So here I go again on my own!!! A co worker wanted to grab some lunch and said he knows a decent taco spot close by. Driving up I said this place looks familiar lol. This time I got two tacos carne asada and chicken. The asada was def decent grilled nicely not seasoned as much as I'd like but it was tender and had flavor. Baby that chicken was a whole different show. The chicken had flavor it wasn't dry and stringy it was moist and tasted like some kinda rotisserie chicken taco type. Im not the biggest chicken taco guy but id highly recommend theirs. Squeeze a little lime add the green sauce and the red sauce and your mouth will thank you for it. Decent amount of meat on both I left well satisfied.

This is a great casual spot for Mexican food. You order at the counter and then wait for your number to be called to pick up your food. I had a quesabirria taco and al pastor taco and both were really tasty, as well as the consommé. My only complaint is that the tables weren't the cleanest. The table I sat at had some cilantro on it, presumably from the person who had sat there last.

Came here because we read an article saying their breakfast burrito was the best in the city. It was not. Huevo con Chorizo Breakfast Burrito ($13.51) - Not bad. Good portion and fair price. It comes with 2 sauces that paired well. We added potatoes to it thinking it would be fried like hash browns, but it was just soft potatoes.

There were quite a few customers enjoy their Friday lunch at Cielito Lindo. The restaurant was colorfully decorated along the walls and with their tables. I ordered their Papas con Chorizo Breakfast burrito, which was a generous portion size and included everything that I wanted. It was filled with salsa, onions, and a good amount fo sausage and potatoes. It was a big burrito of crispy and cheesy goodness. It was a bit too greasy, however, which leaked onto the aluminum foil wrapper and the plate. My friend went with their quesabirrias, which were also just as impressive. The sauce was delicious and the dish itself was tender, which was great comfort food. Service was quick and friendly, and they were helpful in getting our food to-go afterwards too.

The Pambazo is a hearty sandwich to share - I devoured my half because I couldn't stop eating the deliciousness - even past my fullness...add salsas to taste! You will never leave Cielito Lindo hungry and never without a smile from Jose! Next order will be Huevos Rancheros, Chilaquiles, and Tortas... August 19 - horchata with ice, quesadilla Suiza con carne chorizo, al pastor taco - always perfectly delicious.

All sites and their storefront say they open at 8:30, so I started waiting outside at that time. There were definitely workers there, but I waited a half hour and they still didn't open the doors. I'm sure they saw the people waiting but didn't move to acknowledge us, and they didn't pick up their phones either. Somebody at the cafe next door said they sometimes open up even later, at around 10:30a, and that it seems random. Disappointed as they supposedly have a decent breakfast burrito. But there are plenty of other places to go. Don't waste your time here.

2.5/5 The hunt for Quesabirria continues... I came here on around 2PM on a Saturday and tried their 4 plate of Quesabirria ($27). The portions were big and fulfilling; 2 was enough for me. However, it was the lack of flavor and hardness of the meat that made this pretty mediocre for me; the broth was also just ok. My friends also tried the Breakfast Burritos and it was alright. I probably wouldn't come back.

A great taqueria to grab a breakfast burrito at. I chose the ham and egg breakfast burrito. Pretty filling and the ham and eggs were layered good inside. I like the green sauce to go with this burrito as it's not spicy and allowed me enjoy the taste. The Horchata was a nice drink to go with it too and was cinnamon like with a hint of sweetness. The guy working at the counter greeted me pretty warmly too.

It hurts to give a small mom and pop place such low rating. Unfortunately it was earned. The place and run down, not super clean, and not pleasant to dine in. The walls are beat up, chairs are ripped, bathroom is dirty/old and does not have a working soap dispenser or paper towel holder. I ordered vegan enchiladas, side of beans, and chips. The food was tasty and generous portions but unfortunately not enough to have me come back for a second time.

the older man working here made me feel extremely comfortable today. as i approached the counter he offered me a high five and i high fived him back as it seemed like an innocent and friendly gesture: he has served me food here before and has been polite. he went on to high five me three more times throughout me waiting for my order as he offered me a free drink which seemed extremely excessive and moved from the realm of polite/friendly to inappropriate and creepy. i declined the drink. he called me beautiful twice and asked my name. i grew extremely uncomfortable with the interaction and the next time he tried to fist bump me as he brought me food i declined and told him "i'm good" and in response he touched my shoulder. do not touch people without asking and just be professional. it made me unlikely to come here to eat alone which is extremely annoying because this was previously a go to spot for me. will be looking for different options in the area unfortunately, while hoping they see this and stop crossing boundaries with patrons of the restaurant. pains me to say it because i love their steak tacos! on a purely food level skip the super burrito and opt for the tacos instead they're much more flavorful and less expensive too

