Top tier. Interesting space. Brightly and colorful. Spacious and relaxed. It's busy but not claustrophobic. The few downsides are the noise levels that kept me from getting the name of our wonderful server, and the fact that the restrooms are the public ones in the mall. Service was excellent. Our server was wonderful, sharing her recommendations and answering all of our questions. Drinks were refreshing though maybe a bit weak. Food was excellent across the boarded. The handmade pastas had great texture, carrying the sauces well. The eggplant pull-a-parm was a show stopping take on the bloomin onion, with a different vegetable and flavor profile. Eggplant needs to be executed well to avoid both under and overcooking but there was no problem here, with cheese and marinara sauce to round it all out. The chicken scarpariello rigatoni also reminded me of onion rings, in the best way possible. Branzino was cooked well paired nicely with a bright and somehow briny salsa verde. The desserts deserve special mention. The eggplant stunned us into silence once when it arrived, and the tiramisu ice cream did it a second time. Visually stunning with distinct layers, with flavor to match. Cocoa powder and then creamy ice cream. And, to call out the service again, since our server had to disappoint us by telling us they didn't have the affogato service, they made up for it by gifting us the chocolate tart and olive oil gelato as they had somehow heard our deliberations over a 2nd dessert. Nice touch that was very much appreciated. All in, it was an excellent time and a strong showing from the Quality Branded team. I was familiar with their other restaurants already but did learn that Smith & Woll was under the same umbrella too.

Had an early dinner here (5:45 on a Tuesday night) with friends. The dining room was relatively calm and the bar was not too crowded. Service was quick and the waiter was friendly and engaging. She had many suggestions and was free with her opinions. The drinks were great and had just the right amount of bite. They made a killer Aperol Sprtz if you ask me. As for the food, it was good but I wasn't quite blown away like their sister restaurant Limusina. I would easily return however because I did enjoy my meal. Very nice space- Definitely Instagram worthy

5 Stars + I came here on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday and my best friend's birthday. I was a little unsure because of the location as it is in the "Shops at Columbus Circle", which is a small mall. It is next to one of the most prestigious hotels in New York, which is the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. All I can say is "WOW"!!! I am not sure where the last person who wrote a review is living, under a rock, but everything was spectacular. Yes, prices are not cheap, although where can you go in New York City and not spend $35 to $50 on a fish dish? If you go to a diner and eat frozen fish, you will pay for that. Our bill with a generous tip was still more than $100 less than I thought I would have spent. I thought prices were fair, especially considering the overall experience, and the location in Manhattan by Central Park. Bad Roman is a beautiful, chic spot. It is nice to see a restaurant that is as well staffed as they are. Our service was great, even down to the runners who kept our water glasses filled, tables cleaned and wiped down and provided fresh silverware with every course. From the minute we walked in I knew it was going to be great night. There were two people at the host station who greeted us with a smile, our hostess asked if our entire party was here, and was ok with some of them being a few minutes late, as they were looking for parking. They also asked if we were celebrating anything and we informed them it was for both our birthdays. Once everyone was here, we were seated. My friend and I were handed an envelope. In it was a nicely written birthday card for each of us. I thought that was a nice touch! The manager Isaac came over to thank us for coming and said something that will stay with me for a lifetime when thinking about business and restaurants in general. He said "Thank you for coming and for choosing us. You could have gone anywhere to celebrate your birthday and out of all the restaurants in NYC, you choose us". What that tells me is that he and the restaurant do not take us for granted. We were not a number, and the rest of the night proved that. The restaurant is hip and modern; there is a beautiful bar as you walk in. The bathrooms were chic and clean. The tables were spaced out, and you can breathe, you are not on top of each other. As mentioned earlier, they are well staffed and everyone was great. Hat's off to Isaac who really made the night special. He came over several times and each conversation was meaningful. It was not idle conversation, we spoke for a few minutes about food, customer service, and you could see his passion for the customer. Our waiter Roosevelt was also great; he made sure everything was perfect. When asked, he shared his opinion on his favorite dish as did Isaac when we were torn on the selection. I am sure both dishes would have been great although each recommendation was spot on. Now to the food. We did not have a bad dish. Portions were satisfying, with great flavor and each was nicely presented. Here are some must have dishes. For appetizers, the Babka, Pepperoni cups, the Filet Mignon meatballs which can be a side dish or appetizer, the Black Truffle Ricotta, and the Peekytoe Crab Luigi, which has an amazing presentation. Favorite dessert was the Lemon Tartuffe Cheesecake, and the chocolate cake with gelato. Favorite entrees if we had to pick one were the Grilled Pork Chop. They have nice mixed drinks, wine selection, liquor choice, and beers. They also have a great pasta dish selection, and I will try one the next time we come back. For entrees we had the Faroe Island Salmon, the Grilled Pork Chop, and the Filet Mignon topped with Cacio E Pepe Raviolo which you must taste. Another favorite from Isaac is the Roasted Branzino. There are some great side dishes and favorites were the Spicy Brussel Sprouts and the Sweet Snap Peas. I highly recommend Bad Roman, a big shoutout to all their employees who work extremely hard and will be back again. Bad Roman will be one of the restaurants I recommend when asked for a special place to go if you want to have a wonderful time.

