Was a little skeptical because of the overall 3 star rating, but so far we've been there twice and it's been solid. Just don't order the flautas - or I should say order the flautas if you want two chicken chimichangas because that's essentially what it is. (2 for $7) But onto the other things that made us come back: -Carne Asada Fries: fries not too overly greasy or too soggy. Toppings are decent, and portion size is average. Asada not chewy - and saltiness is just right. And they put a tortilla at the bottom of the fries - perhaps too seep up the grease? Either way I tend to make a asada fry burrito with my leftovers and it's delicious! -Cali-Surfing: Whatever the cream sauce is...yum. Huge burrito, big taste. Ordered it both times so far because its been a fav. What didn't rock the boat: -Quesadilla: I guess what weirded me out was the fact that it looked as if they made two chicken burritos and smashed it down? Was the weirdest looking quesadilla to me. Taste was fine though. -Tip: We are totally cool tipping, but asking to add tip before getting our food - super awkward. Either have that on the sign line or get a tip jar? Terrible service and terrible food. The Caldo De Res was old and slimy, the Shrimp Burrito was cold. So with that plus 2 beers it was $57.00. Ridiculous. It's not even the cost it was the taste of the food. I let her know the soup tasted microwaved and old and the meat had tons of grisle and fat.. I only ate 2 bites and she said"ok". Steak and bacon breakfast burrito. If you haven't had this burrito from this location, you are missing out. The burrito was the size of my forearm and I am a 275 pound man. An abundant amount of eggs, bacon and Carne Asada with some cheese and sour cream. Absolutely delicious and they provided plenty of salsa packets, without having to ask for more, that lasted the whole burrito. Price was just over $14 and worth every bite. It's definitely enough for two people or one gorilla-sized man like myself. I would have uploaded a photo, but it was so good. I just plowed through it. A somewhat different menu then the Temecula store, we decided to give the Cotijas Taco Shop in Murrieta a try. We placed the order on DoorDash for 1 shredded chicken burrito and 1 carne asada burrito, a 4oz diablo sauce and 4 oz guacamole. I have a dash pass but had to pay a fee of $1.99 for extended range delivery. The cost for items are simular to Temecula but the quality did not seem to be the same. The carne asada burrito was lacking carne asada and the shredded chicken burrito seemed to have a shit load of cheese in it. The diablo sauce was not as flavorful and creamy as the Temecula store and as for the guacamole, it was on par to Temecula. The major pisser on this order was they provided no other salsa or sauces with the order. What the hell? Live and learn. In the future, we will stick with ordering from Temecula and if for some reason they are not delivering like the case for New Years Eve day, we will try another option in Temecula. Every time I dine in, they are very welcoming and I enjoy coming to a place that feels welcoming and friendly. I came in today and placed an order to go and the front cashier lady brought me some chips and a drink while I waited for my order to be ready. Drive through is very fast. A friend who has lived here for 16 years said this place is great. I point out that he's been here for almost two decades because I do think that over time, his palette has adapted to the area and his standards have lowered. So coming here with a group of people who just came from LA, we all walked out disappointed. First off the burritos are just stuffed with rice. It's not a shrimp burrito, it's a rice burrito with a few pieces of shrimp. The tacos were just a soggy mess. The prices were decent but I would rather spend more for better food. I was starving between meetings and stopped in here originally for a breakfast burrito. The girl in the drive they stated it's taco Wednesday with $1.49 tacos. I got a fish taco (not pictured cuz I inhaled it) and a taco with buche. Finding a place with buche is RARE so I was ecstatic and it was delicious. The fish taco was large with plenty of cabbage, tomatoes, and sauce. I also ordered an horchata which was not overly sweet nor did it have too much cinnamon. Nasty, nasty, nasty! I previously gave this place a 5-star, but that was over 3 years ago and it hasn't been the same. I've been a few times over the last year and it was just okay. I went today and got a breakfast burrito that I used to love there. The sausage was way overcooked, but way worse was when i bit into it and felt something very rubbery. I looked at it and pulled it out, it was bout 4 inches long, almost the size of a roku/amazon remote. Pretty sure it was a gross chunk of the ham. There is no way you can accidentally overlook this to put into a burrito. You have to be completely incompetent or it was on purpose. Either way is a huge no to me on ever going back there again. This place is my favorite go to taco shop to say the least. The manager is the best she will make anything you want. She treats everybody like family they will make anything to your liking and go out of their way for you. The food is so good I've never seen so much steak on a Carne Asada street taco EVER !!! You just have to tell them how you like it and they will make it for you. Prices are incredible. The people that work here are great. The manager is even more fantastic. She takes care of you and if you have a problem with any of the employees she will fix i It .. The avocado salsa is the best that I've ever tasted to see in Wednesday of course is my favorite day because the prices are great but they come here whenever I can eat out they have TV for you to watch and the food is definitely authentic M I forgot to add how delicious their fish tacos are there beer battered they are so good. I customize Mine because I can't Chew big chunks of cabbage, but they are so good. Great fast food Mexican Restaurant. We were driving through and decided that we needed chips and guacamole, good choice the chips were warm and the guacamole was smooth and delicious not to over seasoned, just perfect. I ordered fish tacos and they were so good I ordered another one. The dressing was delicious the fish was freshly fried and was white and flaky. My friend has carne asada plate and it was wonderful, she was very happy with her selection. The do serve beer but we had sodas since we were just beginning our road trip.
