Their unique Asian inspired menu, makes me coming back time and time again. They also have a child play area, which makes me think that they thought of every detail. They're merch that they sell is also on an Asian inspired. For example, they have Momofuku chili crunch for sale. Not only do they have a brick and mortar, but they are also at Smorgasburg LA on Sundays, which, if you know about Smorgasburg, they are the best of the best. I also know that they are having their collaboration with Paloma, a Mediterranean restaurant in Venice for the summer. Paloma will feature a baklava latte that you can only get exclusively at the restaurant. I'm obsessed with this place so I asked a lot of questions lol. They also won US cold brew champions ships in 2021. I also think you can buy their beans online. You should definitely check them out on Melrose. Lastly, they have a kimchi spam croissant that is incredibly tasty. read more

Such a great addition to the Melrose area! Be Bright has plenty of seating, is a great spot to work, coffee is so good and they have parking - almost unheard of in the area! I had first tried Be Bright's Vivid Cream Latte from Smorg, and it was my new found favorite! When I heard they opened a store, I knew I had to visit. My husband and I got the Black Sesame Latte and drip coffee. Black Sesame Latte is seasonal and Be Bright did not disappoint. It wasn't as sweet as the Vivid Cream Latte which I liked for the morning. It was unique and it's definitely a must try! The drip coffee was also very fresh. I heard that they roast their own beans weekly, so they're definitely fresh! We also ordered their ham & cheese croissant and spam croissant. The spam croissant was surprisingly really good. I took a bite out of it and, surprise! There was kimchi in it! I would've never imagined a spam and kimchi croissant to be so good! read more

The coffee I usually get (vivid cream latte) was smooth and not too sweet. I've also ordered one of their seasonal coffees (toasted macadamia?) and that was also delicious. I've also tried their Yuzu Palmer tea and that was very refreshing. The staff is friendly and very quick with making the drink orders. The interior is cozy and clean. Very cute, has outlets. And it doesn't get freezing inside. It's a perfect temperature versus a Starbucks that cranks up the air and when you're studying for a few hours it get me cold. The staff was friendly and would definitely felt come back to study whenever I'm in the area. Also! They have a few spots adjacent to them that is free parking. Personally I wouldn't even mind if they extended the hours to a little later. read more

Be Bright checks all the boxes when it comes to what I look for in any food or coffee establishment. Flavor - Their specialty coffees like the Vivid Cream and Ultralight Cream (I think I got those correct!) hit every time. Absolutely delicious and definitely on the more dessert side when it comes to coffee beverages. - Their house brews are also delicious when you want something more classic. I love their espresso and my boyfriend always gets an Americano. Customer Service - Ever since the new ownership (previously Enigma Coffee, was not a fan) the team has been a joy to speak with in every visit. Each of them make a point to get to know us. Unexpected Delights They have a retail section with the most unique and fun packaged food/ coffee mugs/childrens books, etc. I have bought masa, chili oil, cups, black sesame spread, and Asian flavored almond candies from here and was never disappointed! Had to visit once I found out they were opening a physical store, especially with the positive experience I had at their Smorgasburg location, and I wasn't let down. Interior is clean and surprisingly spacious, and has a genius children's nook which I greatly appreciated. The baristas were super friendly and added to the overall positive vibe of the cafe. I tried their Ultralight Bean coffee and it was smooth with just the right amount of sweet. I'll definitely be returning to try their sandwiches next time. read more

I hate to leave this review because I'm always rooting for local businesses... but I spent $6 something plus tip for the worlds smallest (like they went out of their way to find the smallest cups on earth), flavorless chai. I was so disappointed when I saw the cup size. It's like the size of a Starbucks espresso shot cup- not even a Starbucks tall... for almost seven bucks??? If it was delicious, I'd understand... it wasn't though. It wasn't even hot and it had no flavor... there are three other absolutely delightful coffee spots all within a three minute walk of this place that have human sized coffee cups with flavor. The ambiance is a tad cold and industrial too. Not sure if there is new management, or if the business changed since covid, but a few years back this location was welcoming and delicious. This was just a bad experience. The cup size is so disrespectful, tbh. They had to special order those cups from a dentist? You know- when they dentist gives you mouth wash and asks you to rinse haha. I am sad to say I won't be back, and I'm in this area several days a week, and I always get coffee... but it won't be from here. Sorry guys. read more
