Two sliders with fries 1299+ a strawberry shake for $3.95 medium- super delicious! Perfect amount of zest, I wouldn't consider it "spicy" at all. It's more on the flavorful side. Perfect crunch to the fries and chicken!! I will definitely be returning. Strawberry shake takes like STRAWBERRIES and has a perfect consistency- not super thick like In-N-Out 's shake that must sit out for 10 minutes before it can actually be drank through the straw. *Orange special sauce is good, but Not needed. read more

Amazing service amazing food. The ladies at the counter were so sweet and friendly. They were literally greeting everyone who walked in to keep a friendly ambiance going. The combo is so worth the price!! If you split with a friend you can each get a sandwich and share fries for like 7$ per person. The chicken sandwich spicy levels are not as consistent as other spicy chicken places. I usually get med/med high spicy but here I'd get the high level spicy. Similarly with other friends they would level up on the spiciness. My friends and I all agree the fries are the bomb - 10/10 crispy and soft inside and delicious with the sauce they give (which you can ask for more for free I believe, compared to howlin rays or elsewhere where you have to purchase for 50 cents) read more

When I first time tried their fried chicken it was awesome It was just when they opened. Unfortunately after few months, the quality droppeda lot. Too much oily and wierd aftertaste. No service Apparently catering orders take priority over every other customer in the restaurant, waited 15 minutes for my soda cup and had to ask to get it. Then waited 40 minutes for 3 chicken tenders while they filled multiple catering orders. I barely was able to eat and was late, on top of that the only guy working was straight up rude about it. The chicken always delivers. It's perfectly crunchy and moist on the inside. No such thing as dry chicken here. Seasoning is great, I always opt for the medium and it's the perfect amount of kick for me. [PARKING] They are located on a busier street, the back parking lot is very small and is shared with other neighboring businesses (Starbucks for example). The drive thru line for Starbucks can make it hard to navigate. [STAFF] Very friendly from the get go. Was helped by two gentleman that were patient with me when deciding on the menu. I don't even know where to begin with how awful my experience was at Dave's Hot Chicken. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear the staff couldn't care less about customers. We were greeted with nothing but eye rolls and attitude. The place was dirty, with trash on the floor and empty tables that weren't being cleaned. After waiting forever just to place our order, the employee who helped us acted like we were an inconvenience, practically throwing our food at us with an attitude. To top it off, there was no apology, no offer to fix the problem, and no professionalism whatsoever. I've never felt so disrespected at a restaurant in my life. I spend 75% of my time opening up the honey packets to put on my chicken. Granted the number of locations you have in the number of employees you have it doesn't take a rocket scientist to point out that if you're providing sauce to your clients while they're eating they would rather focus their entire attention on eating their food versus trying to figure out how to open those mini honey packets to pour on their sandwich. Your management needs to step it up and buy a dispenser for honey and other sauces that you have people want to eat and enjoy. They don't want to spend time opening up ketchup, packets or honey packets for that matter. Stop being cheap step up your game. read more

Had to see if the hype was real... News Flash: it is. Super yummy. Upon entering I noticed right away the place was very clean and well lit. The staff was not around but after a minute of reading the menu someone appeared from behind us and asked us what we wanted. I got the slider combo and my partner got a slider and a tender; both come with fries. I asked what types of peppers were in the hot and extra hot With hot being jalapeño and extra being habanero we went with the Extra Hot. I asked if the mac & cheese was good and was told "I don't eat mac & cheese, but I eat Our mac & cheese" so, of course, I had to order it. The chicken was fire in more than just the rub. Such golden, crunchy battered outside with a tender and juicy white meat. Having never had hot chicken I did what I thought A) I was supposed to do and B) I would never do and I put honey on my chicken. It was really good but killed too much of the spice. The kale slaw was tangy and crispy; the perfect compliment to the chicken. I'll start with the good... the chicken was good... cooked well and moist... problem happens with them listening to the orders! There was two sandwiches... one a slider the other was a vegetarian sandwich... both ordered with NO PICKLES! They both were delivered in the box with a huge stack of pickles ( at least 5) on the bottom of what was a completely destroyed bun the. Adding insult to injury there was another stack of 8 pickles next to the sandwich! Now for the 4 of us with 2 2 piece meals and 2 sandwiches 4 sodas... the cost was $75... call me crazy but that seems pretty expensive... especially for a place that BLOWS YOUR ORDER! read more

