Our server was super friendly and accommodating for my food allergy. You have to park in the shopping center parking structure so allow yourself a bit of extra time to find a parking spot. This is a super cute/vibey spot I would recommend for a cutesy friends dinner or brunch or even a date night as well. Aesthetics are super cute inside. We've been here a few times before, which is why this experience was especially disappointing because the service and quality have never been like this. The food came out warm instead of fresh and hot, and the glass and silverware were dirty. I also requested bottled water, but after it was poured, another waiter came over and poured tap water into the same glass. About 15 minutes later, the same mistake happened again. There was clearly bottled water on the table, so this should not have happened twice. Overall, this visit did not meet expectations. read more

Arrived at 11:30am when the restaurant first opened. Let me say that the hostess that greeted us so warmly and with such gracious friendliness really made our day! She was so genuinely enthusiastic about us being there for lunch it reminded me of the old school customer service experience at any fine dining establishment. The restaurant is beautiful with a lovely view of the bay. They have heaters throughout in case people get chilly. The booths are the vintage velvet aesthetic. I got the famous-on-IG pot pie that is only served Mondays and Tuesdays. It's a big production when they bring it to the table. Can easily be shared it was very filling. Whenever anyone asks me for recommendations I always recommend this place as one of LBs finest It's located at 2nd and pch which is a great location with other shops and restaurants. It has a really gorgeous view overlooking the marina with beautiful windows (come during the sunset) The bar is also stunning with some of the best drinks and one of my favorite espresso martinis I recently came here with my eating partner in crime, Kara, for her birthday We had already eaten so we just wanted some light snacks and drinks (one of the best burgers in Long Beach is also here. So come hungry) We ended up getting seated right away Making a reservation is really easy and highly recommended They pay attention to detail and put happy birthday on the menu Each time I've came we've had outstanding service and the staff is all very very knowledgeable about the menu and suggestions We went with the truffle fries and a pizza which were delicious (they brought us out 3 different sauces with the fries) again, we had already eaten and mostly came for the drinks. But, if you do come hungry, GET THE BURGER, you won't regret it! We had a great experience! Our waiter was incredible and we had a really nice booth tucked away in the corner by the fireplace. I ordered the chicken with the pasta substitute as per the waiter's recommendation. It was delicious! Usually I don't like ordering chicken because it's never that great but this chicken dish is super flavorful! I highly recommend. The only annoying part of my experience (which may not be the restaurants' fault so I didn't dock a star) was that they do not validate parking. So after the 2 hours complimentary parking be prepared to pay for parking. Our friend who lives in the area told us right outside the lot is free street parking that would have saved us a good $25. We were happy. We were pleased. We were impressed! First time at A PCH... We did not know what to expect but everything was pretty darn lovely. Beautiful restaurant with gorgeous views of sunset over the marina. Interesting, intriguing and mouthwatering menu options. Excellent service, We shared the duck liver pate which was a treat... My husband had an excellent salmon dish and I enjoyed the "dirty pasta "which had a duck Ragu. All the portions were impressive! Definitely not skimping on portion sizes because it's an upscale restaurant... In fact I had to pack home half of my dinner and will enjoy it later! Drinks were sophisticated and enjoyable... especially sitting in our cozy booth looking out over the sunset. When we finally got to deer we could not resist the delicious apple tart with ice cream. Even the coffee was excellent... We tipped our server well because she had done an excellent job. As we left, the bar seemed crowded and very lively. We went here for our anniversary and they gave us a menu that said 'Happy Anniversary', which was a really nice touch. The place itself is cozy and classy, perfect for a romantic dinner or a night out. I got the Scottish salmon and it was hands down the best salmon I've ever had in my life. My wife ordered the chicken piccata and it was just as good, super flavorful and cooked perfectly. The chefs know what they're doing, the staff and hosts were great, and even the manager was walking around making sure everything was running smooth without interrupting folks meals. Very classy, upscale vibe for sure. They also have a free photo booth, which is such a cool idea if you want to grab a memory before heading out. Great spot! First of all, the service was great. Immediately the hostess was so nice. She greeted us and helped us find a table where I would have a good view of the football game on tv and stay warm. Then our server was very nice and knowledgeable. Afterwards our bartenders at the bar were so friendly and nice. That made for a really good experience. The restaurant is chic and trendy but you don't have to dress up. Love Long Beach that way! There is bread service which is much appreciated. We started with the octopus (amazing and perfectly cooked) with the lobster roll (I wasn't crazy about it-didn't think it was anything special but my friend really liked it). Then we had the pasta with duck ragu (very good and a large portion) and the Cesar salad (standard, nothing special but solid). The best part? If you go to the bar after for a "nightcap", it's half off your cocktail! I think just one though and your server needs to tell the bartender. What an awesome way to end the night! read more

