They were really nice about creating a meal even though everything was already mostly cleaned. This location has nice seating and huge vent fans that looked like from a hotpot or k-bbq joint. We got the Green Onion Pancake with Egg (added the garlic sauce from the self-serve condiment bar which really hit the spot!), Egg Omelette, Purple Rice Roll, Fish Roll and Soy Milk to-go. Food came out hot and in a timely manner. I ordered the savory soy milk, minced pork plate, and rice rolls. I enjoyed the savory soy milk, but it did lean a little on the blander side. I had ordered a large and maybe the toppings (yow tiu, pickled veggies, pork sung) were tailored for the smaller size? It was still enjoyable. The minced pork plate was a little too salty for me. While overall I did enjoy the dish, which came with a marinated egg, seasoned spicy cucumbers, and cabbage, I probably won't order again because of the saltiness. Rice rolls were the stars for us. The purple rice option is a little more unique! Yow tiu inside was not oily- they did it right! I also really appreciate that you can customize your order. Someone in our party didn't prefer pickled veggies, so there's a place on the online form to communicate to the staff to leave it out. Another person in our family can't have wheat; I was able to indicate on the form to leave out the yow tiu in his order. You can also do add-ons to the rice rolls like egg, and that's also easy to indicate on the online platform. I ordered some more food to go and the worker at the counter was really nice. I'll start with a con. Pest control? There was a mosquito flying around and I shouldn't have worn shorts. It bit my leg three times. The service is okay as it is self-serve mobile ordering option. Food came out great. I ordered the pork belly rice and rice roll. For the rice roll, I recommend some veggie add-on to make it less dry. If eating by itself, you're gonna need sharp teeth so you don't pull more than you need of the dried pork meat in the rice roll. I wish they cut the pieces smaller. It's basically dried pork meat with a tangent Chinese donut inside. Chinese donut is a sweet puffy bread. Pork belly rice is pretty good and made to expectation with a hard boiled egg. Not sure what the hype around this brand is about, but the breakfast food was bland. Next time we'll try non-breakfast items. My husband is Taiwanese and he said most Taiwanese breakfast is bland and typically has no flavor-except the fantuan and maybe salted/unsalted soy milk. We ordered a ton of items to try: Purple fantuan, #2 Chinese donut + baked bread, #3 egg omelet, #4 Daikon cake, #5 Beef Sandwich, and regular soy milk. Fantuan is our go to and that was decent, but it was still dry and we still prefer going to Huge Tree Pastry for it. The donut+baked bread and also the Beef Sandwich were cold/old and extremely dry in your throat. The egg omelet and daikon cake were room temp and tasted like it was made without salt or any seasoning. Lastly, I'm not sure if they offer sweetened soy milk, but this one was plain. Everything literally has no flavor LOL. Guess that's why there's soy sauce, garlic soy, and chili condiments :P read more

3.5 stars. Beef noodle soup flavor and toppings are on point! Noodles cooked just right, but portions could be just a wee bit bigger. The pork noodle soup (rou gen mien) was runny and lacked the requisite body/thickness. That one left you wanting. Steamed dumplings were scrumptious but a few had slight tears. The dough could use a bit more bite, but what a treat. Side dishes like seaweed, cucumber, stewed meat were pricey. Service is generally attentive. You order at the front counter, grab the table sign with your order number and off you go to look for an open spot. When the food comes out of the kitchen, servers will look for your number and bring it to you. There are QR codes at each table saying you can order with the code too but we found that the options on the online menu vs the in-store menu (you are there already) varied. We preferred to walk up to the cashier and simply order and pay there. There is a tip jar up front. We expected a bit quicker fulfillment of the orders from the kitchen. Our one order of steamed dumplings took close to 30 minutes (from the time we ordered and paid) to get to our table. By then, we had pretty much finished the other food. The space is clean and staff are pretty quick to bus/clean tables. There is a small service island with plastic cups for iced water, condiments like hot sauce, garlic sauce, soy sauce, black/white vinegars, salt/pepper, utensils, napkins. Not the best set up as it creates a bit of a back up, especially with patrons and staff walking around. Space can feel a little tight. Verdict: 3.5 stars. It has potential Bring up the value proposition a bit, hone the efficiency factor, and you'll have more regulars. read more

Ordering was quick and easy online and the time estimation was pretty good. The fan tuan was exactly what I wanted in that moment - stuffed (I did order some extras), savory, carb-y. I also got the savory soy milk and the sweet soy milk, which is essentially the same soy milk base but the savory one came with pork floss and pickles.
