Ordering online was easy, I was able to place my order for a day ahead and they followed my instructions. I also ordered in person for same day before and they were able to accommodate. Had the taro mochi and the pandan coconut jelly cake - both were not to sweet just like how we like it, was fluffy and the mochi was such an interesting addition to the cake similarly, the jelly as well. I love their special candles they include and the packaging of the cake. Overall, I've had a great experience and I'm looking forward to ordering another one soon. I have yet to try their drinks, their mini cakes and desserts they have, so I'll definitely come back to try. Parking was ok, they're tucked in a small plaza and it might get busy with the restaurants in the same plaza but I was able to find a spot. For a set of 6 of the original flavor, the price was about $12, and I was told that a 2-3 minute wait was needed before they'd be ready. I took that time to admire the decor, which included references to a particular 90s anime and the upcoming Spring Festival. When the cake finally showed up, I was surprised to see that they were smaller than I expected. Upon closer inspection, each piece resembled a cube covered in pork floss about 1 1/2" each side. I've walked by this café in passing before while getting food with my friend in the plaza. It's a cute bakery/cakery and boba place, that's whimsically themed. However, it has the misfortunate of being in one of the tiniest, busiest, worst plazas in Arcadia. It is literally a PvP zone there and you have much more luck either neighborhood parking or parking across the street at Barcadia... We ordered our drinks to go and we got the: Avocado Mango Love, Brulee Thai Tea, Camelia Milk Tea, and Phoenix Dan Cong Milk Tea. Each drink was small/regular size with less ice and 50-75% level of sweetness. Overall no complaints about the drinks, but not super phenomenal to write home about either. I would scale the drinks at CC Cake somewhere along the lines of Ding Tea or Gong Cha taste and quality with these adjustments. Would I come back? Their lot is located in a small strip mall off Baldwin that is shared with a few other popular businesses. When they are all busy, parking can be challenging. The store is relatively small, but similar to a Starbucks in size. There are tables with plugs along the wall opposite the order counter and one man was sitting with his computer while we were there. However, it was pretty hot inside on our visit in late June and seems like the airconditioner is not on very low. Consequently, going to there to study for a while or even enjoy your food/drink during the hot months might not be a good idea. Like McDonalds, they have an order kiosk, but there was no one ordering while we were there so we just ordered from the register. We got a small of the oreo boba and shared it. It was pretty expensive, but tasted good. Because of the price we will likely not go back very often. It seems like their prices are a little higher than other boba places. However, their niche seems to be different flavors/types of boba drinks than other stores offer. Their bobas were cooked just right for our taste, not too hard and not overly chewy. In addition to their drinks, they have a large variety of cakes. We did not try those. During our visit, there were two ladies working there, one took our order and the other made the drink. We did not have to wait long. Overall, we would recommend going here if you are in the mood for unique dessert cakes or boba drinks. Just be prepared to pay a little bit more. read more

Each little cake was about 3 inches in diameter and was made with two layers of super fluffy sponge cake covered in a mixture of pork floss and sesame seeds. They also offer versions with taro paste, salted egg yolk, or mochi sandwiched in between. The original variant was definitely reminiscent of the crescent-shaped pork floss cake available at many Chinese bakeries, but was a smaller version. I had ordered the Golden Phoenix oolong milk tea and a Camellia milk tea, and both drinks tasted watered down - I think it was a problem more with the milk than the actual brewed tea, or maybe just the ratio.
