The cake came out amazing. Asked for a classic, stab heart shaped cake with 2 shades of purple. Baby breath and bows with a very lengthy quote. It was delivered to our home with no hassle and instructions. Kindra did a great job! Everyone loved it and flavor combos with lemon cake and raspberry filling was delicious and not dry at all. I'll be sure to order again.

Amazing service!!! I sent photos and explained what I needed and let me tell you they executed it perfectly!!! Pricing was great especially for something so personal and custom made. The cake its self was delicious! With so many flavors it was definitely hard to choose from. I especially loved the delivery service made everything a breeze while I cooked for my party and didn't need to worry about picking up a cake. I see a lot of bad reviews about customer service but honestly it just sounded like a lot of back and forth with customers who weren't ready to spend money on something unique. Art is unique and not everyone can make something so special. (Mind you the cake was well under $200!) I know lots of places that charge for lots more that may have nice designs but not great tasting cake! I will order time and time again, I definitely recommend these wonderful people for ALL cake occasions.

I want to start by saying the cake was absolutely beautiful, I'll include a photo for reference. The design exceeded my expectations, and the quality and flavor were amazing. I was also on a budget, and Kindra was incredibly generous in offering me a discount after learning the cake was for my nephew's funeral. I truly appreciated that kindness and compassion during a difficult time. That said, there were a few challenges with the experience that I feel are important to share. I had provided the date and time of the service when placing my order and scheduled the pickup for the day before, since I was traveling and wouldn't be in Long Beach the morning of. I didn't realize fondant cakes shouldn't be refrigerated, and on the day of pickup, Kindra mentioned she hadn't realized the service was the next day and recommended I get the cake the morning of instead. Since I couldn't pick it up myself, she kindly offered free delivery for 9:45 a.m. the day of the funeral, which I was very grateful for. Unfortunately, there was an emergency on her end, and she was delayed , which I completely understand, as life happens. However, communication afterward became stressful. When I asked for an ETA, she wasn't able to provide one, and once the cake was delivered, she contacted me for the remaining balance. At that point, I was leaving the burial and heading to the repass. I asked for a photo or confirmation of delivery before sending payment, but she became quite aggressive through texts and calls, insisting I pay immediately. I explained that I just needed about 30 minutes to confirm the cake had arrived, as I wasn't there in person and didn't know who to contact right away. Thankfully, a family friend sent me a picture confirming delivery, and I immediately sent the balance plus a $40 tip. I want to emphasize that what I paid didn't come close to the true value of her work, the cake itself was phenomenal. I only wish the customer service interaction had been handled with a bit more patience and understanding, especially given the circumstances. Overall, I would still recommend this bakery for the quality of their cakes. they are stunning and delicious. However, I'd suggest meeting in person beforehand or confirming all details clearly to ensure a smoother experience.

If you want a STRESSFUL ordering cake experience go right ahead and order here. Mine was just an overall bad experience. My first 2 times ordering where not to bad. Ordered my cake (very minimal communication) she delivered all went well. This 3rd time was my final straw. Cake was 2 hrs late, (I did receive a $50 discount). Delivery through uber, (which I had no idea up until arrival time) and to top it off the design was poor to taste. I was hoping the taste would be worth the wait (late time arrival) but to my disappointment the flavors where completely off. Ordered cream cheese (got regular frosting). Again, quality and effort where not there. I did pay $280 original quite $330 with my discount. I won't be ordering again- lesson learned

DO NOT GIVE BUSINESS! Asked for a standard invoice before sending a deposit to confirm the cake size, total price, and order details. The business REFUSED and insisted payment be sent first, and took immediate defense! When I explained why I prefer invoices for my record, the response quickly became defensive and I was immediately met with "in all that time you spent explaining you could've already had your invoice AFTER a payment" and "thank you for explaining how to run my business"? It's a HUGE red flag to take that tone and defensiveness with customers, especially with a simple request of an invoice to solidify the order. Speaks VOLUMES of the business and customer service!! I CLEARLY will NOT give my money and support a business with this kind of service. I requested a smaller cake as well, and THIS WAS THE LAST MESSAGE THE OWNER WROTE?? "Sorry we can't accept food stamps"?? even after blocked! READ THE TEXTS! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS ITS DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR!

If you ever need a custom cake made, then Bake My Day is the business to go to! I've had Kindra make me a few customized cakes from Disney related ones, to ones made to look like food dishes. Kindra is very friendly, and is talented at her craft of baking delicious foods! Please give her your orders in advance with at least 2 weeks notice so she can plan accordingly! I've ordered at least 5 times, and everything came out beautifully & delicious! Give her business a try if you need a custom cake made!

Absolutely LOVED this coconut and lemon birthday cake! We have gotten 3 birthday cakes now and they are always delicious. Pick-up is also always easy in downtown Long Beach. Definitely recommend ordering a cake for your event!

