This restaurant is fabulous! It has the perfect view of the beach and is a great spot to grab a drink and watch the sunset. The food was absolutely delicious, and since it's tapas-style, you can order a variety of dishes to share with the table. Came back to this restaurant for new years and it was a good decision!! I ultimately came back because of the chocolate cake so I wanted to try more dishes they have while I was there. Sadly from the new dishes I tried I did not like the rainbow Beets or the filet too much. The beets tasted super sour because of the sauce and the filet was pretty chewy. My husband and I love this restaurant! We eat here frequently and like to bring friends and family here for a reasonably priced, super tasty dinner. IMO there isn't a bad dish on the menu. The tapas style makes it easy to share and there is something for everyone on the menu. "The best cake" is an absolute MUST for dessert! I definitely enjoyed my visit to Bacari. The seating area is really cute and has a nice vibe. The waiters were all incredibly nice and helpful when walking us through the menu as well! I started with the Aloe There! cocktail, which was very light and refreshing. Definitely recommend if that is a flavor profile you enjoy. In terms of food, I really enjoyed the crudo, it was very zesty and flavorful, which complemented the lightness of the fish. I recommend getting this as well as the watermelon salad, which was delicious - the whipped feta was super creamy and went very well with the sweet watermelon. The tripoline pasta was another dish we really enjoyed - you could tell the pasta was homemade, and the sauce was uniquely creamy with a hint of spice. We also got the scallop medallions, which I was unfortunately disappointed by. The sauce was incredible and I appreciated the sear on the outside, but the scallops themselves were a bit too chewy / may have been overcooked. Finally, we got the fried chicken sliders and the bacari burger, which were both good but not mind blowing. I really enjoyed my experience at Bacari and will probably be back! Some dishes are better than others, and I recommend going, but would not suggest getting the scallops, and don't think the chicken sliders or the burger were anything special. read more

Bacari MDR helped me put together a last minute dinner party for a large party (15 colleagues and clients). Eddie and the entire events team were extremely responsive to my initial commuinications and immediately put my concerns to rest. They helped me understand the availability, food and drink options and the cost structure. It was clear they weren't trying to nickel and dime me but rather aiming to help focus on making the process seamless and worry-free. They even helped craft a custom menu, with our client's logo, which was a really nice touch. Their menu allows for such a great variety of choices (hot, cold, main/side dishes and dessert) and our entire party left completely full and raving about the experience. Unlike some places that skimp out on family style portions for large groups, they served more than enough for each course. Some of the highlights were the shawarna tacos, the beet salad, brussel sprouts and the Asian Pear & brie pizza was incredible! We had someone with a nut allergy so even though I had selected a dessert with nuts, they brought out chocolate cake as an alternative. Our server, Selah was awesome! She had a great attitude and was incredibly attentive to our large group. She and the entire staff ensured all the food and drinks came out in a timely manner. The overall vibe of Bacari is awesome! Our clients were located nearby so it was easy to get to and we sat out in the covered patio area, which was full of energy (and space heaters to keep everyone toasty). Three locations down, five to go, and Bacari continues to impress. We visited Bacari PDR this past Monday to celebrate a young cousin's graduation from Otis College of Art and Design. It was another home run in the Bacari lineup. Unlike the tree-filled patios at the Silverlake and W. 3rd Street locations, this one is just a block from the beach, making it ideal for a stroll before or after dinner. Our server, Micai, delivered excellent service. He paced the meal perfectly, ensuring our shared plates arrived in an order that made sense and never felt overwhelming. His attention made the experience feel curated and relaxed. The Burrata Caprese was superb. The burrata was rich and creamy, paired with fresh basil walnut pesto and sweet, perfectly ripe heirloom cherry tomatoes. We each had our own serving of the chicken sliders, and they were as good as ever. These aren't ordinary fried chicken sandwiches. They're deeply flavorful, tender, and topped with aioli, pickled fennel, and cabbage slaw on soft Hawaiian rolls. The stuffed mushrooms were another hit. They were filled with ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan, finished with more of that basil walnut pesto and a touch of crispy sage. Every bite was indulgent without being too heavy. The Mediterranean street corn was the one dish that didn't quite match the high bar set by everything else. That may be due to my own bias, as I was still thinking about the Mexican-style grilled corn I had just a few nights before. The sea bass remains my favorite dish on the menu. It's perfectly cooked and served with charred shishito peppers, pomegranate molasses, and grilled lemon. I should have ordered two. Dessert at Bacari is always worth saving room for. It's even worth making a special trip just for that. "The Best Cake," made with medjool dates, brown sugar caramel, and crispy bacon, is outstanding. We also tried the double chocolate cake with hazelnut brittle for the first time, and it was just as memorable. The four of us couldn't pick a favorite. Bacari PDR carries forward the thoughtful hospitality, imaginative food, and warm vibe I've come to associate with this restaurant group. Note we parked in a residential area on Vista Del Mar, which you should be sure to pay attention to signs because not every house seems to want spaces taken. Very lovely view of the ocean as you walk down the road. Mocktails: I forgot the exact names of what we ordered but the watermelon one was really tasty with tajin and refreshing. The one with coffee was also well flavored although on the sweeter side. Crab cake benedict: Met expectations. Creamy and filled with crab. Brussel sprouts: On the saltier side but cooked to a nice