Super delicious food and the best customer service. My boyfriend and I stopped by and were greeted as soon as we came into the restaurant. All the staff were super friendly and patient with us. We only ordered one agua fresca, but when our order was ready the nicest young man gave us a sample of the cucumber water! So yummy. Also, be careful if you order your food with the spicy salsa, when they say spicy they mean it haha. Can't wait to go back! read more

Once for breakfast, today for dinner - 25 years in San Francisco, these burritos are some of the best. Authentic, fresh and flavorful. Breakfast burritos, they are on the menu just as you step inside. Giant and delicious, grab a coffee with a friend from the cafe next door and enjoy the public outdoor parklet that connect the two spots. TIP: The menu highlights tacos & their Mexican torta sandwiches. As I didn't see regular burritos, I asked if they make them and they were happy to oblige. read more

I had the quessabarria taco that came with dipping sauce ($6) and got the carne asada torta ($14). The torta was dry and the meat barley had any flavor. It was not what I was looking for especially a sandwich that costs the same amount as a meal. The Quessabarria taco was good I feel like getting and experiencing. It was my first time and I enjoyed it. If I come back, I would only come back for the quessabarria tacos. read more

Fantastic food and friendly family run business. This is my go to spot in the city. I would drive here FROM the Mission as I haven't found any place superior (and I've eaten at ALL the long standing joints in the city. I tried their birria burrito yesterday (newish to the menu) and was blown away. Not a gut bomb like most taquerias. Deliciously slow cooked beef and killer sauce made this quite possibly the best burrito I've ever had. It's a trek for me to get over there these days, but one bite makes it worth the trip. Support a local family business while supporting my tastebuds. This place is the BEST. read more

such a great spot! Tried the quesabirria tacos and a carne asada torta, both were on point with flavor. the horchata was way too gritty like it wasn't strained enough but the flavor was still right. So hard to find authentic Mexican places in sf but this place is it. i placed my order ahead of time and it was ready within ten minutes. read more

The wait is totally worth it, for some great authentic Mexican food in the outer Richmond. We ordered 2 chicken tacos , 2 chorizo tacos, vegan enchiladas, 2 aguas frescas: piña and jamaica. The tacos were hefty, ended up making 8 tacos out of them! I mean when you get a double tortilla then you know it's legit. They cook up one order at a time.. so just be patient people and support the local business. read more

Tried this place out when they initially opened and brought home quesabirria tacos for the family. Ever since, we have been elated that we can pick up tacos from Cielito Lindo and head to the park. It's a little pricey per taco but you're paying for the convenience of quesabirria without the wait time of making it yourself (if you can hehe). Definitely recommend! read more

The place is VERY dirty. The guy who made my burrito had such a gross shirt like if he just threw up on himself. You have like 7 people working in the kitchen and can't send one of them cleaning up a table? I couldn't find a clean spot and had to take my order and eat it in my car. read more

Food was good, but the cashier was a jerk. They play music inside and have this crappy speaker/mic for you to talk to the cashier, in which is difficult to hear. Cashier got frustrated since we had a hard time understanding him. I would only go for the quesabirra 4 piece for $22. Since that's what everyone is going for nowadays. read more

Amazing authentic Mexican food spot with even better customer service. I had the chorizo and egg burrito and it was absolutely delicious. It had the perfect egg to chorizo ratio and a buttery, flakey tortilla. Easily the best breakfast burritos in the city made by some of the best people. I have a horrible feeling this place is going to blow up and I'm never going to be able to get in here anymore. Anyway, they deserve it if they do because they are lovely people and their food is delicious; so far have had the quesiabirria, the enchilada and the chorizo breakfast burrito. The quesiabirria is delicious, so crispy with the great dipping consume, definitely spicy but I love that. Could eat this everyday. I suspected that the enchiladas would be disappointing after the delicious tacos but I was so wrong! Enchiladas are delicious! What a difficult choice to make between the two. Chorizo burrito is what hungover dreams are made of. And I haven't even tried the Sandwiches yet, which are really their specialty. Anyway, everything I've tried has been delicious, they're super nice people, hope this little spot does gangbusters. read more

