We had no idea about this restaurant, but some friends ordered take out for us all and we were so surprised! We have now ordered on our own and the food is delicious. My husband can't stop talking about the lamb chops! I don't like lamb, but it's nice to see him so happy. The smacked cucumber salad is outstanding!! Absolutely delicious and refreshing. Loved it. We also had the fried sticky rice (amazing) and I had the mapo tofu, which I love but don't often get since my husband doesn't love tofu but since he got lamb chops... We are thrilled to find this restaurant, and especially because it is fairly close. Lucky us!

We ordered the crispy honey shrimp and crispy stuffed chicken among other dishes. I'm only reviewing these 2 dishes because these are one of the popular items they offer. Crispy Honey Shrimp - Lightly fried, sweet and somewhat sugary. This is delicious as they are jumbo size and split open easy to eat and get rid of the shells. They are somewhat sugary in my opinion, but still acceptable. Crispy Stuffed Chicken - Light crispy exterior, shrimp paste filling. I wasn't a big fan of the shrimp paste filling, but it was not bad. The light crisp skin was what balanced it out. I might try other dishes next time. The restaurants a little far out from where I live, but I can definitely consider if I'm in the area. Service was great, the place was about half filled, so no complaints there.

First time trying Colette since they changed ownership from years ago. If I could, I would've given them a 3.5 stars overall instead of 3. Let's start off with the service. We arrived at about 5:00pm and considering the dining room only had one other party, we thought the 3 servers behind the counter took quite some time to bring us our waters, or take our order. After ordering, the kitchen did have our food out in a relatively quick manner (probably because there were no other orders ahead of us in queue). The food presentation was decent, but none of the dishes that we ordered really had a "wow" factor to them. In fact; the broccoli was too heavily salted. The best dishes were the honey shrimp as well as the diced beef cubes, but once again, nothing to "write home about". Overall the restaurant is clean, and the outdoor patio looks aesthetically pleasing for photos. The one bathroom however is not kept very clean and had a stench to it. I don't think we will be returning, especially for the price point of the dishes.

This place really can fit any vibe you want it to have. The dishes here are also really creative and different than other places, which I always love. I definitely would have to recommend the black truffle mushroom noodles or the black truffle fried rice. Both are incredible. I loved that rice so much because it was one of my favorite dishes (chicken fried rice) and then made even better with truffle! Anyways would go back for that dish and maybe try some more of their dim sum menu!

Really solid Cantonese restaurant. The wok hei on the dishes was great, seafood tasted fresh, and the portions were generous. You can tell they focus more on flavor and consistency than trying to be trendy. Would definitely come back with family or friends.

Colette is a stop I always make when I am in the area and recently hosted a birthday dinner. The dishes are inventive and tasty. Favorites include the beef vermicelli, sui mai, chayote, fried pumpkin, tofu and mushrooms. They have a nice large patio area and the service is welcoming.

The restaurant nearby my home is so cozy and tasty.

Tasty food and nice service. The restaurant is nearby my home and definitely will be our home must go restaurant.

This is your traditional Cantonese restaurant. Husband & I came here recently for dinner during the holidays with his family. We went home well fed & satisfied. There were 12 of us so we ordered about 15 dishes to share. Every dish we had was simply good if not delicious with bold flavor. My favorites were dim sum & crispy stuffed chicken. I like that they prepare their ingredients from their local farmers market. Ambiance was bright & clean. Service was friendly & great! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for quality ingredients & want to explore variety of family style dishes. I'll be back for sure.

I stopped by here the other day with friends and we called for a reservation just in case. To my surprise the restaurant was pretty empty the entire time we were there. Service was great and they were attentive to our table. We ordered several dishes and a couple stood out for me (*): Kurobuta Char Siu* Smacked Cucumber Crispy Whole Chicken Golden Yolk Shrimp* Honey Glazed Shrimp Fried Sticky Rice Sauteed Cabbage with Bacon I'd like to try their Dim Sum dishes next time. Parking was easy to find. I see a patio section and I believe you can bring dogs here too.

