I always been coming here these people are awesome, they mostly have your food ready and everything prepared on time, I'm writing a review for this specific time I went. I ordered a combo and they gave me alot of extra food, they hooked it up I guess just because. So I asked for Mac and cheese in replacement of the fries but they gave both, so it seems like that was just a free addition. I am from Downey and this is hands down the best hot chicken joint that exists around! I have introduced this place to 4 friends who now frequently come often. The prices can be dissuading at first, but don't let it stop you! They give you an insane amount of food and I always end up bringing it home with me. Also, it is good. The first time coming here was not the best experience. As we entered the restaurant it was pretty cramped. The tables were just very close to the center of the aisle where everyone would walk. We then ordered the food and thought it would come out at a decent time. We then picked a table to sit and it wasn't even stable. The table would just keep on rocking from the slightest movement.For the food it would come out around 45 minutes later, mind you we are starving at this point. We watched so many people get their orders before us and most of them came after us so we thought we were being ignored but I guess they were just slow. The food was decent from the mac and cheese and the toast wasn't the best. The slider and the tender were a bit better than them but I'd say the best thing there that I ate were the fries. They have the heat scale up on the menu board, I asked the person at the counter the difference between mild & medium heat. They said the medium is perfect if you want some kick, so I got the Angry Mac (chicken, & fries swimming in mac & cheese), with medium sauce & took it to go. The macaroni was prepared perfect, the cheese has a good flavor to it as well, not too mild, but not overpowering the dish either. The chicken is nice & tender, the fries by the time I got home were soggy (expected of course) but added some heart to the dish, & the portion is quite healthy as well. As for the sauce, I think the medium is a bit tame in reality. So definitely planning another trip here & going to hit the next degree in heat for sure. I got the mild chicken cause I'm a baby and it was still too spicy for me lol. But it was seasoned very well and so juicy and tender. Rice was good too. It comes with an awesome amount of pickles and a hefty side of coleslaw. Overall the food was pretty good. Only really downside is the parking and the restaurant was a bit disheveled. They have more than enough people in the back and every table was dirty. We we're the only ones in there and we had to clean our own table and they still left all the other tables dirty.
