My first mistake was coming in this area at 5 during rush hour traffic ... getting through to the parking lot can be a bit much for someone who isn't familiar with the area but once you're parked and there, you're good. Service was excellent, our server was super helpful and checked on us often during happy hour to make sure that we were okay which I appreciated. We sat out in the patio area .. not sure if we had to sit there for happy hour because my party was already seated by the time I got out there but it was nice in that area. Our table had a little mishap at the end that we noticed but the manager was very apologetic and helpful with finding a resolution. The Macaroni and cheese is to die for! I also loved the giant pretzel! Only dish I did not care for was the garlic lobster noodles. I've come here many times with friends and coworkerrs, and it's usually a very safe bet. Enormous menu, which is great if you're picky or have allergies, its just that not all of it is fantastic. A lot of the food is pretty middle of the road, but with this kind of place, you get what you pay for, and I'm rarely disappointed. Starters that I've tried are generally solid, cheese curds, chips and queso, and more all do the job Burgers are alright, not generally what I would recommend, and most of their sandwiches are okay, my wife liikes the fish and chips, which I also think are okay. Salads are fine as well from what I'm told, keep those useless greens away from me. Ultimately this is one of the most solid "work lunch" locations I can think of, great portions, pretty good service, decent food, and tons of seating indoors and out. read more

Almost sent it back, but we had another destination to go to after eating early dinner. I didnt want to delay out dinner and arrival at the next destination. I definetly woud not order again, but my friends salad was piled high with fresh ingredients. Looked really scrumpteous--and must have been because she ate every bite. They were even cool about getting her tofu cooked correctly for her salad and made it on the fly. At least she was able to eat her salad while she waited for it. I, on the other hand, would have been left to eat bread and butter if I had sent my entree back. Ambience is a little dark than desired, and we went during the daytime. Go figure. Positives--nice location and great for small groups of people to dine at. The place was very busy all around (bar, indoor, and outdoor seating), but the service was consistently great throughout. Both flavors of wings, Lemon Pepper Dry Rub and Whiskey Black Pepper, were very tasty. It also helped that both were different enough in terms of flavor and spice levels. The Carne Asada Street Tacos, however, were just ok. All of the components of the tacos were good, but there was too much guac and not nearly enough salsa. I visited Yard House on a Friday night with a party of five. It was packed and we were estimated a 25 minute wait, but thankfully we were seated a lot sooner. They had a wide array of drinks to choose from and I was able to try their local sampler, which came with six samples of beers made locally. I also had a house margarita, which was just your average margarita, but still good. My favorite appetizer were their boneless wings with the Korean sauce. It was delicious! Their onion rings were also good. I had their Black Truffle Cheeseburger and ordered it medium well. They cooked the burger perfectly and it was juicy! My favorite part about Yard House was the atmosphere. It is great for groups. I also like how they are well prepared to serve large groups. Back in the day, I thought Yard House was overhyped, but as I've been coerced to return more and more, it's grown on me to the extent that I actually look forward to coming here! Their menu is pretty overwhelming, and gives off major "Cheesecake Factory" sort of vibes, because it seems like it never ends. Their drinks have something for everyone, and they have a random assortment of food ranging from standard American to Asian. My favorite dishes are their apps, notably the cheese curds and the mushroom lettuce wraps (off the menu, but they will make them). The cheese curds are as good, if not better, than what you can get in Wisconsin. The lettuce wraps come with three sauces and are definitely more filling than they sound. They have a nice happy hour menu too. The only downsides are the noise level, and the ability to get a table here. It's just so.freaking.popular., and now I understand why. read more

Just coming to the front of the building, you can tell that the place will have great ambience. The place was packed, and there was a wait, but I did not mind that at all. Just looking around, you can see that they have an extensive bar with many types of liquor, but that did not interest me one bit. I am here for the food, so let's do it! The appetizers were the onion ring tower which was a stacking onion rings that are beer battered and parmesan, along with two dipping sauces of chipotle and buttermilk ranch. The second appetizer was actually the snack of guacamole and chips. That came with Pico de Gallo and feta. Onion rings and guacamole both have the same feedback from me. They both have good texture but taste was average. Even the Chipotle ranch for the onion rings didn't pop the flavor of the well fried circles. Well, time to eat something with some substance. An order of Nashville Hot chicken which came with fried sage, sweet potato pancakes, pickles, ranch dressing and honey hot sauce. Second entrée was the SPICY JAMBALAYA which comes blackened shrimp, chicken - Andouille sausage, peppers and crawfish in a Cajun cream sauce. The Nashville hot chicken actual chicken crust was fried really well. Unfortunately, the crust had all the spice and flavor. The meat inside was bland and then you feel burn way after you swallow. Sweet potato pancakes has a nice taste and they provide you with a take it or leave it spicy syrup. The honey hot sauce was a no for everyone in my birthday