crisp. Shrimp & polenta: This is probably my favorite dish out of everything we tried. Very well seasoned and buttery polenta. Beef burek: The pastry is so flaky in a good way. Interesting set up paired with tomato puree and eggs. Malabi: Pretty unique dessert. Ok. I'm obsessed with Bacari - every location is impressive. I've been to three of them: Sherman Oaks, the OG (West Adams), and the one I'm reviewing at this penning, PDR. I was in earlier today with a dear sister-friend of mine in celebration of her bornday. As usual, Bacari seduced us with vibrant, satiating spirits and tantalizing bites! Our tastebuds were singing and dancing, and oh so happy! The food is always curated to perfection and cleverly presented, with fresh produce and all the proper accouterments. Magnificent!!! I have to shout out a few team members, specifically the host at the front - I didn't get their name, but they were lovely and rocking the sweetest tinsel in their hair. Gotta love a little flair . Our servers, Trevor and Tyler, were charming and thoughtful and made all the right recommendations with smiles. We never felt rushed or like a burden - we felt at home. I pay extra for this level of customer service. It's hard to come by these days. Tyler recommended a divine cocktail for our second round and hit the mark on the head! Lastly, the M.A.N., Gaylord! While waiting for the loo to become available, he greeted me and asked if we enjoyed our visit. Of course, I went into immediate jubilee because we were so happy with our visit. I also took a moment to acknowledge him as I noticed him from the other locations. I asked him how he managed to be ubiquitously present regardless of the location I was visiting at any given time. We got a good chuckle about that. I also reminded him how he always leaves such an indelible and genuine impression each time because he does. He looks you in the eyes with intention and makes each guest feel valued. I thanked him for taking great care of my 92-year-old Queen (mama) during a previous visit because I will never forget his grace towards her. Celebrated my wife's 21st birthday here! We wanted a spot in a nice location with shareable eats, dessert options, and drinks. We also needed a reservation fast and soon, this place was able to accommodate all of those parameters. We started with espresso martinis (the one drink she wanted the most for her birthday) and they were pretty good. Not too bitter or sweet, good balance of liqueur, espresso, and cream. Our fantastic waiter (very kind, friendly, and attentive btw, I wish I remembered his name ) not only put grey goose in our martinis, but he then brought us out complimentary birthday glasses of prosecco right afterwards! While enjoying those, our egg pizza and shawarma tacos came out. The tacos were recommended to us by the couple eating beside us. They were both great, definitely recommend both of them. We split those and then were treated to another complimentary birthday treat, this time being bread pudding (a big favorite of my wife so that was a nice surprise) with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a candle. Best bread pudding I've ever had and one of the best desserts I've ever had, so rich and decadent, you HAVE to get it if you visit here. I can't say enough good things about this place. The service was great, the food and drinks were unforgettable, the environment was exciting, and they really made my wife's 21st birthday meal feel special. That was by far the best part. This place is a hidden gem !! Very cozy and inviting . Unfortunately we found it on the last night of our vacation. The service was amazing, attentive and friendly, our server. Trevor was friendly and welcoming. From start to finish every dish was insane. We started with the stuffed mushrooms, then the glazed pork belly.. we also tried the ceviche and the double brie and bacon pizza as if that wasn't enough we were coaxed to try a chocolate bacon cake à la mode with vanilla ice cream. Three of us came to celebrate a friend's bday. We had gone to Bacari on 3rd St, loved it and wanted to try this one. We got a glimpse of the beautiful ocean while walking down a hill to Barcari. We were disappointed that a better view would only be at elevated tables for two. Even at that, the view would show a little of the ocean. Restaurant ought to be elevated for a better ocean view. We were a table of three with no view, but still nice to be outside. Food was delicious as usual. Although the asparagus dish turned out to be a few skinny baby asparagus, the egg on top was delicious. I wouldn't order the asparagus again and would opt for the Brussels sprouts. Service was attentive. Dishes (tapas) are staggered, come as they're prepared and are meant to be shared, so don't expect to all eat your own dishes at once. For example, the fries came and sat for a while. One or two of us would eat our own meals while the other had to wait for hers, then we had to wait for her to finish. We weren't thrilled with this set up. Only one toilet was available for the patrons. Music was turned up in the patio when we arrived at 4pm. We had to ask if it could be turned down a bit, so we could hear each other talk. An 8 oz glass of white wine was $25! We could've bought a bottle. The birthday dessert of my friend's choosing was comped which was generous considering not all restaurants comp birthday desserts nowadays. Had a great time at Bacari for girls drinks and small bites! Would absolutely recommend as a great spot in West LA. Food - had so many delicious bites: ceviche, mushroom tacos, gnocchi, kale salad... everything was absolutely delicious! There was so much on the menu to choose from and we loved that it was all tapas style so we could choose a variety of plates. Drinks - the cocktails were well-crafted and so unique! It was nice to try several different cocktails that were all twists on the usual classics. I especially loved a turmeric and tequila drink on the menu! They do have some bottomless options, although we did not go that route. Service - overall service was average! No complaints, we did have a server in training that night but no issues with that. Ambiance - we sat in the outside patio, tables were a bit close together, but it was still cute. The restaurant is on a hill and parking is very limited, just FYI! Overall, I'd maybe come back with a new group of friends since everything was delicious, but had to lower a star just because of prices.