Honestly I love Dave's. It's great food! Deserves 5/5. However this review is exclusively regarding their pick up policies. I don't wanna put an order for pick up and be told 30-45minutes, then get to the store and be told another 15 to 20 minutes. At that point I'm not placing a pick up order, I'm waiting in line like everyone else. That's a horrible system no matter how busy you are you must cater to providing the time properly. If you can't handle the amount of customers give longer wait times... unbelievable that a pick up order wait time is as long as waiting in person. Took my kids with me to this location in Glendale. Parking is a bit tough. Service was spot on and the employees there were helpful. It's a little pricey but the portions are solid. Ordered the #1 (2 Hot and 1 Medium). The higher levels were extra hot and reaper. Didn't dare for either of those levels. My kids felt it was too spicy and didn't really eat much except for the fries and pickles. I had the Hot and it was nice and spicy but not to the point where it wasn't enjoyable. The flavor was good. Definitely recommend you use the bread as that does two things: it keeps from burning your hand (in terms of spice and hot oil) and it mellows the heat as the bread absorbs the capsicum. The fries were solid and the pickles were as well. I would give them another try. Maybe next time I'll brave for the extra hot. read more

I love this location because it is never packed, when I go for my lunch time. I have a limited amount of time for my lunch so it is very convenient that it is a fast process to get my food. I always order online and never have any issues when picking up. I used to get the tender and sandwich combo but I realized it was too much for me to eat, so I discovered they had just a sandwich with fries combo and this worked perfectly. I love the taste of Daves, their fries and their sauce are very good as well. The only thing, which personally is not necessarily a negative, is that their "hot" flavor isn't very hot. Very flavorful but not spicy. I started off with medium and upgraded to hot because of this (it not being spicy) and the hot is very similar to medium. So I will upgrade to the next level next time. Needs some work and more training for some employees. We ordered for picked up, we walked in, checked in with our name for our food, and the worker gave us our food. We go back to the car to eat our food but to only find out that we had the wrong order(at this point we already opened it and ate fries thinking it was ours). No matter, we go back inside, let them know that we got the wrong box and we give them back the food. But they put it BACK on the table for pick up orders! You would think that they would throw it away and make a new order since we opened it up and were about to eat it in our car!! But nope, they put it back and a couple minutes later( lady with a similar sounding name as me) picked up her food and walked off. Not knowing that some strangers were breathing on her food. Dave's is great for a quick and easy meal. They aren't as good as most hot chicken places but they are better than the fast food options out there for similar spicy chicken. I love ordering the sliders, they fill me up and not too expensive. The chicken is to die for! It ripples apart piece by piece, absolutely delicious. It's the perfect tender, crunchy on the outside with a soft inside. There's a multitude of spice levels you can choose from. There's also an option with no spice if that's what your fond of. Employees are beyond respectful. I couldn't be happier that they finally opened a legit fried chicken shop in my neighborhood! I've been dying to try this place for awhile, and it really lived up to the hype!! Ordered combo #3 which comes with a slider and 2 chicken tenders. BOMB. Only thing I would say is their levels of spicy ness isn't that different from each level, but the seasoning is on point! Their chicken is super juicy and I love how they pack it with fries and sauce. (Including honey!) BEST thing in Glendale forsure!! There's usually a line, but it moves fairly quickly. The food doesn't come out super fast.. so you probs have to wait 20 mins~ but trust me. Worth the wait!
