I tried to get a second table and the waiters started to ask my kids to move tables. I t got to a point that a manager came to ask me how many people were in my party. I told them that due to my party being so large I could not fit every body in a booth table. The food I'd good and the service is not bad but the waiters make you feel like they are hyenas and you are a piece of meat. Also they keeping asking about the how many people are in our party. About 15 min after this conversation with the manager my wife over herd the waiters talking among them self about my family so for a second time there was a issue with the seating even up to a point that the server got the wrong number of drinks (missing 3 drinks) and also missing 3 silverware. The manager came again and again we personally hand counted my party like if we were trying to hide a person from them I'm guessing so they won't be charged. I'm starting to regret coming to this place. Again the food is not bad but is the shitty customer service worth it he'll no. Now I live about 20min away and for years I have been coming here and this is not the first time something like this happens but I think this time is the straw that broke the camels back and I had to say something..... This was my first time there and I liked the food. Lots of choices. They failed to let me know that if I didn't finish the food on my plate. I will be charged $4 per plate. That is bad business. If I don't like something, you're pretty much telling me I have to eat it or I will be charged extra. I paid $30 for me and my son to eat during lunch time and should only have paid $16 . This is my guilty pleasure place. I eat healthy for the most part and try to stay active, but every now and then I just have to eat here. The food tastes great, for the fact that it's an Asian buffet. The location is pretty clean, the bathrooms are about a B-. I can't explain it... but I LOVE the wings at this place. Really is a 2.5 on taste but because of the variety of sushi makes it 3. The buffet food isn't as refined as it could be. Almost like they don't use woks and cook it in large batches. Teriyaki chicken was gooey. The green beans were missing that wok hei taste I like. Their steak is mixed in with pork steaks so that was a turnoff. Lots of fried food covered in batter and really needs to be something more Chinese. Their salad bar area are bowls on ice and didn't look so fresh. The oysters need to stay in the ocean. Ice cream was same old choc, van, straw, cookies. Boring. The mongolian grill was pretty good because the meat quality is better than most places. The beef tasted good in mine. Impressed to see such a large variety of sushi. Even had masago and raw salmon on there, and they tasted fine. Service was good. My husband and I ate at China Harbor in Weatherford two nights ago. I was expecting the same ol' stuff the other Chinese buffets offer, was pleasantly surprised to find the same ol' stuff was NOT to be found here though! The food was fresh and very, VERY tasty, my only complaint was the steak and ribs from the grill, they're only offered well done (on the dry side) and I prefer mine medium rare. The display was clean and visually appealing. The atmosphere was a little loud, but tolerable, and the t.v. was set on a Spanish channel, which as an American I don't speak, but I don't watch t.v. when I'm enjoying such wonderful food anyway. The price for the food we ate was wonderful, definitely worth every delicious bite! The wait staff tripped all over themselves to see to our satisfaction, and the manager (?) came by twice to check for herself. I am usually stuffed with one plate, rarely eat any sweets, but I had to go back for a second plate (so sad to say I couldn't completely finish it), and I grabbed two almond cookies (the best and freshest I've ever had) on my way out the door! This place sucks, they don't really want your order/business. Asked for Fried Rice order put in two paper carry-out containers. Was told they didn't have paper containers only styrofoam. Asked for side of sweet & sour sauce for egg rolls and cashier open cabinet to get small container for sauce only cabinet was full of paper carry-out containers. China Harbor is AMAZING. I recently just moved to Texas from New York, and after trying many buffets in Arlington, I must say China Harbor is definitely the best one. For less than $15, they offer a large variety of food and GOOD QUALITY food for that price. From sushi to all the seafood and that mongolian grill are all amazing. Of course you will not find the BEST quality food but this is not a fancy dine in restaurant that cost $200 a meal. I have no idea how they make money here because for a low price, they sure offer great items.A buffet like this will easily cost $30 in New York City. They don't try to cheat their customers at all. Vegetarians / people with dietary restrictions beware! I called and asked if they had vegetarian dumplings, and was happy to hear that they do! I ordered them for take out, picked them up, tipped the to go lady, got home and they were not vegetarian--they were pork dumplings. I haven't eaten pork in over 20 years, so this could have made me very, very ill. When I went to their online menu, I did not see vegetarian dumplings on the menu. Was I lied to? Was it an accident? I'm not sure, and I don't care to give them another opportunity to resolve that question. People with dietary restrictions (either by choice or by anatomy) should be taken care of by an establishment.
