I have been coming to 13 coins for over 30 years! This was my first time at this location. Located next to both stadiums so that's a plus after a game. They quoted us a 45 minute wait time but we got seated in 15 minutes another plus. Staff was attentive and very nice! Appetizer of the steamed clams in pesto broth 9/10 it tasted great just wish there was more clams. I love how they give the free veggie munchie tray with bread 10/10. My husband got the steak David with filet mignon top with crab and hollandaise sauce, the steak was cooked to perfection so tender and full of flavor 10/10. I usually always order the "Believer" which is chicken parmesan in cream sauce with spaghetti, it's been consistent for years. This time though they must have changed things because it was quite different then it used to be. The chicken portion is way smaller than it used to be and not as thin. The chicken wasn't too tender and quite hard to cut with a steak knife. The cream sauce lacked flavor and they serve it now with grilled veggies which it never used to have. Honestly it was sad they changed the recipe, it's not even called the "believer" anymore. Wish I would have ordered something else 5/10. My children's meals were large and tasty though! My daughter's Mac and cheese was homemade and came with a large platter of fresh fruit, which was great! I just feel like some of the quality has gone down. I also remember they used to make their own cheesecake in house and it was the most amazing cheesecake I'd ever eaten, well they don't do that anymore, they get it from somewhere else. Honestly pretty surprised at the low ratings on this place. I get that it is a bit pricey and often crowded and smokey (part of the ambiance for me). Service is typical top notch. Food is well done if a bit expensive. A fun environment to eat and have a few drinks before or after a ballgame. read more

They're happy hour is good however do not order the Philadelphia prime rib. It was nasty. It's very very salty and for $26 totally not worth that I would never ever refer anybody here. read more

We went to 13 Coins on a Sunday evening and were seated quickly at the seats facing the kitchen, which we thoroughly enjoyed (though they do get very warm if you're facing the cooktops!). Tyler was our server and he was a delight! Attentive, friendly, funny, and had excellent food recommendations. Would definitely recommend sitting in his section :) The food and drinks were delicious - we both had cocktails and they are always good at 13 Coins. I had the french toast which came with really good bacon, and my husband had the veal parm which he said was delicious. We had the carrot cake for dessert (Tyler's recommendation) and it was amazing. We go here for breakfast every home Seahawks home football game, and we were happy until this 2025 season. The food is getting worse and worse. Our food, on Sunday, was not made to order, in fact only two of the entrées were served to order. All of the plates of food were served COLD, very disappointing from this Seattle iconic restaurant. Reserved a nice table in the main dining room. Given a super-tiny table with a wall against the other side of the table. It should not even be a guest table. Hubby ordered the Monte Cristo with a side of a maple syrup and I had the Chicken Piccata with a side of spaghettini and ordered the lobster mac & cheese to share. We sat at the counter and watched the chefs perform their magic. The food came out delicious, hot with generous portions. Everything was flavorful and prepared well. We ended our meal with a slice of carrot cake. We're always interested in carrot cake especially if there's pineapple and nuts in it. Pineapple was advertised as being included in the cake, but in this instance, the pineapple were two pieces served on the side. Hubby was very happy with the hefty sized Monte Cristo, as he was only able to eat half. Came to 13 coins for new years for dessert. They were able to get us a table even though we were here for only their sweets. And oh man were they good. We had the carrot cake, cookie extreme, fried ice cream, chocolate mouse, chocolate decadence and the classic coins cheesecake. My favorite was the cookie extreme. A baked to order cookie served with chocolate fudge and whipped cream. Freshly baked cookie was so good. The other really good one was the fried ice cream. The hazelnut sauce and the caramelized bananas paired perfectly with the fried ice cream. Definitely recommend trying the desserts read more

My husband and I ate dinner here when we stayed in Seattle for a Seahawks playoff game. The atmosphere was wonderful. At first I was unsure how I felt about being sat at the bar area (after waiting) but it was fun to watch the chefs cook! My chicken Alfredo was the BEST I've EVER had! What a disappointment! I was there with a group of 5 and knew no one. I inquired where the group was located at the check-in desk and the woman there vaguely pointed me in the direction of the group. I asked if she could possibly accompany me since I wasn't sure exactly where I was supposed to go. She wouldn't. Next, I ordered some broccolini- a small dish full and what I thought was a side salad. Both were meh and mediocre- salad drenched in dressing and the broccolini tough. I ate maybe half of it and the whole shebang cost me $25. This was my Christmas dinner. It seemed like my dining companions liked their food, but this was truly forgettable. The downstairs restroom, lacked both soap and paper towels. This was at 4 PM. I realize that 13 Coins is a Seattle institution, that things may not have gone as well as they could for the restaurant on Christmas, but this whole experience was so disappointing. We got the French toast with bacon and ham and cheese French toast. The toast was really good. They place us on the bar side of the restaurant and we got served right away. Ok so this used to be a favorite and we would have given it a 4 or 5 in the past. Things change - but we haven't made it here this soccer season and today won't bring us back for a long time. We have had so-so service after being seated and the appetizer crispy Brussels sprouts were... not crispy, not hot and not really even cooked. And missing the bacon we ordered on them. Our first time staying in the Embassy hotel and we needed a place to eat because we didn't want to go out anymore. I'm so glad we came here. I had a cup of the French onion soup, Chicken Marsala, & the carrot cake for dessert. French onion soup was very delicious. The cheese topping, onions, pieces of bread along with the soup itself... great flavors married into one small dish. Crazy Ono! The chicken Marsala with risotto was perfect! The chicken was so well prepared I used a spoon to cut it. Risotto was perfectly al dente as it should be-no mush, no crunch. The Marsala was well balanced and did not overpower the chicken. And the kicker... the CARROT CAKE. Our server Joel (Hope i spelled his name right) tipped me on that since the fried ice cream wasn't available. I have never tasted such a delicious carrot cake in my like! Usually it's to veggie tasting or too dry but this one was broke da mouth! I came in to pick up a to-go order and ended up standing at the host stand for about 10 minutes without being acknowledged. The restaurant wasn't very busy and there were plenty of servers around, yet no one said they'd be with me shortly. A chef eventually noticed me waiting and said something, which prompted the hostess to come over. Unfortunately, there was no apology for the wait. When I told her I was picking up a to-go order, she didn't ask for my name and immediately grabbed a bag. We really enjoyed this restaurant, especially the service. Alan did a wonderful job taking care of us (thanks for the creme brulee dessert!). We were very impressed by most everything. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the scallops were cooked perfectly, the sauces were amazingly delicious, and I would love to have been able to give this place five stars. Unfortunately, the shrimp in both of our dishes was way overcooked. You could hear the plate crashing against the shrimp when you bang the shrimp against it, which should never happen. You would think a place like this would know well enough not to cook shrimp until it's completely dry and hard. Otherwise, a really nice experience. read more