This place is yelp popular which also means it's super slow. Slim line but my order took over 30 minutes. The food itself is ok. It's greasy and heavy where everything is pretty soft because it's all carbs and meat. You have to use the toppings to get anything fresh or crunchy. Prices are pretty expensive for what it is. Good to try but not going to return. Also, the guy at the register doesn't wear his mask properly so it doesn't cover his nose and he also helps with preparing the food. read more

We took our family to golden gate park for the weekend and wanted something quick and delicious after a long hike. Cielito Lindo is exactly that! It's very COVID-19 friendly and they are situated in front of an public parklet where you can enjoy your food. We ordered a plate of the queso birria (beef) that came with 4 tacos, radishes, cucumber, and consume. The consume was INCREDIBLE. We also ordered the pambasos, which were a very large portion and a decent price. Overall, we left full and satisfied. We will definitely go again! read more

Went here at like 9:30am because I'm not a breakfast food guy. Both my friend and myself got quesabirria. Absolutely amazing. We from Marin and just found this place randomly on Yelp. Legitimately worth the trip into SF... I go into SF every month or so for work and I'll probably be coming back to this place every time. Very nice staff too. read more

In the past (mind you, 7 years ago) I had gone earlier in the day and it was easier to get a seat. This time we were there at dinner time. Some things don't change after many years...and that's a good thing.

Its customer service come out pretty decent and promising. Would love to come back only for one thing, deep fried grasshoppers. For over 16 years, La Oaxaqueña had a unique variety of protein choices, from ostrich to venison which were game meats. Grasshoppers are the only bug protein they bring back once again. After 4 years, they're here to stay while they're available, just like Donaji. I love the chewy texture of the exoskeleton. I have one soft taco for tonight. Next time, I'll come back for a pair. Make it a trio! On second thought, I'll keep this a pair. Way back then, I could've sworn I seen how La Oaxaqueña once made batter fried tarantula tempura, but that was removed for safety reasons. I'll be looking forward to find out what La Oaxaqueña has in store for us.

When asking the waiter what I can get based on my needs, he responded to me like I was a war criminal. He was a Caucasian gentleman with brown hair. He raised his voice for all the diners to hear about my allergies, told me I couldn't get any pizza, and when I pointed out that there were options, he told me "I'll triple check if this is possible for you." When he came back and confirmed it was possible, he tells me they can do a gluten free pizza with vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni. It felt like the moment he heard 'gluten' and 'dairy,' he mentally categorized me as 'vegan' and stopped looking for ways to make the experience enjoyable. Yikes! Lol I fully recognize - girl, why did you go to a pizza spot with a gluten and dairy allergy? Yes I am not okay for this hahah but also I felt pretty embarrassed and treated really poorly. This experience doesn't reflect Tony's as a whole, but it was just a terrible interaction and that waiter made it real clear that he has no patience for anything that is inconvenient during his work shift.

Great quesabirria! $19 but they don't skimp on the meat one bit. The tortillas have a good amount of crisp. Very flavorful. I wish I had asked what the meat was (not sure if it was goat or not...) but it was great. They don't look as instagrammable as the ones from Tacos el Patron for example, but they taste just as good. My partner had the enchiladas (which were labeled "real Mexican style from Guanajuato") and she enjoyed them very much. They included a very, very spicy sauce (don't know the name) made from smoked peppers that went well with it. The menu is rather limited in terms of the number of items, but what they have (tortas, pambazo, breakfast burritos, chilaquiles, quesabirria, enchiladas) are unique offerings for the outer Richmond and we're lucky to have them. read more

Pambazo & Quesabirria Ok so I tried both the pambazo which has chorizo in it and it was fire. They heat up the bread in the sauce which adds so much flavor. I didn't think it was spicy at all but my spice tolerance is pretty high. Now for the Quesabirria, ok, yes, you have to get these as like your "side chips." I also requested for it to be a little more crisp than usual which they did and let me tell you this is how my mom and pop makes them at home too. I stumbled upon this small little restaurant by chance, and I'm so glad I did! The birria tacos were amazing--crispy tortillas, juicy and flavorful meat, and fresh toppings like onions and cilantro.
