2023/08/23 - Lunch on a Wednesday morning; we were the first customers in. Restaurant is a small, cute place, but doesn't feel cramped. Our group was vegetarian and had a gluten allergy. Server was knowledgeable about what items are safe for us and very helpful. Any vegetarians should make sure they know that all the curries, except Red Curry, have fish sauce (this is noted on the menu). Summer Rolls were a tasty appetizer - appreciated that the sauce was on the side to be gluten friendly. Pad Thai was good. Vegetables in Basil Sauce weren't my favorite, but others liked them. The real highlight was the Red Curry - compared to other Thai restaurants, the flavor was much stronger. I'm not sure if they use more curry paste or something else, but the result was great! Everything I've tried so far on the menu is great. My favorite go to order is the Heaven Chicken. The chicken is so good alongside with the ginger rice and cucumber. It's so crispy and the soup that comes along with it and is so tasty. I felt the spiciness was perfect with the chili sauce. My other go to is the drunken noodles. You can never go wrong with it. Highly uninspiring and unimpressive, and that is a shame because the concept is cute. It certainly does not help the food is outrageously expensive, so that only made things worse. The three items I got are staples at Thai restaurants, but they miss the mark, sometimes egregiously. The Thai iced tea is the only thing I truly enjoyed, but my two entrees were quite forgettable. Initially I was going to go with the Panang Curry, but who knows what would have happened to me had I gone through with it? It probably would have ended badly. The Drunken Noodles have a minimal kick, and the noodles are highly undercooked. There is not enough flavor and the whole thing seems to taste rather dry and bland, rather than tasty and extravagant. I also found a hint of sweetness in the dish. Huh? That is highly uncharacteristic of this dish. It left me with a bad taste in my mouth despite the decent sized portion. The Tom Yum soup I had is also pretty sweet. There is very little umami flavor to the soup, which is what is supposed to make the soup a powerhouse. Instead, it felt like it was missing key ingredients, despite the plentiful squid and shrimp it came with. At least the soup had plenty of noodles, and unlike the noodles in the Drunken Noodle, these were cooked all the way through. The customer service was spotty too. Clearly they need to hire more people to keep up during a lunch rush. The cute girl behind the counter is not enough to satisfy a big crowd. The verdict? Not returning. read more

I eat here a few times a week. The staff is always fast and friendly. Today I purchased the Duck Tamarind and Thai Iced Tea. The duck comes with, rice, vegetables and a mildly spicy sauce; a perfect meal. I have not had Thai Ice Tea since I was a child. It tasted just as I remembered it as a child. I love Thai food and was excited to try the place that my co-workers often frequent for lunch. The limited indoor seating was packed with customers so we had to place take out orders. The customer service sucked. I am a paying customer and yet it felt like I was an inconvenience for the woman who was obviously overwhelmed by taking orders in person and on the phone while managing the dining room. Nonetheless, my colleagues and I placed our orders. Big surprise! Two of the three orders were incorrect. Although the tickets placed outside of the bags were correct, the meals inside did not match. I ordered the chicken cashew nut and instead received pineapple fried rice. Apples and oranges, not even close.