Colette is a fantastic spot with great food, a lively atmosphere, and consistently enjoyable service. The dishes feel fresh, flavorful, and well-executed, with generous portions and strong presentation. Everything we tried had bold seasoning and a good balance of texture, especially the stir-fried dishes with crisp vegetables, tender meat, and rich sauce. The restaurant has a comfortable, energetic dining-room feel that works well for both casual meals and group dinners. Service was smooth and friendly, and the food came out at a good pace. 10/10 -- highly recommend for anyone looking for a flavorful Canton fusion meal in Pasadena.

Always the first choice when I don't know where to go. Everything is recommended. Easy parking with plenty indoor and patio seating, usually don't have to wait but reservation is recommended on holidays.

This was a great brunch place but is now a Chinese/dim sum place! Came here for brunch with the family and remember the first time I was here. Decor has changed but menu is completely different. We got the dumplings which our daughter loves, the green beans, beef chow fun, cucumbers and sticky fried rice. Everything was yummy and the service was top notch! Happy for this transformation!

Only brunch on the menu. No buffet. Hope this helps.

Everything, and I mean everything, was so delicious. One of the best dim sum places I've been to. The pricing of the items ranged from $8-$10 per item we ordered which is expensive but as a treat every once in a while and for the amount of time and effort that goes into making dim sum, it was worth it. I've tried making dim sum at home and it is so hard! Pricing breakdown: $8 items: - har gow (4 pcs) - siu mai (4 pcs) - black bean spare rib - pan fried turnip cake - egg custard $9 items: - chicken feet $10 items: - shrimp rice noodle roll I think they no longer have the tripe on their menu anymore bc I couldn't find it on their online ordering. Also their chili oil was priced at $0.98, which was kind of small, I would do without it next time. ---- The parking was really tough, luckily I had another person with me drop me off then I ordered and then we double parked waiting for it to be finished. The inside of the restaurant felt like an elevated dim sum place, things were neat and a darker ambiance which felt more intimate if you decided to eat in. Perfect family dim sum experience for us…read more We took out my parents and in-laws for dim sum: my parents' very first time ever. We did wait about an hour, but honestly I didn't mind at all because it gave us a chance to relax, talk, and catch up as a family. Once we were seated, my parents were immediately impressed with the decor: elegant and cultural without feeling overly modern or cold. And can we talk about the tea kettles? They looked like literal pieces of art being poured at the table. Ordering was super easy with the QR code system, so my husband handled the whole spread: shumai dumplings, chicken feet, sesame balls, and more. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully plated. The ENTIRE table agreed on one thing: the chili oil condiment deserves to be sold in bottles to take home. It was that good. Smoky, just the right amount of spicy, and addictive. Now for the real test: my in-laws. They've been to *many* dim sum places and are not easily impressed. They declared this place to have the best chicken feet that they've ever had: meat easily sucked off the bone, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and perfectly seasoned. High praise coming from dim sum veterans. Most importantly, my parents' first dim sum experience couldn't have been better. They loved everything from the ambiance to the food to the overall experience. My husband and I want to come back to explore more of the menu because there's clearly so much more to try

You really cannot go wrong with the xiao long bao, steamed buns, or any of their other dumpling offerings. Beyond the dumplings, they have a lot of other dishes I really enjoy. Some of my favorites are the beef rolls, spicy wontons, green onion pancake, chow fun, orange chicken, and chow mein noodles. The noodles are especially good and, importantly, not overly greasy or oily, which can sometimes be an issue at other places. The prices are also competitive, especially considering the portions and quality of the food. It is the kind of place where you can order a good spread, share a bunch of dishes, and feel like you got a solid meal for the money. I also love that they bring out sugared peanuts when you sit down. It is a small touch, but a really nice one. The restaurant has plenty of seating, though service can be a bit slow at times, so good luck flagging down a waiter when it gets busy. You can also tell they are a high-volume dumpling restaurant because there is often steam in the dining room, which can make the restaurant feel a little warm at times. A couple of practical heads-ups: the tables are on the smaller side and can get crowded quickly if you order a lot of dishes, so just be mindful if you are planning to feast. You will also likely need to park in one of the structures around the area, but there is a large parking structure right across the street and plenty of parking options around Old Town.