Amazing experience as expected from a quality branded restaurant. The service was great and restaurant beautifully decorated. The drinks were great. I really enjoyed the spicy lobster pasta. We also had the pulled eggplant and that was delicious. You can't go wrong here.

Very Cool ambience (aside from having to walk in a shopping center to get to it) and decent service. Food was honestly just ok and at NYC prices. I prob wouldn't go back but I appreciated the experience and trying some place new.

Back for a late night light supper at the bar. The Whipped ricotta is still terrific. The asparagus were expertly prepared and it was a good sized portion. I tried the Lamborghini shot - lambrusco and Midori. It was awful! The bartender provided great service and took it off the bill.

My husband and I had brunch at Bad Roman last Sunday before an opera at the Met (the restaurant is on the third floor of the Shops at Columbus Circle, a great location if you need to be at Lincoln Center after). The restaurant is just as stunning as I expected - definitely maximalist, and the the service was great. We shared: U7 Shrimp Cocktail (with Calabrian aioli); Faroe Island salmon crudo (with honeydew, pickled serrano, and fresh basil); Spicy Gem Caesar (aged parmesan, ciabatta crumbs); chicken scarpariello rigatoni (with hot peppers and sweet sausage); and blood orange sorbetto (with whipped zabaglione). Everything was great. The shrimp could have been a little more tender, but I loved every other dish. That salad is classic and perfectly executed (every little piece of baby romaine was coated just perfectly in their very good Caesar dressing). The rigatoni was unusual (a chicken pasta with a kind of jus rather than a tomato- or cream-based sauce) but totally worked and was still elegant and delicious. The blood orange sorbetto was a great ending to the meal. And that crudo? One of the best I've ever had. As for their drinks, I also enjoyed them. I started with their Tequila Granita (Codigo Blanco, Cointreau, Calabrian honey, and habanero shaved ice), which I really loved after a hot sweaty walk in Central Park. Then, I had a glass of Pinot Gris from California with our meal. My husband had a couple of cocktails with his meal, but one of them for me was something I couldn't have finished if I ordered it (their martini pepperoncini of Grey Goose, pepperoncini brine, and lemon zest was sort of fun but way too strong on the brine for me). I sometimes find restaurants that are so focused on the look of things to be disappointing in the food department - style over substance restaurants. Bad Roman is definitely a lot of style. But I still thought the food was very good. I'd return!

Sat at the bar today 5/23 for an in between lunch/dinner bite and drink. Bartender Brandon was exceptional. He was helpful with the menu, and all around the absolute best. I can see why so many come here to stop for a drink or a snack and say hello to him because he is that friendly and cool. The interior of Bad Roman is huge. The bar has almost a dozen seats or so. Their menu isn't crazy, but it's diverse enough to get you what you need. My salad was crisp, and I look forward to trying their pastas in the future. Service is a stand out here, and I see this establishment doing so well because the personnel are absolutely unmatched.

We came here for dinner to celebrate a special occasion. The restaurant was already busy when we arrived around 5:30 PM and was even more crowded by the time we left. The ambiance had a trendy, eclectic urban vibe. The tequila granita was refreshing, unique, and had just the right amount of spice. We ordered the babka, spicy Caesar salad, and kale mafaldine. The babka was flaky and delicious, while the Caesar salad was equally impressive. The mafaldine was good, though a bit richer than my personal preference. The desserts were the highlight of the meal--the lemon cheesecake and blood orange sorbet were absolutely outstanding. Service was excellent throughout the evening. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience and a great way to celebrate.

Bad Roman was one of my favorite spots in NYC! The service was fast, the vibe was lively and fun. The food was amazing! My favorite was the bread. 10/10 and the salad was super tasty as well. A perfect place to get sides/apps and share with friends! Would recommend.

