It's a Denny's after all so nothing fancy about it. I went here for lunch to try out their Beyond Burger. We were promptly seated and I ordered the Beyond Burger, potato soup, fries, and strawberry lemonade. It was a slow day so the food came out quickly. The interior looks more outdated than the other Denny's. This is my first time trying out a plant-based burger and I absolutely loved it! To my surprised, it looks and taste lIke a real meat burger! Actually, the Beyond patty taste better than the beef version! The burger is very good and I'll definitely order it again. On the other hand, I didn't like the soup and fries. I love French fries but it was a big no-no here. Our server was good and very friendly. read more

Didn't even get a chance to see how the table service was because of how we felt at the door before getting sat. Initially there was a few large parties sitting down so I could understand the wait and they may have been understaffed. I work in restaurant service and understand how nights go. My party, 2, was placed on a waitlist after a party of 11 and they were sat after 10 minutes or so. After they were sat, I assumed that my party would be next, until a party of 4 comes in, puts their name on the wait list, and within 5 minutes are sat immediately. Without calling my party prior to see if we were there, checking in on us with an estimated time or even coming to take us to a table after, the waitress took them to their table and went to the back right after. This left a sour flavor in my mouth and we just left immediately after that. read more

This is our favorite Denny's to go to! We have never had to wait too long to get seated and the space does not feel crowded at all (like many other Denny's or breakfast places). We went for dinner tonight and it was nice and empty and we were seated right away. Diner is super clean and staff is very pleasant. Food was out within 10-15 minutes. If your looking for a Denny's in the area that is not crowded and customer friendly - visit this one. I do have to disclose that breakfast times you might have a greater wait but it's not that bad. The longest we have waited is 15 minutes for breakfast (not bad). I have been to many and trust me when I say this one is by far the best! Tonight was a very exhausting day. I was starving and drained. I came to eat late dinner and was not expecting anything great but again this place didn't fail me. The server, Mia attended to our needs with such a big smile, welcoming us and served our orders promptly . For a moment, I forgot what a challenging day was for me as a frontline worker . First of all the place is extremely slow. There were about 4 tables taken. There were 3 booth tables dirty. And still had to wait for a booth to be cleaned to sit. Food is not great. Customer service has gotten worse than before. Will not be coming to this Dennys indefinitely. Not once was I ask how's everything. Got served a dirty water cup. I told the server. He took it back. Came here for a late dinner w/my family. My son was asking for Dennys so we stopped by. We had an order of nachos from a stop we had made prior. A man whom I'm assuming was the manager was extremely rude and walked over to us and told us to leave because we had brought in outside food. He walked over shaking his head no from afar. There were many other families dining in around us and he honestly made us feel extremely uncomfortable and told us we knew we had to get out. I think a restaurant like Dennys would have a manager in place with a bit more customer service/management skills. I think Mr. Sagar (the name he mumbled to us after arguing for 5 minutes straight about not being able to "disclose his name" even though he is the manager in charge of the location) could've approached us as his customers in a much more polite manner. Something along the lines of "Good Evening unfortunately we do not provide service to anyone who brings in food from another location" or "If you'd like to order something we can pack it to go" would have felt a little less demeaning I just think Mr Sagar should really put thought into how he approaches his customers in the future especially being in management. There will be many situations such such as this one in the customer service field and hoping to help with this review to get him the training he may need to make better decisions in the future and more importantly to avoid a person in leadership to make families dining out with their children feel belittled and as uncomfortable as you did Mr Sagar. read more