party, but I didn't mind it. It has an unusual taste and spice to it that gives the pancakes a different taste all together. The spicy jambalaya pasta had decent flavor but nothing outstanding. I never had jambalaya in a pasta dish (it's a rice dish), but it was worth getting. Negative remarks to you though - 2 shrimps in a jambalaya is unforgivable, plus you left the tails on the shrimp. The shrimp were slightly overcooked but seasoned well. They named it a spicy jambalaya but truly it could have used more seasoning. The sign said "great food," but that is a stretch. Decent food is better suited for them. The service is attentive even when they are shorthanded, which seemed to be the case for us. I do want to come back and try the happy hour eats and having 2 happy hours is a real cool concept to me. I will go back to see if any other foods can possibly wow me. As previous reviews have stated, I would definitely recommend coming here for happy hour to get the most bang (or lack thereof) for your buck. Service can really get aggravating, especially during peak times. We had to flag down our waiter about 6 times or more during the night to get refills on our drinks. It was disconcerting seeing our waiter stand on the sidelines chatting throughout the night, and not paying attention to his tables. Obviously, it's tough to maintain a great level of service when it's like a can of sardines in there, but I expect average service with some attentiveness. We came around 9:30pm on a Friday night and just wanted a casual night with drinks and appetizers with our friends. Because of the extended time required to get drinks and food, we ended up being there for about 1.5 hours for a party of only 4. Drinks (5/5): Always A+++ ! Crispy Brussel sprouts & ripped potatoes with malt vinegar aioli (4/5): These were surprisingly very tasty. It was more Brussel sprouts and maybe 20% potatoes. The malt vinegar aioli was very rich in flavor and tasted like mayo to us. We hardly used it. Calamari (4/5): The calamari was perfectly breaded, seasoned and fried. This was on par with other fried calamari I have had at other establishments around town. Pineapple-ham pizza (2/5): The pineapple-ham flavors were great with the right amount of sauce, cheese and pizza dough! However, the biggest downfall was that the pizza was overly soggy. We had to use utensils to eat the pizza because it would fall apart when trying to pick up a slice. Service (2/5): Service on this visit was mediocre. We really wanted our server to be more attentive, but it just seemed like we were ignored most of the night. I don't like having to struggle to get drinks refilled, ordering more food, and even getting the bill. There is definitely room for improvement. Overall, I like how Yard House has a great selection of beers, cocktails, and specialty drinks- there's something for everyone. I also like the variety of food items available. I wouldn't come here if I were on time constraints, as the wait for a table and drinks/food can be long. I visited while at a conference. We had a party of over 100 and overall the team did well with drink and food orders. We had a 3 course menu, but just about no one got the opportunity to enjoy dessert, because we had to get to our next session. The appetizers (firecracker boneless chicken, Calamari, and spinach/artichoke dip) were good. The soup was good and the garlic noodles were tasty. Came here with some friends for a late night dinner and drinks. My friends have been to the locations in Arizona and Hawaii so when they heard this one was opening up they had to take me here. First off their big attraction is the 80+ beers they keep on tap. I am not a beer drinker but this place has a very extensive drink menu. They offer many interesting concauction from beer mixing to very delicious cocktails. I had the Pineapple Express, it was delicious. It tasted like a pineapple mojito. Everyone else at the table had beer combinations. I also had the (mac + cheese)^2. Which was their mac and cheese with wild mushrooms, bacon, and grilled chicken. It was a pretty big serving and filled with meat. It hit the spot. This place is very nice inside and the crowd that this place draws is mid 20s to mid 30s from what I saw. I've come here plenty for happy hour and just to hang out with friends in general. Every single time, the service is just never great, or even good. If you have a big party, expect your waitress/waiter to take a very long time to check on you, if they check on you at all. The last time I was here, I didn't get any utensils/napkin way way after my pizza had come out. And my waitress didn't actually bring them out until I had to ask for it. Food are just average. Your typical bar food. Beer selections are good. But even during happy hour, the prices wouldn't really make you happy. Meh. I called over who I though was a manager and all I got was "we will call pest control". Well he was right about calling pest control but he might want to call in a better team who offer customer service and brush up on hospitality management. I got the Grand Patron Margarita and it was AMAZING I wish I had time for another one but I only had enough time fir a quick bite. I wanted something light to eat so I chose the chopped salad and a chicken taco. The salad was bigger than I expected and I only finished half. I'm not a fan of celery but it was ok in the salad. I didn't get the Bloody Mary vinaigrette dressing that came with it. I opted for the balsamic vinaigrette instead. Cool, trendy place. To get here, you'll have to park in the shopping center garage, which used to be free, but not anymore. It's facing the grassy area in the middle. They have a large selection of draft beers, and you can see the pipes feeding the spouts; pretty cool. The food is good too, and the menu has a good variety. I really enjoy their truffle fries, some of the best I've tried. I haven't had a bad experience with service yet. For that reason, the place is usually crowded, so plan ahead.
