By the time we got food both burgers and fries were cold. Burger was very, very dry. Fries cold and soggy. There were not a lot of people dining in but assuming the were short staffed or issues in kitchen. Seems like cannot keep up with volume but we don't understand why food was so cold. read more

We were staying at a hotel in Coronado and ordered Burger Lounge via GrubHub because I had to be on a boat for a surf trip that was picking us up at Glorietta Bay at 6 am the next morning. As far as quality goes, this BL location is consistent with the other ones in Southern California. GREAT burgers, (beef, veggie, & fish), chicken tenders, veggie nuggets (bites), and brilliant shakes! I'd give this location 5 stars however when our order arrived there were THREE items missing (2 side salads and an onion ring/fries combo). One might expect this oversight from a McDonalds or Burger King but Burger Lounge is heads and shoulders above other fast food establishments, with prices to match. When you're paying over $120 for burgers, sides, and shakes for TWO people, one would expect superior service and a greater attention to accuracy and detail. How difficult would it be to have someone check off the orders as they are packed and double check them when they are picked up? I'm not ruling out Burger Lounge Coronado but if I'm having food delivered I'd now probably choose one of the local burger businesses in town and just visit this location in person. read more

Ordered a vegan burger with onion rings- both were pretty solid. I ordered through the Yelp app which was super easy and my order was ready to pick up once I arrived. They had a few sauces to choose from; I ended up with barbecue sauce which complemented the burger and onion rings well. The ambiance was casual, comfortable, and clean. Burger Lounge is such a common place where I live that I forget that it's burgers are just right. Not even fresh cut onions in our Lounge burger was bothersome to me. Well, it was a shared meal with my significant other when we took a drive up to Coronado from Mission Hills. On a Saturday afternoon on a lovely warm and sunny day before the tourist season ends, we found a perfect parking spot. The significant other is still not able to walk long distances without pain but on this day, it worked out perfectly. As we walked down with our Apricot (the master Dog), we stopped by BL in Coronado. Sure there were other choices within the area, but we wanted a simple meal and this worked out. The Lounge Burger, the half and half (onion rings/fries) and sodas and we were set. The small outdoor area was not too crowded and by the time we finished our meal, the place was sparsely populated. Yes, it's a pricey burger. Whether or not it's worth the price is going to depend on what you're looking for in a burger. I like that their burgers taste more homemade; they have nice, fluffy buns; and their veggies are always very fresh. That being said, I also do enjoy a limp McDonalds burger and an over-the-top Slaters burger. Sorry, probably not to helpful -- you'll just have to try it and decide for yourself. Their salads though, are what I love this chain for. Unfortunately, they have closed down the salad station during covid, which fortunately, allows them to better socially distance in the kitchen. They are redoing their salad menu and will debut new salads next year. I'm sad because I loved their salads, but 2020 has surely gotten us used to embracing change. Let's see what 2021 brings! P.S.
