What a great experience! I stayed at a local hotel and due to COVID the dining room was closed. I phoned in an order and walked up to the drive thru. Friendly service and order was accurate. The chicken was perfect! A fantastic meal at an honest price. I'm giving this location 5-stars keeping in mind this is fast food. The chicken was cooked well with a tasty and crispy skin. The chicken is very flavorful and I really enjoyed it. It is better than Pollo Loco's chicken. The rice and beans were OK, too. The chicken is a result of the originator's own recipe. The chicken is marinated and then grilled. It comes out moist and tender and flavorful. This location is fairly big with lots of tables. It has a nice eating area with panoramic windows if you want to view the Valencia traffic. ;) The server was meh, you could tell she was "just working there" and that's about it. However, an Esmeralda was working the drive-through and sometimes the counter and listening to her wait on customers was a delight. I had to get a refill on my horchata and she was just cheery and positive. If you want a good alternative to fast food chains, try this local chain for a variety on your menu. It's one of the better chicken places in town. This is basically "just around the corner" for me and it is very convenient. Over the last eight years, this has been my go-to place for all of my Amazon returns. The employees are friendly. Decent hours that are convenient. We've even sent a few packages on our own. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. This place almost killed me. I ordered a burrito, I said "no cheese", she said "you want cheese?" I said (emphatically, because you know it's only my life on the line) "NO! NO CHEESE!"... got my burrito. Super surprised at this place. First of all their dining room was clean, with nice open spaces and plenty of room for seating. Their customer service was great I was greeted when I arrived and was told to have a nice day when I left. I ended up ordering the whole chicken meal to go and 1 chicken taco. I was visiting in Tucson and saw that this restaurant was nearby. So I read the reviews, they seemed mostly positive and I decided to try it out. When I arrived Sunday afternoon there were no vehicles in the parking lot except for one, which seemed odd because the surrounding restaurants had a pretty full parking lot. I figured they were closed but I was wrong. I came in and placed my order: 3 chicken tacos and a carne asada quesadilla. The total was about $16.00 so I was expecting to get a decent meal, and something more than taco bell quality food(I'm not picky). The chicken in the tacos were extremely dry, and the overall taco tasted like they were from Jack in the Box's leftover tacos that were to be tossed out for the day. Not a big deal I thought, I still have a yummy quesadilla! I moved onto the steak quesadilla: flavorless and and full of dry carne asada. Next I went and asked for some sour cream, the cashier said that will be $1.07. Luckily, her manager was nearby and waived the fee. I'd rather goto taco bell than eat here again. Maybe the service would be better if you arrive at Friday evening, but I wont be back anytime soon. read more

The chicken was delicious! The refried beans seemed a little soupy but were tasty. This was really good chicken! I was staying at the Marriott Courtyard walking to the Dennys when I noticed this place. I did a quick yelp check and saw positive recent reviews, so I gave it a try. For under $10, I got a two piece meal with breast and wing, two very large sides, 3 flour tortillas, a cheese quesadilla extra, and a medium drink. Everything tasted really good, was served hot, and was very good size portion. Inside the restaurant was very clean. Only complaint I have there was the loud tv playing Dr. Phil. Hard to enjoy my meal with that crap on at that volume. read more

Oh my gosh! This place doesn't get enough credit. The chicken was moist, rice was cooked all the way through and the whole beans were yummy!! The wait in the drive thru was not bad at all considering it was made to order! We are from California and wanted to try a place we can't get at home, and the people working here were so so sweet. We got to order all our food and Angelica who was working the drive thru was THE BEST! We adore her!! She was hilarious, sweet, helpful and SO kind. The family stayed at a hotel near this place for a second time in two weeks... Returning from a thanksgiving trip to Texas. The first time we avoided the place because it was empty, dark, and a little scary looking from the lack of customers that we had seen or not seen visiting the restaurant. Unfortunately we headed to the Denny's next door which was a total disaster. The second time we decided to give the place a try because it was either Chickenuevo or Burger King. Yeah, not a very difficult decision to make. Again, the place was dead and we felt a little awkward as we were the only customers there on a Saturday evening. We decided to get it to go because it was easier to feed our family of 5 in the hotel room. The place was clean, the staff was pleasant and the service was quick. Pricing was cheaper than what we would have paid at any other fast food restaurant so that was a plus. The food was surprisingly good. The chicken wasn't dry, it had a great taste and the salsas were pretty good as well. We chose the macaroni and whole beans as our sides. The only thing we were disappointed about was that we thought it would be Mac n cheese but it ended up being macaroni salad. That was our mistake as we should have asked prior to ordering. The beans were actually pretty good and had flavor. The guacamole on our chips was good too. My wife said it was too spicy for her but I thought it was tasty. The tortillas were good but I wish they would have given us more. 6 tortillas isn't enough for a family of 5, two of which are under 5 and love tortillas. Oh and they also put a fried jalapeño in with our chicken which was pretty awesome. All in all the experience was good, the food was tasty, and I would definitely consider giving Chickenuevo a try if you are unsure where to eat if you are staying in any of the nearby hotels. The restaurant was very clean and they had high chairs for my 11 month old niece. We tried the tacos dorados, chicken guacamole burrito and carne asada burrito. The food tastes great! My family cooks bomb Mexican food. I can say with confidence that the food was very good. We watched the news as we had dinner. I'm sure they can flip the channel to watch some sports.