Came here for a summer dinner. Service was actually quite good - it's a shame the owners and management are doing everyone dirty pretending to know anything about food and restaurant design on any par with their pricing. You'll realize something is off the moment you walk into the restaurant - this is prime waterfront real estate, yet more than half the seating and the bar are blocked off from the view. Poorly chosen seating arrangements and design makes it feel like two entirely different restaurants - a classy open dining area with natural light where you can take in the sunset...and a gaudy dark dive bar with oversized booths and awkward lighting. I had the unfortunate experience of sitting at a dark, unnecessarily tall, booth for four...where an overhead spotlight shown directly down on my head, whilst the center of the table was dark...clearly consistent with the overall lack of attention to detail. Most importantly lacking is menu ideation and execution - nothing is original, unusual, or exceptional - so why are the prices? Did the head chef go to culinary school or just work at Acapulco for a few years? Such a low effort menu could be compensated for with excellent execution, but salads, pastas, and fish we all tried were average or below in taste/execution. To add insult to the injurious pricing of this pedestrian fair, the portions are laughably small. See my 3oz of Halibut for $60 - it was probably 2oz after being cooked and was paired with a measly 1/3cup of risotto, three baby carrots and a teaspoon of avocado. Screw me, right??! 2 stars for the attentive server. I can pay half this for same or better food with larger portions at dozens of other restaurants in LB. Won't be back. read more

Still expensive but the fish tacos and the pizza happy hour menu are very good. Spicy pizza and fancy pizza are both great. There's no beer on tap here and it's limited selections so be prepared for that. Lots of wine and cocktails options though. The worst experience I had was when no server approached us for 10 minutes. I went to the front to complain, and a server was sent over gradually. Our server was really nice and tried to make Mother's Day pleasant for me, thank you. When we asked for our bill, we were offered half off because of the bad experience we encountered. I told the manager that it was unacceptable to us because we went there to have a good dining experience not free food. My husband and I are both professionals and it was not our intention to complain and receive free food. Please know and coach/educate your team including managers, that people complain not to get free food or a reduced bill. A decent service and dining experience will suffice for most people's lives. What a fabulous addition to 2nd & PCH! I came here with a couple friends around 5:15pm on a Saturday & it was definitely busy. I would recommend trying to make a reservation in advance. Our reservation was for outdoor seating which is basically still indoor seating but with an outdoor view (big windows to see outside). Beware the sun might be in your eyes for a little if you sit in this area (their blinds don't go all the way down). Once the sun set it was no problem though. To start, we got their whipped feta which had heirloom tomatoes, saffron honey, basil, sumac & housemade pita to dip it in. It's a similar vibe to the whipped eggplant from Elephanté if you've been there before. For drinks my friend and I got the PCH margarita which is basically a spicy margarita. It was a little spicier than I expected but if you like spicy margs you'll love this one. For entrees I got the fancy pizza with the arugula on the side. It has pesto, burrata, prosciutto, arugula, honey and balsamic. This was one of the better pizzas I've had & I would totally get it again. My friend ordered the cacio e pepe pasta and rated it an 8/10. My other friend ordered a caesar salad and added chicken to it. The restaurant is very modern and cute & a little added bonus is they have a free photo booth inside. Unfortunately the restaurant does not validate for parking but the first 90 minutes are free if you park in the general 2nd & PCH lot. Sometimes you can find free parking on the outside area if you're lucky, but weekends can get busy. I'm looking forward to coming here again and trying some of their other offerings! read more

