Pizza was delicious! They're all thin and crispy! All is made to order and the salads are top notch as you can build your own salad. Cheese bread is also thin and a bit too garlicky tasting but still really good. We waited in line for 20 minutes but it was worth the wait. Plenty of seating inside and outside. However there is only 2 bathrooms so you will probably have to wait a bit and the bathrooms were not very clean. Dining room was clean and well kept. The employees are extremely busy and seem to be overwhelmed while you're trying to order and they will ask over and over again what you want in your pizza. The BIG problem was that at least one of the employees had no idea why he was wearing gloves. Multiple people had told me about Blaze and I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical. So on a recent trip to Knoxville I decided it was time to finally check out Blaze and wow am I glad I did! The best way to describe Blaze is that it's like Subway but with pizza. You can order one of their signature pizzas or a build your own, where you can choose from dozens and dozens of toppings. Anything from pesto drizzle over the dough to arugula to crumbled meatballs - the possibilities are endless. I went with mozzarella, gorgonzola cheese, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, bacon, and ham. The staff was so friendly and the crust comes out perfectly crispy after a quick trip into their open fire oven. Their service level wow'd me the most - super welcoming, explained how their pizza building process works, offering to add other toppings along the way ... Ordered 2 pizzas for 3 people - 6 slices per pizza, plenty for us, and we had a couple slices for leftovers. Waited 30 minutes for an online order. Our pizzas were already done and we were waiting on 4 knots and this is what they give us. All of the employees looked at it and made faces so I knew something was wrong with it. I get to the car and they're burnt! Been coming to this location since the day it opened usually greeted with positive attitudes and a light hearted environment. Today the entire crew look suicidal and are absolutely miserable half playing with their phones and the other half just wishing they were anywhere else. As with everything else prices have jumped almost to the point this wouldn't be worth having anymore especially since it appears the staff aren't allowed any real quantity of toppings even when you beg and offer to pay more. Have it your way concept. Many concepts are based on the "build your own" style and customers love it. Blaze was also voted one of the best new concepts last year. They use a wide variety of fresh ingredients. Want a spinach, artichoke garlic with fresh mozzarella? No problem. A meat pie with over 10 different choices? No worries. You can get it here. For me the crust makes the pizza. They use a thin crust that reminded of my days in Rome. Put that thin crust into a 800° F oven and you have a great crispy crust. Price is not bad for the quality at around $9. Give it a try. read more

However, I do not understand how a manager Luke can shut down online orders and refuse call in orders on a Tuesday afternoon. Most of us work and can only do call ins or online orders to get food. I've eaten here a handful of times, and to be honest, I just don't think it's very good. The crust and sauce are pretty bland, and they're also pretty stingy with their toppings. I usually see a good bit of traffic here, so maybe I'm in the minority. I think young kids who like their pizza pretty plain might be happy with this place. My family arrived early to do (as the website stated) and order "IN-RESTAURANT" and was turned away from the door from the manager as there was a 1.5 hour wait due to those who ordered online and delivery as they were given priority. So why advertise specials for in-restaurant when you cannot get service for this. First off I would give less than a star if possible. My mom placed a complaint back in September 2020 about pizza that was made wrong with items we are allergic to were placed on the pizza's (4 of them) not sure if we got someone else's pizza or it was deliberate because the guy making the pizzas was not friendly or customer service oriented ... we got takeout and unfortunately I didn't check it before I left so when I got it home to my moms it was all wrong so we couldn't eat it the day I went it was lined up down the sidewalk so I wasn't going thru that again so my mom placed a complaint online because we called location and phone was busy for over an hour but we got a fairly quick reply from corporate the generic reply email: "We're sorry about that. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know. We'll make sure the Franchisee is aware so they can work with the team to make sure they are making the correct orders. Someone from our team will review and get back to you." But guess what no one from the location ever contacted us so that proves that they don't care about their customers we try to still get takeout to support local businesses since with the pandemic its not safe to eat out anymore I guess they don't miss our business we used to get it 2-4 times a week because my kids are picky so instead of fighting them I just get what they want because the stress and anxiety caused by the pandemic we need some happiness occasionally but since we haven't been back to Blaze since September and I have successfully convinced several friends and family to stop eating there as well and one friend for the fun of it goes to the location occasionally and tells people in line about how the company doesn't care and gets them to go elsewhere which has been a new way to feel better during the pandemic. So crap on your customers and we can give the crap back and cost you where it hurts in your wallet. Thankfully there is better pizza options and plenty of them in Knoxville. read more

ANYTHING you want on that pizza for $7.95! That's why! No "per topping charge" BS! If you want fresh basil...get it! Want Gorgonzola cheese? Ask for it! Want light sauce, white sauce, spicy sauce? You can have it your way at BLAZE! All pizzas are thin crust. Felt like this place was made just for me! They are slid into an oven that is BLAZING hot and in 180 seconds...DONE! I suggest selecting a funny or interesting name for them to call out when your pizza is done. I didn't think about it until it was too late...but next time...and there WILL be a next time...I'm going with Jr Asparagus or Pipi John or Calamity Jane! Sit outside! It's really way better than inside. Get the Blood Orange Lemonade! Because you can and who else had Blood Orange Lemonade? I have only one suggestion for BLAZE...sweep out the oven. The grainy corn meal that goes on every pizza bottom and burn in the oven and then builds up, is annoying...and causes me to have to wipe my hands excessively. This place is a sinking ship and I highly encourage anyone seeking employment to look elsewhere! Mike Forte and Wayne Albritton do not value their team, only their bottom line. There are so many other reputable, low stress companies that will treat you with the respect you deserve. These guys will pay you the bare minimum so they can continue getting rich, all while contributing nothing to the Restaurant. How can you from the seat by the front door of the entrance, Mike? They will allow you to work year after year, 60+ hours a week, travel all over building up their company, just to say they don't owe you the SEVEN weeks of vacation time you had worked so hard for and built up over the years. Working for Blaze was the biggest regret of my life and I hope this will help others in their career choices. They don't have your best interest in mind. Find another company that will actually take care of you. This place is going down in flames and they deserve it. Edited to add: Mike Forte upon firing me agreed to pay me for the entirety of my PTO time that I accrued over time. After agreeing to this and we separated, he sent me a text saying he will only pay me my accrued PTO if I submit a letter of resignation so I would be unable to receive unemployment. (Again, three months into Covid). He even told me I was stupid for taking the chance on unemployment versus a guaranteed payout. Is this really how you want your company represented? With lies and dishonesty? I did not receive any of my accrued PTO because I refused to write a letter lying about my release of employment from Blaze Pizza. Shame on Mike Forte, Wayne Albritton, and Barb Powell for giving me this ultimatum. read more

Excellent pizza. First time and won't be our last. Intend to bring in the group before UT games since it's fast, inexpensive, and everyone can choose what they want! My wife and I shared a build your own this visit, and we were able to choose our toppings on each of our half side of the pizza - love you can get as many toppings as you want for the same build your price of 7.65! One of our pizzas had a small whole in the crust after cooking and they insisted on making another pizza and also gave my daughter the pizza to take home - excellent customer service.