I gave Kendra a few images of what I wanted my cake to look like. I gave her color themes and requested a marbled Tres Lèche. And she magically made it to perfection, fresh the same day and delivered it to the venue. It was so magical! My son couldn't believe his eyes and the guests all wanted her contact because the cake not only looked like magic but tastes so delicious! She magically encased a tres lèche cake inside that 2 tier cake! This cake served 45 people. Kendra was very professional and amazing to work with! Your imagination is the limit because she can make anything! I highly recommend her for all custom cakes!

This is my second time ordering with Kindra. Ordering through text is efficient as I can send her pictures of what I want, and she immediately responds with a price quote. Fair and upfront pricing. When needing to meet a budget, she suggests what can be removed to bring the cost down. Our first cake was 2 years ago, flavor and taste was good and design was good. This time we ordered a heart shaped cake, and Kindra came through with exactly what we were looking for.

I've gotten around 3 cakes from Bake My Day! When I say we are WOW'd every time we mean it! My friends/family LOVE how beautiful they look and they are always similar to the inspo photos. At this point I'm just going to stick to them since I haven't been let down and I know my money is going to a great cake. They've all been wonderful taste wise too. I was looking for baby shower cake. I got quote from her. As it mentions in the website they require $40 deposit. The deposit is non refundable. I talked a girl named Christine. She was very rude while talking to me. I asked her regarding the cake flavors. I asked her if there is extra charge for flavor. She replied arrogantly saying look at the website. She said whichever flavor I want sent her text so she can give me price for flavor. She should have responded nicely and politely. Also, I ask if she has French Macrons and cake pops. She said the other locations has it. She told I will have to order with them and I can pick up cake and cake pops pick up at same location. So typically you have to pay $80 for deposits. You are paying double deposit which is non refundable. She neither apologized that she was being rude. She didn't care about customer service. She just wanted orders. She so impatient. She needs to learn how to do customer service than business. I would never recommend her. read more

I'm not one to leave Yelp Reviews and get upset when a place has decent customer service, but this was the cherry on top. I wanted a cake for my 21st birthday, and I had called Kendra 2 weeks before my birthday to give her all the information. From the minute she picked up the phone, you can automatically tell how unorganized she was. She had been busy that day, driving all around delivering cakes, which is understandable, but she kept going back and forth with me about whether she would do my cake or not. So she told me to text her images of the cakes I liked, and she could give me an estimate and her ideas. The next day, I immediately sent her pictures, and got no response. Texted her the following day after, and still NO response. I called her again, she answered quickly and I discussed with her that I had sent her pictures. Again she went on about whether or not she would do my cake, finally told me she would, and then unprofessionally gave me an estimate. From start to finish, it was difficult to get into contact with her, and I understand she could be busy, but to not respond to my multiple texts in two days, which is what she requested me to do? Also they do not explain on their website that they make their cakes from home, which is fine, but it's hard to get into contact with someone of a smaller business. I'm all for supporting my friends/neighbors who have a smaller business, but just be able to work with me. Kendra if you read this, if you are not able to make a cake, please understand that it is ok to say no so that your customers can have time to go over to other places to make their cake, rather than wasting their time. read more

What a wonderful experience it has been with Bake My Day. Kindra is a piece of work and a real professional. She sent me voice memos and I will quote them verbatim as I will be reporting this business: "First of all I can't believe that you cried over a cake. That is hilarious. Second of all I can't believe I went way out of my way to help you out and you gave me a review. Like good luck. Good luck with all your sons birthdays like you didn't even like remember it you called me 48 hours before how sad is that? I feel bad for your son. And for the record I probably put in more effort into your sons birthday than you did. You put in more effort into your Yelp review than your sons birthday how sad is that poor kid." and she went on to say I am not pregnant since she saw me so apparently I am lying about that. I was really pleased with how my cake turned out !!! I went to many other places but none convinced me ! Luckily my best friend found Bake my day online ! And we went through the pictures and I was amazed on how beautiful they made their cakes ! So I went ahead and gave them a call and send them a picture of what I was looking for. I was looking for a unicorn cake that really stood out for my nieces 5th Birthday when I found Bake My Day. I ordered a Red velvet cake , and chocolate mini cupcakes and cake pops. The design came out amazing, the cake definitely turned heads. The cake, cake pops and cupcakes tasted even better then it looked. Super moist cake very flavorful . I don't understand how this business has good reviews considering how rude this lady is. How is anyone able to get past the unprofessionalism enough to even place an order. Anyways, I am just not sure why ordering a cake should ever be a confrontational conversation. Especially when all you're trying to do is plan a memorable and exciting event for your daughters birthday. Guess she didn't like the outrageous price she quoted me, and took it personally. Never had such a weird encounter with a bakery. Guess there's a first for everything lol. What a joke. read more

