    Fried Vegetables Dumplings

My friend and I tried this place for lunch. I think I liked it more than my friend. We were seated immediately. We chose to order from their lunch menu. I got the drunken noodles with taro spring rolls. My friend got the basil chicken with veggie dumplings. I got an order of Thai iced tea. My food was very tasty. My friend liked the flavor but thought the basil chicken was not hot enough. The service was quick--they know a lot of the diners work in the area and have to get back to work. The restaurant is cozy with a few two-person tables. I will go back.

Had tried this spot for lunch twice. The first time I got a pad see ew, it was okay, a little small portion for its price. The second time I ordered a chicken thai fried rice. There was too much scallion in the dish, I ate a bunch and still had so much of the stalk in it that it became overwhelming. The dish had good wok flavor, but that was it.

Great delivery again! Lovely curry and the Thai iced tea was refreshing. Still our go-to in FiDi.

It was mid day and I was hungry for Thai. The decor was homely so I decided to give Aroy Dee a try. Wasn't sure what to order so I decided to grab some stewed chicken noodle soup. Figured it was the perfect light, yet delicious option. I WAS RIGHT!!! The chicken was tasty and tender. Great prices, not very many seats so don't expect to be seated, just hope for favor . Servers are super attentive and the food comes out fresh and quickly. 2 thumbs up and highly recommend if you're in the area. I'll be back to try much more on the delicious menu

I was going to gate keep this place but people need to know how good it was! I've been thinking of this curry since I had it. The flavors were next level. I added the crispy chicken which perfectly soaked up the broth curry. It was amazing and filling! The Thai tea was life changing. The seating inside could have been more but vibes were good in there. This at first felt like a place people just DoorDash but it's so much better than that!

This hole in the wall is a true gem. The food was so delicious, the flavors were so well balanced and the vegetables were so fresh. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Small shop but more seating than most places in the area. Table service or take out. The server was really sweet and ga e us 3 different menus each. One with the luch Set special, another with single item lunch special and then the regular menu. My friend regularly goes here and suggested her favorite Basil Fried rice with chicken. I thought I should get something different that way I could 2 dishes instead. She said she'd only every had the fried rice and chicken wings. We ordered that and I wanted the Pad Thai with beef. Beef was not on the lunch special and the waitress said it would be from the regular menu with a much bigger portion. Didn't want that much so I got the chicken instead. The chicken wings were perfection, flavorful and crispy outside and juicy inside. The sauce it came with was delicious . $13 for 5 kinda pricey though especially since they weren't whole wings and were on the smaller side. The Spicy Basil Fried Rice was exceptional. It didn't even need the chicken. Great balance of heat, savory spucea and Thai basil. The portion was huge too. Enjoyed that the most. Honestly the Pad Thai was mid. I was disappointed, this is one one the specialties and it didn't hit any high notes. The chicken was very dry and tough. The guy beside me had Pad Kee Mao , I should have gone with that cause it looked delicious and he kept telling me its the best thing he ever had. Overall a lovely shop, with great service, and the shop was clean. I didn't see a bathroom but also forgot to make a point of looking for one.

Very good pad Thai, especially with hot sauce! Not a very big restaurant, just a few tables if you want to eat here.

Ordering Lunch Chicken Cashew Nut lunch special

I was deciding on what to get around my workplace and decided to settle for Thai food at Aroy Dee Thai Kitchen. The store front seemed very inviting that got me hooked for Thai food that day. What a cute and cozy place to get lunch at! Place dimly lit with cute square tables for couples and from the moment you enter the place, you are faced with this long stretch of cute squared tables for couples to dine in. A very dimly lit place to create that romantic and cool vibe. The decor that they have looked very vintage and hip. Even their menus have cute drawings to make their dishes appealing. I ordered the chicken cashew nut lunch special and didn't have to wait long despite a couple of people ahead of me. I took the lunch special back to work and since it was raining, I was happy on how they package my lunch special in a stapled brown paper bag along with a plastic bag. Double packaged to hold the contents in place in case of a mishap! Once I got back to the office, I opened the bag to see a box with two compartments. One compartment contained the white rice and the other contained the cashew chicken but. I love the white rice and how it was puffy and cooked. Not too dry or overly wet. It was cooked right and very addicting to the point that I cleaned off every rice off the plate! The chicken cashew nut on the other hand was not that seasoned in my opinion. There were a couple of pineapples that tasted bland and looked overly steamed! I expected the plate to be watery and drenched in sauce and didn't expect it to be kind of dry. It did look healthy that it wasn't too wet in sauce and without all the extra condiments that you expect in Thai food dishes. Cashew which was the main ingredient did not taste like much and the chicken was tender but lacked the extra flavor and sauce I was hoping. Overall, the plate looked very healthy and not overly drenched in sauce which I didn't expect.

Papaya salad, basil fried rice, & pad see ew. Soooooo good.

Amaaaazing food, fast and friendly service!! Definitely worth a visit. Their Thai tea is BOMB.