Came here with friends for dinner and drinks. The ambiance and vibes in here were top notch. The food was great and the staff were kind. Wish they were more attentive. Had fun with friends and would come back again!

It is on the pricer side but it's a nicer place. We got the crudo and calamari for apps. I also got two oysters (super fresh). Crudo and calamari were great as well - would get again! I like the peppers and mini bacon bits in the calamari. Apps are on the smaller side so if you have a group of ppl you prob need to order a bit more. I got the chicken caesar salad (the chicken was grilled perfectly) and the sauce was light! Would def get this again. My husband got the chicken but I think it had too much lemon in the sauce for my taste - very flavorful though. Total for the meal was about ~170 with tip and tax. Presentation is on point and it's very trendy. It's a large spacious layout with nice views of the park (if you're sitting by the window). Food did take some time to come out so keep that in mind if you're on a time crunch. Located on the 3rd floor of columbus circle.

I've been wanting to try Bad Roman for so long and have seen so many posts on social media for it. It was super easy to get a reservation during lunch hours on Saturday, and the restaurant was pretty empty. I was blown away by the gorgeous interior design and just how large the restaurant is. Service was super friendly, and we didnt feel rushed throughout the meal at all. I loooooved the Calamari Casino, and it was my highlight of the meal. It was truly loaded in the best way possible. Cheese, crumbles of meat, chopped peperoncini, green onions, and a spicy aioli were all foreign (but welcomed) ingredients on a calamari for me. Also had the Garlic Babka as a starter, which I would pass on. The bread was dry and the flavors didn't stand out to me much. I had the Rock Shrimp pasta, which was good, but not too memorable. Unfortunately, everyone else at the table complained that their dishes were super salty and oily. We had the Lemon Cheesecake for dessert, which is beautiful! The presentation was beautiful with a chocolate shell that made the cheesecake resemble actual lemons, sitting on a bed of crust crumble. The food was just alright, but I think the service and ambiance of Bad Roman makes up for it. Although not an extraordinary culinary experience, I still think it's a fun time.

The menu has plenty of variety across pastas, seafood, and cocktails, with some unique dishes that made the experience memorable. The drinks were a highlight, and the seafood options stood out the most for me. My Tipsy Tayke: The Fragola Fizz was juicy, fruity, and refreshing. The Forever Summer was another standout, with the smokiness of the mezcal blending really well with the fruit flavors without overpowering them. Both are easy recommendations depending on whether you want something fruity or a little more complex. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Seafood Ravioli Unique, flavorful, and packed with different seafood flavors. The ravioli itself was delicate and had a tendency to fall apart, but the flavor made up for it. Standout: Calamari Crispy, seasoned, and enjoyable. It had a slightly chewy texture, but I still found myself going back for more. The Carpaccio wasn't necessarily for me texture-wise, but I really enjoyed the greens and dressing that accompanied it. The garnish felt intentional and helped bring the dish together. The Pappardelle came with plenty of sauce but could have used more flavor overall. The complimentary bread was also tougher and chewier than I prefer. Desserts: The Lemon Sorbet was easily my favorite dessert. Bright, refreshing, and packed with real lemon flavor. The Mango Sorbet was another refreshing option with a smooth tropical sweetness. The Panna Cotta Cheesecake leaned closer to a mousse in texture and was definitely on the sweeter side. I especially enjoyed it with the cherry, which helped balance everything out. Service: Warm and attentive throughout the meal, fitting the inviting atmosphere. Plates From My Visit: Calamari Carpaccio Seafood Ravioli Pappardelle Lemon Sorbet Mango Sorbet Panna Cotta Cheesecake Fragola Fizz Forever Summer In Conclusion: A warm Chelsea Italian spot with strong cocktails, unique seafood dishes, and refreshing desserts. When we entered the restaurant and took the elevator up to the restaurant, we were delighted to find free wine provided for us to pour in the elevator. Admittedly, it was red wine, so not my favorite, and it did taste cheap, but still appreciated. To start off, we ordered the onion torta, focaccia, and smashed potatoes. The onion torta was surprisingly good and tasted like a form of french onion soup. As a focaccia enthusiast, the focaccia was fluffy and delicious. We also got the charred beans, carrots, ravioli, tagliatelle, ravioli, and trout to share. The charred beans were surprisingly the long beans and not the smaller ones we expected. However, they were very juicy and better than we thought they would be. The rigatoni resembled cacio e pepe with its pepperiness, the tagliatelle tasted like standard red sauce, but i did enjoy the ravioli and the ricotta inside. For dessert, we had the basque cheesecake which was alright, but I'm not the biggest fan of cheesecake. Overall, we had a great time at Ci Siamo and I would definitely recommend ordering the focaccia and onion torta and we could have skipped the carrots, beans, trout, and tagliatelle.

