink and a side for $3 extra to a wrap. I recommend the lentil soup. They also have hot sauce behind the counter you can ask for. The owner is always there, and it is clearly a family business. My only negative is it is a bit on the pricey side. A wrap is about $10, so if you do a combo you're up to $13. That keeps me from going back often, and makes it a special treat for lunch. read more

Because on those days when you search Yelp extensively trying to discover what food sounds good for lunch, schwarma is always the answer. It looks like there are about three older gentlemen who own the place, and they are the ones making your food like their grandmas made it forty years ago. I had the chicken schwarma wrap and the hubs had the beef kebob wrap. Both were delicious and flavorful, with fresh veggies and a flavorful sauce to go with them. The hummus side we had was significantly larger than we expected (and also included cucumber-tomato salad and tabbouleh). Please, check it out. Walked in and the manager was talking incredibly disrespectfully to one of the employees about making sure that none of the ingredients have pieces of other ingredients in them (in the display). He was being picky and complaining about how this is a turn off to customers because it's the first thing they see when they walk in. Guess what is a turn off?
