Came in on a really busy evening for dinner, and when it was my time to step up to the register to order, I didn't feel rushed one bit. It's the little things! Good when I was a little kid, good now. At first I felt like the bill was kinda high (about $26 for two places, a side, and a small drink) but the portions were so huge. My falafel plate was enough for 4 meals. The garlic sauce is of course, the spread of the gods. (And vegan!) it was also nice that they are next store to the baklava factory, so I got an assortment to complete the feast. I was also impressed with the extensive FAQ section of there website, which should satisfy the concerns of any picky eater with restrictions, and offers secret menu modifications. Only complaint is that the smell from the bathrooms was quite intense and could be smelled by the table I was waiting at nearby, like a porta potty. I like this location, most of the staff is friendly and quick to greet you. The orders come out in a hurry despite long lines on occasion. Tasty food at a decent price, I can't argue with the results. Their chicken is pretty scrumptious and always on point. Everyone knows about their garlic sauce which they are always so generous to give you extras. Unfortunately I think their salads are definitely overpriced if you are looking for some greens. If you are looking for fast food, but a bit more on the healthy side, Zankou is a solid option. read more

I used to come here all the time with my dad and sister after our soccer practices. I don't come as often bc I don't eat meat anymore, but if I get a craving for hummus and tabouleh this is my favorite place for a quick lunch. The inside looks the same as it did 10 years ago but it's all good bc their food never disappoints. I saw some people complaining about lack of customer service, but my experiences are always great. I LOVE this place! Every time I have gone (and I go once a week which contributes to a total of $40 per month), I have been really satisfied with what I order. the best chicken ever! full of flavor- and the chicken falls off the bone! And if you need more flavor- they give you a side of garlic spread just in case! it is THE BEST! Their lula kebab (ground beef) if flavorful and juicy- not dry like at some other places. Their tabouli is OK. I personally would like it to have more tomatoes. As for the hummus. pretty standard hummus. I think they keep the hummus plainer in flavor to supplement the garlicky chicken. Their chicken schawarma (wrap) is good- BUT- the pita bread wrapping always flakes (i think? from them toasting it) and so by the time youre halfway done eating it, it falls apart. Regardless, every main entree is packed with flavors that i come here often. Parking is a little tough and spaces are TIGHT. This place is always busy and open late. amazing service and food, this place is a delicacy of Mediterranean food. the kabob plates literally feeds like two people since its so much food. they cook the meat pretty good as in like a restaurant that you would pay a whole lot more for but for a fraction or the price. love the fresh ingredients and the quality of the meat. I got a beef and lula skewer and it was deliocious. the garlic paste is the bomb, don't know what they put it in but it is like butter which they probably use. read more

The chicken here is excellent. My favorite has been the Chicken Tarna plate, it's amazing. The pita bread is so fresh and that garlic sauce is to die for. U want crispy flavorful chicken then this is no longer the spot . I've beeen going to the original Zankou in Glendale for almost 20 years and it's just not the same. Especially anaheim location where it seems theyve all but given up on trying to make good food. Garlic sauce is best in southern california. All others are pretenders when it comes to the sauce. Unfortunately their chicken is no longer king because the owners have obviously become complacent. New king is "Chicken Maison" because Zankou without the garlic paste is nothing more then plain dry chicken. read more