The food though...was alright, Their fresh made bread with olive oil was delicious and a nice starter. The calamari was lackluster and lowkey tasted frozen vs home made. The meatballs for $18 was insane because the meatballs were literally bite sized! When it came out we were actually shocked. The pastas were tasty and flavorful though! We do wish it came with protein for the price, but it was still solid.

Are you going to the Joyce for a wonderful evening of dance ?…read more Do you prefer a location close by ? Is inexpensive Italian food a preferred choice ? If you answered "yes" to all three, then Fumo is a place to seriously consider. The restaurant is bright and comfortable. The service is fast and attentive. The menu has lots of excellent choices. The portions are generous. The prices are very reasonable. There you go ! Fumo is for you, (at least the Chelsea location) is for you. Any drawbacks ? youi ask.....well, yes, there is one, and it should be cosnidered. The restaurant is so so so popular that the noise level can be a bit ..... shall we say "daunting." Fumo is a great place but if you want a soft, quiet place to have a serious conversation, maybe save it for another time....

This means those dishes aren't truly gluten free for people with celiac disease or anyone who has to avoid gluten. When I pointed that out to my server, he just gave me a blank stare. I tried to explain why labeling those items as gluten free is misleading, but he seemed completely disinterested, even annoyed, dismissed what I was saying, and simply responded that the pasta is gluten free. I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess. We had to request the bill from the manager & paid at the hostess stand. Before paying, I spoke with the manager and explained what had occured. He was more professional than the server, but he was still dismissive of my concerns and of the service we received. Management seemed happy enough to promote the "option". The food was okay, definitely not enough to make up for the poor service and handling of a serious dietary issue. Needless to say I will not be returning.

The interior was completely packed, and the noise level was high enough for my smart watch to complain. To sample a bit of everything, we shared two orders of focaccia, four pastas, and one dessert. HOUSE-MADE FOCACCIA - 10 Super bouncy with a bit of chew, this was probably the best focaccia I've ever eaten. It came generously drizzled with olive oil and alongside chopped peppers drenched in even more olive oil, which added a nice little kick. We highly recommend starting with this. TAGLIATELLE - 27 Out of the four pastas, this was my absolute favorite. I love the thin yet chewy texture of the tagliatelle, and the bolognese sauce was rich and hearty. Finished with just the right amount of Parmigiano, both the pasta texture and sauce were sheer perfection. PICI 'CACIO E PEPE' - 23 This was such a simple pasta, yet so delicious. It was incredibly creamy and cheesy, with hints of fresh black pepper flavor that blew standard at-home black pepper grinders out of the water. Despite it being the simplest pasta of the night, I enjoyed it immensely. RIGATONI - 32 This pasta was simple yet slightly innovative, featuring sausage paired with a broccoli-based pesto. There was a slight bitterness that was polarizing among our group. While this wasn't my favorite pasta, I appreciated the creativity. PERCIATELLI NERO - 35 This dish packed in more components than just pasta and sauce: plenty of crab, tomatoes, and crispy breadcrumbs on top. However, the combination wasn't very memorable. None of the flavors really stood out, and it was my least favorite pasta of the night. OLIVE OIL CAKE - 14 Served with a pile of golden raisins and fancy whipped cream, this ended up being a bit of a miss. The raisins were a bit too sweet, and the cake's texture was uneven -- some bites were soft and moist, while others felt dry. A couple of others in my group also felt the same way. Overall, I'd give L'Artusi a 4.5/5; it was mostly hits with a couple of misses. The pasta portions are quite small. Since each dish is primarily carbs and sauce, I'd imagine you'll likely need an appetizer or a pasta and a half to leave full. Still, I'd definitely come back for the focaccia, tagliatelle, and the cacio e pepe.

It's obvious they use quality ingredients and the kitchen is technically very sound. The pasta in particular was cooked perfectly. Everything we had was good and well executed, but nothing really jumped out at me or felt especially memorable. There are several places around the city that I feel can deliver a similar meal and experience without quite as much hype. That's not to say I didn't enjoy L'Artusi, because I absolutely did. It just didn't separate itself from some of the other really good Italian restaurants I've visited. Service was great, the atmosphere was nice, and overall we had a very enjoyable dinner. Just one where my expectations may have been a little higher than the experience delivered.