Definitely consider A PCH for celebrations. Finally found out what was in this corner of 2nd & PCH. Parking is ample, you can go shopping after, and there's ice cream at this plaza. Made reservations for 2 and got seated promptly when we arrived. Reservations were made on OpenTable and you can leave notes for the restaurant. Service was great, our server was very knowledgeable and had recommendations ready. We ordered the 2oz Japanese wagyu, the ribeye steak, broccolini, and mashed potatoes. The wagyu was cooked just right and everything they had on the plate to pair with it really amplified how good it tasted. Of the two sides, the potatoes were better. They have 1/2 off wine Wednesdays and there's even a cute complimentary photo booth inside the restaurant. Would definitely come again. read more

Fabulous Friday night at A PCH. First time visit and it didn't disappoint. Reservations for 5:30 so we caught last 30 min of sip and savior (aka happy hour) and got a few discounts on drinks and apps. Make sure to check out the cool photo booth for free in the bar near bathroom, must stop! Let me start to say our service was amazing, from hostess, buss service and of course our amazing server Alexandra W. Everyone was attentive and courteous and really made the night complete. App time... whipped feta. Wow this will be attempted for my next cheese plate for sure. The salty feta was topped with blistered tomatoes and wonderful honey and lemon sauce that all mixed perfectly with some warm fresh pita. Great deal for $12 at Happy Hour. Grilled octopus also a happy hour special for $20. It has a lot of other stuff like veggies, potato and chorizo. I wasn't a big fan of the potatoes since they felt like filler but the flavor is amazing and I 100% order it again. 6 oysters- they were fresh, west Coast with a great homemade cocktail sauce. Can't complain. Drinks were flowing. Whiskey drinks for myself included "Yellow stoned"which was an elevated penicillin and "summertime in the lbc" which was a much fruitier grapefruit soda mix. It was a refreshing summertime drink but too sweet for me the yellow stoned will be my go to! My hubby tried "pear'd up" a pear vodka drink and "wild peach" which was a less peachy Bellini. I don't do sweet so both were a lot for me, liked the pear better and he did too but he finished both, so not too bad. He also finished with the espresso martini at the end of the night and they gave option of creamy or more coffee forward. He would try creamy next time. Still good but strong. Oh that's right more food... skirt steak medium rare served with fingerling potatoes and broccolini,served on a red pepper sauce. To start, steak was cooked perfectly. I prefer a little more salt but the sauce made up for it and tend to lean toward salty side. Hubby loved it and veggies were cooked perfect and it was nice to have a complete meal. I think it was $45 ? Highly suggested! Cacio e Pepe with fresh made pasta. It was excellent, not super traditional as the sauce serves a little creamier and loose compared to others but it was wonderful flavor and loved the bit of citrus. The quality of the fresh pasta will make we try their dirty pasta dish next time. $25 great deal. Are you full yet? Basque cheesecake with blueberry compote, fine I guess. No crust with a brûlée like outside, it was fabulous! It don't think the blueberries were even needed but they didn't slow us down. All in all it was a great night with amazing service, comfortable decor, spectacular views and delicious food and drinks. We will be back thanks to the kindness of our amazing server. Second time coming to A PCH. Came here last year for Mother's Day with my sister; and we liked it so much that we decided to come back again this year. The ambiance, views, drinks and food were great. Their service was a bit slow this time. It was Mother's Day, so perhaps that's why. We did experience a slight misunderstanding that was appropriately handled by the manager Tina. Thank you Tina for clarifying the situation for my sister and I.