Nostalgia can kiss my ass. Havent been to a Dennys in a long time. Now, I remember.... The customers in here are loud and boisterous with kids running around and babies crying. I walk in to you location at 2:30 sharp the host was nice and friendly 1/2 the dining room was blocked by chairs and tables. The host said " seat anywhere you want I will bring you a menu" I proceeded to seat on the only clean booth. I saw about 10 employees. In the dining room all cleaning and doing side work 2 mopping 1 host 1 guy with glasses who looked like a food runner server- 3 standing by the line one other server I assume. I patiently waited 5 -10 min everybody will walk by me no one acknowledged me no one greeted me no menu. Waited another 5 minutes but everyone's priority was to clean and get out 2:46pm I decided to walk out. I told the 2 ladies on the line " I know you don't care that I'm leaving since you ignore me for the last 15 min but I'm leaving ". What is this place!???? Ok, so we've all been there ... it's 3:30am and there's nothing open ... so naturally you go to denny's. I get, but come on people! This denny's is dead - like you could film a scary movie in it kinda dead ... and the food is just meh in general. My husband was feeling like country fried steak so we decided to go to Dennys in Pico Rivera, CA. He had to send the plate back because it was improperly cooked, seemed raw and falling apart. This is one of my husband's favorite plates but not today. I ordered a t-bone steak plate and requested the steak be cooked well done but not burnt. Steak was medium cooked, pale in color and very little flavor. Our hot tea was warm tea. Even after requesting more hot water, the new water was still warm. We asked for a glass of water and that took a good 15 minutes. Waiter was nice but had a lazy demeanor. Also, the lady cleaning the tables was complaining that she was very tired while cleaning our table and the cart was already overloaded with dirty plates from probably earlier that evening because there wasn't many people while we were there. The ambiance: seats were uncomfortable, no cushion; windows were dirty; lighting was ok. FYI My husband ended up ordering a salmon plate, which was much better btw. Horrible service. Ordered food online waited the 30 min when I walked up to the counter they said it would be ready in another 10-15 min. Walked back inside and it still wasn't ready and the cooks in the back were arguing with each other saying the food had gone out. I went for Mother's Day and it wasn't a great experience. The girls at the front desk where texting while working . Our table was super dirty and our seats. Food was super cold when we got it . Was on Whittier running errands and was in need of a cup of decaf and a bite to eat My friend suggested we go to Dennys. Yvette R our server was the nicest. She found the OVER 55 Menu for me. I ordered the club with Onion Rings and my friend had a slice of Pumpkin pie. We both had decaf. Yvette went and got us hazelnut creamer because my friend can't tolerate Half and Half. She came and refilled our cups without having to ask. The club sandwich was yummy .7 grain bread and with Turkey and crisp lettuce and a big tomato slice. My friend enjoyed his pumpkin pie with a dollop of whip cream . Overall it was a great dining experience. I used my AARP card and received my 15 % discount . I've been coming to this Denny's off and on since they opened. I've since moved away, and I do not make it home as often as I would like to. I was in town on 12/2/19 and I was joined by family and we thought we'd take a stroll down memory lane and visit our favorite Denny's for lunch. Everything was going very well as my family and I reminisced, when suddenly someone scratched the record. An elderly Latin woman began screaming offenses and profanity without regard for other patrons (myself and family included). The poor "waiter" This kid couldn't have been older than thirty years young. The waiter could only look on while the irate lady continued despite the waiter's plea to calm herself. Everyone in the restaurant was privy to the shenanigans taking place. The Manager was a mere spectator as this situation was evidently beyond his control. Myself, having worked retail during my college years, I know the customer is always right. But I must ask myself as I would Imagine many others did as well at what point does Management step in and have their employee's back when a customer is that out of control? It shouldn't be that hard to make an honest living these days? Should it? Hey upper Management of Denny's worldwide! How about treating your employees like human beings, its not always about making a buck!! The police finally came to restore order. They should have taken the lady mentioned above for disorderly conduct, but that's just my opinion. I will not be coming back to dine! read more

Came to this place and got a table right away since it was only about 25% capacity. We instantly felt the stuffiness and tried to ignore it as we browsed the menu. After ordering and around ten minutes into our stay we began to feel a sweat coming on so I decided to ask the hostess if they could turn up the AC. She agreed that It was hot and asked the manager if they could do something. I heard the manager say that there was nothing she could do about it as she pointed to the thermostat on the wall locked behind a clear plastic cover... I imagine that the business owners care more about a lower electricity bill than they do about their customers. So we sat there for another five minutes trying to bear it as our comfort level declined and watched one of their servers sweating as if he was in a sauna. Two things crossed my mind; one, we are paying for this and deserve some comfort during our visit... and two, there is a MUCH nicer place down the street (Norm's) with great AC and better food for the same price. So we got up, canceled our order and left. In the past, and during cooler climate, the staff at this Denny's has done fair at their job and given the opportunity I feel that in this case they may have corrected the situation. Unfortunately it appeared out of their hands and more of a choice made by the owners which ultimately still translates to a bad experience. I don't think we'll be coming back to this location anytime soon and I look forward to what corporate has to say about it. Skip the sauna and go for a much better dining experience somewhere else. read more