If I could rate 10 I would. I wanted a gender reveal cake and wanted to find out the gender right away and Kendra was able to make me a same day cake that was amazing and delicious. Cakes usually take a day or more to set up and make, but she went above and beyond to make sure I got this cake the same day. I am so grateful. Best customer service ever. Cake was beautifully decorated for amount of time. And she even recommended fillings to best fit the theme of the cake. I plan on coming back to her for more cakes, and with plenty of days ahead too. read more

It's one thing to have a cupcake artist who's work is amazing and another to have such empathy and care~ however with Kindra, you get both in one as she's not only super talented, but she has such a biiiig heart! My mom is battling stage 4 colon cancer and she went up and beyond in helping deliver the cupcakes to my friends and they loved it! We love her! I ordered a cake with Kindra for my father-in-law. My father-in-law is a huge golf fan so I went with a golf theme. It came out amazing!!! And tasted great too! Not only did he love his cake the whole family thought it was made amazingly. I will definitely be ordering again from Kindra and referring to family and friends. I contacted Bake My Day yesterday to get a price quote on a cake. I was told they DO NOT have a bake shop and I would have to do all my dealings via text. Very suspicious. I could not go and see her cakes. When I asked her if I could meet her somewhere agreeable to her to show her a picture of the cake I wanted, she very rudely said "AREN'T YOU LISTENING TO ME!, I don't have a shop, and I'm not open until 10:00 a.m., THIS IS MY PERSONAL TIME! Yet it was her who initiated the text first thing this morning. i thought to myself, I do not want to do business with someone like this and politely said "never mind" and she continued to say I was rude and belittle me. BEWARE ... she wants to do all contact via text. You say okay I'll order, and she sends you a direct text into her paypal account.. Very shady, very unprofessional. I wonder if she has a license to do business under this name. That would be worth looking into. Beware... read more

I found Kindra on Yelp and asked for mini gluten free and nut allergy friendly cupcakes. I honestly thought i was asking for too much, but she was very accommodating. I thought I was going to get a mediocre tasking cupcake, (I mean...how good can a gluten free cupcake taste, right? ) but dang, those things were pretty darn good! They were super moist and not overly sweet. I got plain vanilla so I'm excited to taste her other flavors. Would definitely recommend and will be using again. read more

I found Bake My Day via Yelp because I was looking for a good place near my house that could bake my son a Laker cake for his birthday. Since I contacted Kindra she was very accommodating & communicative. I sent her a picture of what I wanted and she created something incredibly cute and tasty!! All of my guests enjoyed the cake and even my son's auntie who bakes cakes was impressed by the taste. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Christine was so helpful and informative and executed EXACTLY what I wanted for my sisters baby shower. I will be honest that their was a lot of changes of time on my behalf but she worked around my schedule even when I was late on pickup she was just awesome. I usually get white cake with vanilla buttercream and confetti sprinkles, and lemon with lemon frosting(my favorite) but tried their flavor of the month- lemon with strawberry pieces and strawberry buttercream frosting- and it's divine!! The cake was lemony, soft and moist; I only wish there were more strawberry pieces in the cake, i'm not a huge frosting person but this strawberry cream cheese was sooo yummy and blended well with the cupcake. I loved how they packaged up the single cupcake. There would have been an extra charge for the special single box, but I took a chance on their regular packaging and it worked perfectly! They have a little collared protector they attach and it didn't tilt or move around in the bag. The frosting never even touched the sides of the bag. Service is always friendly and efficient. I know they will have lots of business and will probably sell out of most of the flavors every day. Glad this special little popup close to my home has opened up!

I always talked really highly about Nonna Mercato (I also enjoyed the brunch so much) and always told people that this is one of my most favorite restaurants in Long Beach, but this one really missed the mark for me and my friends. I don't know if this would make us want to go to Summer Nights again next time. For $130 per person (after tax, tip, and corkage fees), I definitely hoped for a much better experience.

My son is turning 13 (officially a teen) so I'm having a grand party for him, his father just died so we're trying to make it extra special and this lady was the most disrespectful, rude and extremely annoyed with my questions! I even explain to her that I have never ordered a cake by diameter (I usually show what I want and it's made and to talk to me like I know nothing about this cake business (which I don't) I think her cakes are beautiful/stunning but I will definitely not support a business who talks to random customers like they are idiots!! so good luck to her and I hope she changes her attitude and talks to people with more compassion and understanding, not everyone is educated on the cake business, if I was I wouldn't be calling you right? read more

I support small businesses like this and stand up to internet bullies/keyboard warriors like Connie whose review is out of line. You didn't even try their product and you're leaving a one star review?! Cmon Connie...be better. I look forward to ordering from Bake My Day for my next big celebration.