10/24/23 We ordered online for pickup and 2 of us went to pick it up. It was nice little walk from 3WTC. We almost walked passed the restaurant. It's so small! There was only a few small tables. Definitely glad we did take out. We all liked our meals. I got the Pad See Ew Chicken. My go to for Thai restaurants. Not the best I've ever had but it was still good. Will order again. :)

Pad See Ew w Chicken and edamame

My friends and I stopped by this Thai restaurant after a place we were trying to go closed early for the day. We were a group of five. We were really happy to find this spot. This restaurant is very tiny, but they added a stool to our table to accommodate our group. It's a tight space, but cozy and cute in a hole in the wall charming way. The servers here are pretty kind. If you need the bathroom you'll have to go next door and let them know you're a customer of Aroy Dee Thai. It's a single gender neutral bathroom next door. Everyone in my group really loved their dishes. My friend's curry order was amazing. I thought my pad see ew was just ok. We ordered a side of edamame for the table which was yummy. One of our friends devoured his pork noodle soup. My other friend really liked her heaven chicken and ginger rice. My boyfriend adored his sun dried marinated pork. While I found my dish to be just fine, everyone else really enjoyed their food. If you're a group under four, this is a nice spot to stop for lunch.

The service was friendly, attentive, and the food arrived quickly even they were a full house and rush lunch hour. Very quick and our server was amazing! We started with mango salad and chicken satay as these were the most popular. Their salad was purely mango with cashews and cherry tomatoes. Their chicken satay was also to die for! It was very flavorful and was perfect and went well with the salad. Their pad thai was so perfect it brought me back to when we visited Thailand few years ago. The crispy pork belly was a standout for me perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, with just the right amount of richness. (Reminds me of Filipino Lechon Kawali) The fresh bean sprouts, scallions, and squeeze of lime balanced everything out beautifully. The soft shell crab in creamy curry egg sauce was also a must try! And lastly, we tried their mango sticky rice!! Absolutely no words... IT WAS DIVINE!!! If you're looking for authentic Thai food with elevated presentation, generous portions, and excellent service, Mitr Thai is definitely worth the visit. I'll absolutely be coming back to try more dishes!

Came here to eat before watching Broadway. We booked 5:00pm. When we arrived ~4:50pm there was…read morealready a line out the door waiting for them to open. I'm surprised people queued and surprised they actually lock people out. They have a policy of only seating whole parties. My friends were literally stuck amongst the world cup crowds in Times Square such that they struggled to get through and had to detour when they did. They have a 10 minute grace period, but my friends wouldn't make it in time, so I asked if they'll let us sit first as long as we start ordering immediately. They said ok as long as we returned the table by 6:30pm. I thought the 1.5 hour seating time was based on when we actually get seated which considers the grace period. Anyways the timing ended up being sufficient. I think this spot is good for pre-theatre dining due to the large storefront and quick service, but I wouldn't necessarily choose to come here for the sake of coming. Their menu is extensive and slightly confusing given the way they organize by regions in Thailand. I'm uncultured so I won't know what's the difference between each region. It's easier for me to comprehend if the menu was categorized by the ingredients used or size of the dish. Most dishes do not have a photo/drawing included so it was hard to skim through all the options. Their online ordering was way more helpful since it had photos. It was so hard to look for the corresponding line item in the printed version. We ordered: green curry, kao soy kua neur, khao mok neua, curry puff, kaeng hung lay, gai gor lae, and mango sticky rice. Most of the stuff tasted alright without much standout. We requested mild/little spicy for everything and it was true to request. The spiciest dish was probably the green curry, but I think it's tolerable if you eat it with rice. Crowd favorite was the kao soy kua neur which is braised beef with egg noodles. I like how tender the beef is and how chewy the noodles were. My friends didn't like the khao mok neua biryani because of its dryness, but I think it's meant to be like that. I appreciate the spices in it, not too strong but still sufficient. I don't like how they don't have a printed menu for desserts and relied on the servers to recite out what's available. We couldn't hear everything properly and resorted to referencing the online ordering menu for the dessert options. Glad they're the same. Mango sticky rice was the highlight of the night for me. The mango size could be slightly bigger, because right now it's much smaller than the rice. However, I enjoyed the rice a lot. It was hot, fragrant, and not too soft. It definitely felt comforting. The coconut milk on the side had rice puffs (?) in it which gave additional texture.

The restaurant was busy and I was by…read moremyself so I was happy to sit at the bar, and was attended to by the most sweet bartender ever. Very polite, professional and attentive. I first ordered the crispy spring rolls, which were very good. For my main I had the Massaman Curry. Now folks, this is my favorite curry of all time -- actually one of my favorite foods of all time -- and while it's common in LA where I used to live, it's not as common where I live now, in the Bay Area. And the restaurants that do carry it usually do not make it right and it's not very good. I am used to Massaman in the traditional preparation where it's more like a beef stew made with chunks of beef and needs to cook overnight. When done right it is the most aromatic curry ever -- it's almost like an aphrodisiac! -- and the beef comes out oh so tender. Usually if places have this curry but then offer a choice of protein, then it generally is not cooked properly, and that is actually how they prepare it at SaiTong. But because of such great reviews I decided to take a chance and try it. Well, let me tell you, it was definitely not the norm...it was absolutely delicious! I had it with chicken (they serve breast as default), and the chicken soaked up the curry really nicely. I also asked for there to be no onions, which I think alters the flavor of a curry too much. It does include the traditional potatoes and peanuts, and the potatoes were fine and cut into nice little chunks, the peanuts actually were thrown in raw.. what I think is the more traditional way which is to actually burn the peanuts a little bit, but that's okay, it didn't take down the dish any. Their brown rice is of the very dark kind, which I like, and goes so well with the curry. Service was wonderful from the bartender but was also provided by the rest of the staff and everyone was so nice. I left there feeling so satisfied, and cannot wait to go back and try some other dishes.
