This was one of my favorite restaurants to go to for a fancy dinner date in LA! All the dishes may have been pricey but they tasted amazing. For me my obvious favorite was the filet mignon - I had many filet mignons at various restaurants before but this was the best one I had so far, something about their seasoning was rich and made it scrumptious! (Honestly didn't need the sauce!). Their service was actually really active and very good too! I wish I took more picture of the inside of the restaurant itself but obviously fell in love with their hallway entrance that is totally instaworthy. But inside the actual restaurant is really beautiful as well, I think I just forgot to take a picture because I was busy but also just enjoying my time~ The only caveat to the place is depending on where you're seated it can feel a little tight between seats! Also parking can be tricky, but there's a nearby parking structure you can go to! Make sure to look that up before you go directly here! This place has just okay food, and some of the worst vibes I've ever encountered in my life. When you walk in, if you're not someone they recognize, you are treated like you're nobody. You need to have a reservation to even get upstairs, and after you're upstairs, your reservation is not a guarantee that you'll be seated immediately. This is a place to see and be seen. If you're into that and don't mind the fact that they'll give you judgmental looks and you'll drop an arm and a leg on food that's just alright, you'll enjoy it. Our waiter came by and asked if we wanted dessert, i informed him we still hadn't received all our food and I would like to remove them and pay as it was now late and the experience was less than satisfactory. I would highly recommend making reservations in advance. While there may be metered street parking available, for dinner street parking can be a challenge. Paying for valet would be well worth it when coming in the evening. This is an experience you will want to take your time enjoying and would expect $200 - $400 for a dinner for two. Part of the experience is simply the hype the location has garnered but the dishes are not bad - some may say it's 'overplayed' but just chill and experience it for yourself The waiting staff generally gives you space, which is nice. DRINKS ORDERED ($20 each) - East Coast Kali - japaleno, tequila, grand marnier, campari bitters, passionfruit, yuzu. Terrific balance of spicy, sweet, and a little creamy. - One Too Many - strawberry, vodka, coconut, avocado, lime). Very sweet and coconutty. - Pineapple Trainwreck - vodka, pineapple, tarragon, lemon, Peychaud's bitters. Just okay. Given the success of the other two drinks, I expected stronger fruit and herb flavors for this one. FOOD ORDERED - Salmon Carpaccio ($28 - yuzu, pickled onion, watercress, garlic chips). A solid appetizer. The salmon tasted good with the garlic and sweet & sour soy sauce. However, the watercress didn't do much for me. - Filet Skewers ($24 - 2 pcs). Tasted fine, but a little one note with the sweet kabayaki (unagi eel) sauce. I couldn't taste the truffle or wasabi. The slightly acidic and nutty dipping sauce was good, but not complementary to the beef. I would have liked one more skewer for the portion. - Crunchy Rice Cakes ($24 - 4 pcs). Well seasoned tuna on top of crisped rectangles of rice. The tuna was more like a regular negitoro than tartare. The taste of the fish was alright. Unfortunately, the texture of the rice inside of the crust was gelatinous. Pass. - Lobster Macaroni ($32). Oceany flavored sauce, a touch salty, with al dente elbow noodles. The lobster was more of a mince, so I would have liked some larger pieces on top with the breadcrumbs. - Grilled Spanish Octopus ($29). I was blown away by the tender and meaty octopus. It was not rubbery at all, and the flavor was excellent. I didn't know that cuttlefish could be made this way. The dish was served on a bed of crispy baby potatoes. - MRC Roll ($24 - 5 pcs - seared tuna, shrimp, avocado, ponzu brown butter). I thought that the roll looked unassuming. Then I ate a piece and was amazed. The ponzu brown butter transformed the sushi into an incredibly umami bite. Something else gave it a pleasant onion flavor. - Charred Broccolini ($15). The broccolini was a beautiful deep green color and had a snap. I appreciated the extreme tartness, which cut the richness of the meal. The sliced garlic had more of an impact than the scant chili flake. DESSERTS ORDERED - The Carnival ($24). Warm, doughy, and springy ricotta donut holes sitting on a literal pedestal. Cute! You also get four mini squeeze bottles of sauces. My favorites were the cream cheese frosting and salted caramel. The milk chocolate was alright. However, I disliked the raspberry lime sauce. It was too tart and lacking in raspberry flavor. - Salted Snickers Pie ($18). A dense, nutty crust filled with chocolate ganache, topped with meringue and salted peanut caramel drizzle. I forget what the ice cream was, but you can't go wrong with a la mode. The menu says there is "almond cake" in the ganache. I have no idea what that means. Rating is for the service alone. The food was delicious...when it arrived and what portions we actually received. Came in for a nice Valentine dinner w/ my wife. After being seated, we waited for our starter to arrive. Meanwhile, 3 more couples staggered in a tables next to us. The first couple who came in 15 minutes after us received their starter and completed their first course. The second and third couple sat down 30 minutes after us and received their starters. You can tell the entire staff was completely lost and confused with where dishes were going and where each table was at in their dining. This was a pre fixed menu for the busy night, but clearly the staff wasn't properly prepped. Our server offered to comp a ceviche for our wait and he was kind, but clearly flustered on his own. Each stage of the meal was a long wait and dishes that were part of our course were missed. Thankfully I remembered the menu becuase I had to remind the staff we were still missing dishes from the previrus round before the next round was being served. By the end, they missed the chili garlic bock chow and I gave up without telling the staff. It's like I had to manage the process myself just to make sure we received our entire order because they were not prepared nor had a clue what was going on. I stil tipped $60 on a recommended $90-$100 tip and feel gross for doing so. Please train your staff and do better. This was supposed to be a nice date night with my Valentine and ended up being a stressful over priced experience. i had an overall pleasant experience here! it is one of the many "instagrammable fine dining" restaurants and it lives up to the hype. i went for a friends birthday dinner and it was very nice. the floral walkway is truly beautiful! we were very late to our reservation but we're still able to be accommodated after a little wait. the food is expensive. $30 for what seemed like a panda express entree to me was ridiculous but you have to expect those kinds of prices when visiting a restaurant like this. the sushi rolls and sashimi was actually very excellent! i did notice our waiter really did the bare minimum with our table. we barely saw him and even after getting a different waiter, it was the same service. we were enjoying our dinner but eventually had to hunt him down for our check. our dinner total was around $450 for 4. would i rather go to a sugarfish instead ? probably, but im glad i experienced the restaurant read more

One of our orders (the crispy rice tuna cracker) never came, and even though we asked to cancel it, we were still charged. Fixing that mistake took 30 minutes. When we asked the bartender for help, she was unbelievably rude and told us to "go find your server"--as if it's our job to track down staff in a busy venue. The dessert server was also cold and unwelcoming, which made the entire experience even worse. For a place with such a strong reputation, the service was shockingly poor. We came here for Valentine's Day brunch and had an okay experience. This is rooftop restaurants which offers nice views and aesthetically pleasing entrance is picture worthy. Unfortunately that's about it. It's very trendy and overrated. As for the food it was alright, didn't love it. For starters, my bloody mary had way too much horseradish and hard to drink. My face turned red after few sips. Steak and eggs cooked to perfection, but super salty. French toast with blueberry compote was good, but nothing to write about. I would have preferred more blueberries and syrupy sauce, instead of jam like texture. The one saving grace was the catch roll which was really tasty. Miso-honey really complements crab/salmon roll nicely. Portions was decent. Service is good and attentive. Seating is very cramp and close to other tables. Our server was nice enough to let us sit at one of the unoccupied booths. Underwhelmed by the food. This is not cheap place, be prepared to spend. Our server (name started with R, Rome?) ignored our table for long stretches, walked past us multiple times without an acknowledgement, made a snarky comment when he finally showed up to greet us, and offered zero help with dietary restrictions. When we asked about an ingredient in a roll because we wanted to make sure vegan before eating, he admitted he didn't know, walked away, and *never came back with an answer, so we too off and didn't eat it. He never checked on our food, walked past us multiple times with empty dirty plates on our table, and gave full attention to the table right next to us while avoiding ours entirely. It takes 2 seconds to look over and ask if we are doing okay. I tried to be very graceful and understanding but it got to a point it felt racially charged. Another server, Alan(?), ended up stepping in to help us for a brief moment and was the only positive about the service entire night. The food was good, but the service was so dismissive it unfortunately tarnished the experience. We ended up asking for our food to-go instead of finishing our dinner there. Which says volumes about how uncomfortable it was. For a place where you can easily spend hundreds of dollars, it's extra isunacceptable. Much like everywhere else in LA, parking is horrible. Though they have valet in the front, it's still equally as bad. My girlfriends and I made reservations the day prior and everything went smoothly. The food was amazing and very flavorful. Everything was big portions so we all ordered for the table and shared. We all loved the Grilled Spanish Octopus and thought the Mushroom Spaghetti was very creamy. When we got back out, we decided to take photos where the entrance is, obviously waiting for others to walk by first. But the security (??) would stand and run down the entrance only telling my group to move and give us dirty looks. There were other groups of girls taking up the entrance but he would just walk pass them. There was one point where he stood at the entrance where the elevator was and as soon as he saw it open, he'd rush up to us and tell us to move. It's not that serious! We ordered the lobster Mac and cheese, truffle fries, breakfast burrito, tuna poke bowl, and the egg white omelet. We also got the waffle tower after for dessert. Everything came out so delicious! I really loved the lobster Mac and cheese and only wished the portions were bigger. We also ended up order tequila shots which were $20 each.
